August 8th, 2022, I'll never forget where I was when I found out that the FBI and the Department of Justice disgraced itself with that outrageous raid of Donald Trump's summer home Mar-a-Lago. This photo, that kind of shocked everybody when we first saw it. That's what it was designed to do, but it was fake. Yeah, the FBI arranged all this stuff for political effect. These are the documents you see there. The FBI, it looks like, brought them with them into Mar-a-Lago. They weren't there originally. Judge Aileen Cannon seems to be sniffing out government corruption. She's all over this. And for that, she's getting a really hard time from the fake news. Julie Kelly is one of the most important journalists in the country right now. You've got to check her out at Real Clear Investigations and a few other platforms. Julie, welcome back. Wow. All right. You're in the middle of all of this. That photo I showed is essentially a fake. Take us through that if you could. Correct. So that photo, Greg, as you may recall, was distributed a few weeks after the Mar-a-Lago raid. It was actually attached as an exhibit for a DOJ response to Donald Trump's lawsuit seeking a special master, a third party, to vet all of the evidence that had been taken out of Mar-a-Lago. That is what landed on Judge Aileen Cannon's, her desk, almost two years ago. So this not only was just a prop photo, Greg, what's even more egregious is that it is used in a court document by our own government. At the time, the way it was described, Greg, is, oh, certain documents were found with classified cover sheets out of these boxes. That's how DOJ originally described it. As for 18 months later, as the documents cases proceeding in Florida, Judge Cannon is unredacting and unsealing motions and exhibits, all of a sudden, we find out that FBI agents took classified cover sheets to the raid. To use them, we were told in a motion a few months ago that I reported on, to use them as placeholders so that later investigators could find out, oh, here's a classified document. Here was a classified cover sheet to indicate where that document was found. No, no, no, of course, that's not what happened. Then last night, Greg, Special Counsel Jack Smith finally admits that they attached those cover sheets to certain documents and took photos. Now, why did it take them almost two years to disclose that? Well, we know why, because that photo was a stunt. It was those cover sheets were used as props. They mishandled evidence. We don't even know what the documents, the underlying documents were, but their story now has changed at least three different times over the past two years. Just one other corrupt, dirty, sloppy aspect of this entire case, but more importantly, this unprecedented armed raid of Mar-a-Lago in August of 2022. It's so amazing. If I could look at that picture one more time, because the most shocking thing, the thing that was designed to get our attention are the things with secret on them. You see with the red border and the yellow border, and these things may have been brought in by the FBI, totally staged. All right, now this is a complex case. I mean, the case is fake, but there's a lot of stuff going on. Give us a sense of the judge's, and you're in the courtroom, the judge's overall kind of direction, I believe from your reporting and what I'm seeing, she's very skeptical of the government and even angry at the government, and she seems to know that this is what we all know, a political scam designed to take out Trump. Well, Greg, as you know, Judge Cannon did take the extraordinary step in September of 2022 and did appoint a special master, basically telling DOJ at the time, "I don't trust you to handle this unprecedented case in a non-political, above-board professional way." She was overturned by her circuit court, but she was 100% right at the time, and now everything that she expressed concern about back then is now coming to fruition, not just the mishandling of evidence, but of course, this overly broad warrant that it appears the FBI agents violated so they could ransack Melania's private bedroom suite. They could ransack Barron's bedroom suite that came up today in one of the court hearings. What Judge Cannon is doing, though, Greg, she has basically turned the tables, and she has put DOJ and special counsel Jack Smith on a series of mini trials, and just in the past few days, she heard a motion to dismiss based on the unlawful unconstitutional appointment of Jack Smith that took a day and a half. I was in the courtroom yesterday where Jack Smith's proposed gag order was discussed and debated. At one point, she actually had to threaten to remove one of Jack Smith's top prosecutors, David Harbach, for being so disrespectful to her in her courtroom. She said to him, "I don't appreciate your tone. I demand decorum in my courtroom at all times, and if you can't do that, one of your colleagues will." He ended up apologizing to her at the end of yesterday's hearing. Today was more discussion about the Mar-a-Lago raid, but there's more to come here, and what Judge Cannon is doing, Greg, she is a one-woman wrecking crew. She is exposing almost single-handedly and under tremendous fire from the media and Democrats to expose exactly, to your point, how bogus this case is, how dangerous the raid really was, and now evidence mishandled and possibly missing before this case even gets to trial. It's astounding, totally astounding. We're almost out of time, like the attacks on her, especially from MSNBC, they're so vicious, and I feel like they are targeted, maybe at her, maybe at her colleagues, maybe at her supervisor, if there is one, I mean, they really want something to happen to her. Am I right? I think they are treading a very dangerous line. Look, there is also already a woman from Texas who was sentenced to three years in prison in 2022 for making legitimate death threats about Aileen Cannon. Greg, I talked to locals in that town yesterday who say her family can't even order a pizza anymore, because they are so afraid and legitimate fears about her safety and her family's safety. Here she is yesterday having to listen to the gag order proposal by Jackson's team claiming that Donald Trump's criticism about the Mar-a-Lago raid pose a threat to law enforcement officials in that case. It's amazing. So she is staying strong, though, and there are more bombshell motions and hearings to come.
