Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._ # Psychological Analysis: Trump Tweet (March 8, 2013) ## Post Context **Timestamp Analysis:** Posted at 03:56 UTC on March 8, 2013, which converts to approximately 10:56 PM EDT on March 7, 2013. Trump was likely in Florida during the [WGC-Cadillac Championship at his Doral resort](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_WGC-Cadillac_Championship) (March 7-10, 2013). This late-night timing strongly suggests authentic authorship. **Content:** A quote-retweet response to a follower asking "what's the next step you accomplish so much, is there more?" Trump responds: "Much more - stay tuned!" ## Level 1: Dispositional Traits (Big Five) **Extraversion (High):** - Active late-night engagement with followers demonstrates high social energy - Assertive self-presentation ("accomplish so much") - Positive affect in response to admiration **Agreeableness (Low-Moderate):** - Absence of modesty; tacit acceptance of the premise that he "accomplish[es] so much" - Engages warmly with admiring follower **Conscientiousness (Moderate):** - Achievement orientation evident in framing - Forward-looking, goal-oriented response **Neuroticism (Low in this sample):** - Calm, confident tone - No defensive reactivity **Openness (Moderate):** - Vague about specifics; maintains mystery ("stay tuned") ## Level 2: Characteristic Adaptations **Dominant Motives:** - **Agency (Power/Achievement):** Very high. The exchange centers on accomplishments and future success. - **Status maintenance:** Accepts admiration without deflection - **Audience engagement:** Keeps followers interested in his narrative **Schemas:** - **Self-view:** Highly accomplished, momentum-building, perpetually ascending - **View of followers:** Audience for his success narrative; sources of validation - **View of world:** Platform for achievement; unlimited opportunity ## Level 3: Narrative Identity **Protagonist Role:** The **Builder/Achiever** who perpetually has "more" in store. This is Trump's core identity claim during this 2013 period—a successful businessman with unlimited projects and ambitions. **Narrative Sequence:** Embedded **redemption arc**—past accomplishments are prologue to even greater future success. The phrase "Much more" implies an upward trajectory. **Identity Claims:** - Prolific accomplisher (implicitly endorsed by echoing the follower's framing) - Someone with exciting plans worthy of anticipation **Contrasting Other:** Not explicitly present in this post; the focus is entirely on self-aggrandizement rather than comparison/contrast. ## Level 4: Clinical Indicators ### Malignant Narcissism Assessment **A. The mood was uniformly sunny and self-congratulatory, with no flashes of anger or political combativeness. The one exception was a brief remark about Chinese espionage at NASA, which stood out as the only political content in an otherwise wall-to-wall brand-building day. A single post at 2:26 AM suggests he may have been up late or briefly woke during the night. Full digest for 2013-03-08: https://trump.fm/date/2013-03-08/analysis ## Citation - APA: Trump, D. J.
