## Post text

> Darline Graham has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election as U.S. Senator from South Carolina — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

## What the media says

**Video transcript** (4:03), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> A very special hello to South Carolina, a place I love. I won three times, three out of three, and got the highest vote in the history of your state by just high numbers, record numbers. It's been incredible. The relationship I've had to your state has been unbelievable, and the relationship I have to you, and I appreciate it, very important. I'm asking everyone in South Carolina to get out and vote for a wonderful person, a great woman, I believe, a woman that Lindsey Graham said is the greatest person he's ever met, respected her more than any other person he's ever met, which always bothered me, 'cause I said, "Well, what about me?" I thought I was there. No, I think it was the sister, Darlene. He loved his sister, he respected his sister, and he was a great guy. So I'm here to ask you to get out and vote for Darlene Graham for the United States Senate. She's really got what it takes. She's an amazing person. I've gotten to know her very well. Darlene has devoted her entire life to the people of South Carolina, and after her brother, the late, great Lindsey Graham, and he was indeed, he was a great politician, actually, passed away unexpectedly. I asked Darlene to run. She's already a respected member of the Senate who is delivering for your state every single day. She just won a primary race against a very talented, very good politician, and she won quite easily, and she's a winner. She's gonna be a winner, and she's gonna be somebody that South Carolina's very proud of. Darlene is fighting to give you the lowest taxes, the biggest paychecks, the strongest, most secure borders ever, and she will always defend your right to keep and bear arms. In other words, she will always defend your Second Amendment. Darlene is running against a radical left maniac who's totally misunderstood. They don't know how bad she is, named Annie Andrews, who wants schools to turn your children transgender as soon as possible. She's in favor of the transgender mutilization of your children. She's in favor of men and women's sports and illegal aliens pouring into South Carolina. She wants high taxes, and she's willing to allow high crime. She doesn't care. She even told her supporters to defund the police and to abolish the police if possible. And you know, one thing I've learned about politicians, it's the first words out of their mouth, and then they change for an election. But when they say it, the first things they say, that's what they go back to all the time, always. South Carolina needs to defeat Annie Andrews and elect the incredible Darlene Graham to the United States Senate. Early voting begins on October 19th and ends on Saturday, October 31st. Vote early or vote on Election Day, November 3rd, but you have to get out and vote for Darlene. She's gonna be an incredible, really an unbelievable Senator. And like her brothers, it's good genetics. Her brother was a great politician who really helped me a lot. He could deal with anybody and he often had to. And she's something that's gonna be very special. You're lucky to have her. So South Carolina, go out and vote for Darlene Graham. You'll be very proud of your vote years from now. When you look back, gonna be very proud of that vote. And thank you very much for what you've done for me. Three wins by the highest totals ever in the history of your state. You can't do better than that and I love you too. Thank you very much.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-10-17T17:09:21.679Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## A form endorsement posted between Air Force One updates

This post is the standard endorsement template, with only the name and office changed. Minutes earlier the account posted "Russell Fry has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election as U.S. Representative from South Carolina's 7th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" The Graham post copies that sentence frame, the em-dash, the capitalized closing pledge and the "President DONALD J. TRUMP" sign-off. Only the pronoun ("SHE") and the office change. Two South Carolina endorsements on the same day point to a batch of down-ballot posts going out together, which a campaign or political office would schedule.

**Name check.** "Darline Graham" looks at first like a garbled "Lindsey Graham." It is not. NPR and affiliate coverage from late August 2026 names Darline Graham as the South Carolina senator who replaced her late brother. She won a Republican primary runoff after Trump endorsed her and held a Myrtle Beach-area rally for her, and she now faces Annie Andrews in November. The name is correct, so the post contains no name-confusion marker. Any cognitive reading should start from that.

**Timing and voice.** The post went up at 16:58 UTC, 12:58 PM Eastern. The previous post, "Heading to Kentucky! Will be landing soon," places him on Air Force One heading to a Kentucky rally, so this is midday on a travel day. That previous post has a personal voice ("I'm watching it now on RSBN. The coverage is spectacular. In fact, it's so good, that I don't want to leave Air Force One"). It drifts from the travel update into pleasure at his own coverage and then into a candidate plug. The Graham post has none of that: there is no aside, no self-reference beyond the formula, and no error. "Complete and Total Endorsement" is a capitalized phrase that has been repeated hundreds of times, and its consistency points to a stored template, not fresh composition. Both posts carry the same sign-off, so the signature does not separate authors. The structure does.

**Motive.** The post does party-building work. It tells South Carolina voters which candidate the leader backs. The agency on display belongs to the endorser: his endorsement is presented as the thing that counts, which fits his August claim that his backing carried her through as an "underdog." The communion element is the pledge "SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!", which promises reliability on the voter's behalf. In practice the template measures candidates by loyalty, since "never let you down" is the same assurance attached to every endorsee. No opponent, grievance or enemy appears. That leaves nothing for projection, splitting or rage to work on, and the post gives no basis for a defense-mechanism reading.

**Rhetoric.** The devices are slogan repetition and the all-caps pledge, a stock emphasis marker in this account's endorsements, not a sign of agitation. "Re-Election" is used loosely: she was appointed to the seat and has not yet won a Senate general election. That wording carries over from the template, where nearly every endorsee is an elected incumbent. It is not a meaningful factual distortion.

**Media.** An attached video (.mp4) was not described or transcribed in the material provided. It may be campaign footage or a rally clip. The analysis covers the text only.

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Trump posts, without a word, a DOJ letter threatening Los Angeles County officials with prosecution over 20,000 ballots**

Around his Georgia rally on Friday night, Trump posted a Justice Department letter with no comment of his own. It warned Los Angeles County officials they could be prosecuted if they count ballots from more than 20,000 people the department suspects are noncitizens. After midnight he shared a supporter's list of what he has done for Black Americans and added "Best in History!" On Saturday's flight to a Kentucky rally he said the TV coverage of his waiting crowd was so good he didn't want to get off the plane, then put out five endorsements in ten minutes. The hastily assembled batch called Lindsey Graham "Darline" and Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed "Mohammed," and videos attached to two of them went further than the text: one claimed an Iowa Democrat who is a Lutheran pastor doesn't believe in God, and another hinted at an unnamed scandal involving a Texas Democrat.
