> 250th anniversary, you've heard a lot about this, of our founding in Philadelphia, the Continental Congress. The second Continental Congress met, and they came up with a declaration, the Declaration of Independence. What is this all about? You know, we celebrate it. What is it all about? Let me ask you a question. If our country was about to be defeated by a communist regime, would you be concerned about that? I would. I think we all would. We have an entire military build-up to try and ensure that that doesn't happen. Would you be concerned if some Islamist regime, either the Iranian regime or some other regime, was seeking to destroy us both directly with nuclear missiles and infiltrate our country with terrorists and so forth? Of course you would be concerned. I would be concerned. What if I told you that is exactly what's happening right now in the United States? The enemy within, these Marxist communists and these Islamists. What if I were to tell you in our 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, they believe they're on the precipice of a grand victory, where they intend to take over the House of Representatives, which they hate, and the United States Senate, which they want to abolish, and to control the Supreme Court, which they want to pack and destroy its independence and create a Democrat Party Politburo, and change the election procedures, get rid of the electoral college in only 12 to 14 blue states and really blue metropolitan areas, are heard when it comes to national elections, three fourths of the states, and many of you, you may vote, but it won't matter? What if I were to tell you that they want to deconstruct the Constitution in order to ram through their agenda? They want to eliminate the filibuster in the Senate, which kind of destroys the whole purpose of the Senate, doesn't it? And turn it into one big majority rule, single vote, a single election, where they can change the nation forever and destroy our constitutional republic. Do you realize that's what's on the ballot? Do you realize that is what's on the ballot in November? Now, let me be very clear about something. If you read these Washington DC pundits and operators and listen to some of the podcasts, they will tell you about the incompetence of the Republican Party. They will tell you about the incompetence of the messaging and so forth and so on. I'm not here to discuss that. I'm here to discuss us, we, the people, you, Mr. and Mrs. America. This constitutional system was set up to represent you and me. It's the consent of the government. It's right there in the Declaration of Independence as well. That's why we had a revolution, among other reasons. And so I want to talk about this with you. Part of the problem we have is that Marxism comes down to a skinny little book like this, even though Marx wrote many things with Engels and so forth, it comes down to the Little Communist Manifesto, which was written by Marx and Engels in plain English, plain German, plain Italian and every other language they can think of to promote what? A civilizational revolution. Not a nation state revolution, a global revolution. Just like this guy, the Ayatollah Khomeini. They're not interested in Iran only. This is a civilizational revolution. They want to conquer the entire world. They want to conquer the entire world. And they're busy conquering many, many areas of the world, especially Europe right now. But Europe is not the United States of America. Do we know why Europe is not the United States of America? Because of how this nation was established and the basis for its founding. You know what the basis for the nation's founding is? We talk about the Judeo-Christian belief system. That's this. The Holy Scripture. It's true. In fact, every one of the prominent founders, every single one of them who was in that Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, they spoke about what? The Hebrew Bible. What's the Hebrew Bible? For Christians, that would be the Old Testament. For Jews, that would be the Torah. The Hebrew Bible. Madison spent a year at what is now Princeton studying, even memorizing, the Hebrew Bible. Adams, John Adams, references the Hebrew Bible over and over and over again. Jefferson the same. Washington the same. Why did they do that? Why did they do that? If you read the New Testament, there is constant references to the Old Testament. There's constant references to what we call today Israel and the Holy Land. There's constant references, of course, to Jesus, who was Jewish. The apostles, who were Jewish. The prophets, who were Jewish. The Christian majority, and let me be clear, at America's founding, the Christian majority was the overwhelming, overwhelming faith, overwhelming faith of the colonists and the founders. But for the Christian majority, and but for those Christian founders who were in Philadelphia at the Second Continental Congress, who were in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention, what we talk about, the Judeo-Christian values and belief systems would never have been established as the basis for the founding of the United States of America. And there was one other element, the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment. Now, how do we know that the Enlightenment played such a big part as well? No other than Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Henry Lee in 1825, now they're aiming at originality of principles, he's talking about the Declaration, or a sentiment, nor yet copied from any particular and previous writing. It was intended, the Declaration, to be an expression of the American mind, and to give to that expression the proper tone and spirit called for by the occasion. All its authority rests then on the harmonizing sentiments of the day, whether expressed in conversation, in letters, printed essays, or in the elementary books of public right, as Aristotle, Cicero, Locke, Sidney, etc. Locke, second treatise on government, Montesquieu, the spirit of laws, he was the most important of the Enlightenment philosophers during the Constitutional period, Cicero, who'd been a senator in Rome, and he was killed for his thoughts, daring to challenge the emperor. We have Sidney, every year of him, this book, Discourses, it was only published after he was hanged by the king, who knew he was writing such a book, Aristotle, the complete works of Aristotle, right here. I know, most people don't do what I do, I'm kind of a nerd about this stuff, and that's part of the problem. That's part of the problem, we're up against this, the communist manifesto, with a few phrases, you know, a few slogans, health care for all, workers' paradise, equality, on and on and on, tyranny, totalitarianism, that's what this is all about, that's what Khomeini and Islamism is all about, this, this, from the Hebrew Bible, from the Bible period, from these great thinkers of the Enlightenment, from these great men even before the Enlightenment, talking about liberty and individualism, representative government and private property rights, that's what America is founded on, that's what America is all about. So if you believe in cultural communism, and the Democrat Party now believes in that, if you believe in economic socialism, and the Democrat Party now believes in that, if you believe in deconstructing our constitutional system, where power takes power, where power is diversified, so the mob can't take control, and a dictator or an oligopoly of sorts can't take control, that's the Democrat Party that seeks to deconstruct it, all the genius, all the history, all the wars, all that went before this election in November, to create this tremendous society, this tremendous culture, that's right, all of it is at stake right now, over the price of a gallon of gasoline, over the price of a gallon of diesel fuel, it's just a dollar too much, people are saying, and government is not responding to me the way I want it to respond, it's not giving me what I want and what I demand, and jealousies are created, successful people, the more successful, the more they're supposed to be hated, Marx. The more wealth we create, apparently it's never enough, it's incredible that this fantastic society, this fantastic culture, this fantastic representative republic, humanity has never seen anything like it, nothing as humane as this country has ever existed, anywhere since the beginning of mankind, one election, this November, can change the course of human history, I am not overstating it, I started the program by saying, what if we were threatened or attacked by a communist regime, we'd all say, no no, we've got to do something about this, or in an Islamist country, no no no, we have to do something about this, what if the enemy is within, what do we, the people do about this, well we only have one, one recourse to vote, the consent of the government, let me ask you something, all you out there, does mandami represent your views, does el-sayed represent your views, do these islamist imams who talk about overthrowing our country and destroying our face and forcing us to adhere to their faith, do they represent your views, do they, tell me does bernie sanders a communist, does he represent your views, do these people who talk about deconstructing the constitution attacking capitalism, do they represent your views, it's a government by the consent of the government, if we don't vote in bigger numbers than those who support communism and islamism than those who seek to deconstruct our constitution, than those who seek to destroy our market commerce capitalist system and replace it with a socialist top-down redistributive system, then they win, and the thing about them is, they don't need multiple elections to institute what they want to institute, just one, just one, we've seen it all over the world, you see to understand the democrat party, you need to understand it's always been a party about power, never a party about liberty, never a party about representative government, never a party about americanism, can you imagine a political party that stood for slavery for decades, that was the party of the confederacy, can you imagine a political party of the democrat party that supported segregation and separate but equal, for more than half a century after the civil war, can you imagine a political party that supported the clan and lynchings, oh yes, lynchings of black people, in 1940 the so-called great franklin roosevelt received a bill from congress to outlaw nationwide lynching and he wouldn't sign it, the greatest democrat president ever right, because he was afraid he would lose votes in one or two southern states, he wouldn't sign it, even though it was a bipartisan bill, can you imagine that, can you imagine a political party, the democrat party that supported eugenics for blacks, Woodrow Wilson, can you imagine a political party, a democrat party that supported poll taxes, literacy tests, jim crow as they called it, it's funny the modern democrats cite it all the time, they're citing the people whose shoulders they stand on and today the democrat party, true to form, supports the most hideous, diabolical, destructive ideology of the hall, communism, and one of the most hideous, vile, diabolical belief systems at all, this radical islamism, backs candidates, wants them to win, because the democrat party, like communist parties all over the world, the party comes first, chairman Xi has been here, he's chairman of what, is he chairman of communist, he's chairman of the communist party of china, the party rules, the party is in charge, so everything that this nation was founded on, the bible, Judeo-Christian belief systems, the enlightenment, the wars that have been fought, the flag that is carried, the national holidays that we celebrate, the 250th anniversary of the founding of our great country, is all at stake in this election, because of the radicalism, the insanity, the vile poison that has become the democrat party, the party of Hamas, the party of care, the party of the democratic socialists of America, communists, the party that wants to deconstruct our judicial system in the supreme court, the party that wants to deconstruct our voting system so they never lose, the party that wants the borders wide open, to replace the citizenry in the amakas, the replacement theory, it's not a theory, it's a reality, so they can gerrymander to their heart's desire and make sure they control the house of representatives, the house, the senate, the supreme court, all at stake, separation of powers, the key, the core to our constitution, that's this election, the founders told us and the framers argued repeatedly about this one word, you know what this word is, you know what this word is, virtue, every single one of them said, if the people lose their virtue, if public virtue is lost, the nation will not survive, because our entire construct is based on the virtue of the people, representative government, the consent of the people, voting of the people, it's the people, if they lose their virtue, it doesn't matter what the constitution says, it doesn't matter what all these men wrote and died for, it won't even matter what's in the holy bible, if the people lose their virtue, the people will lose their country, they will lose their society, and I would tell you this, there's another word that goes along with virtue, will, do we have the will to survive, we have men and women as I said who go off the water to protect this society, all we have to do is vote, all we have to do is out vote the enemy, the enemy within, do we have the will, Mr. and Mrs. America, to save our country from permanent destruction, this November, this is not hyperbole, you've heard what they've said, it almost doesn't matter what the republicans have to say, we're in charge, we're the sovereign, this is our country, this is the country we want for our children and grandchildren, are we prepared to vote, because that's all it's going to take in numbers like never before, in a midterm election, to preserve what was created 250 years ago, to the benefit of us and our children and grandchildren, the greatest, most humane, the most prosperous, the most diverse and free country ever established by human beings, are we, do we still have virtue and do we have the will, that's the question and we'll know the answer.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-10-01T01:56:27.882Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

Trump posted, without comment, a cable-studio monologue (most likely Mark Levin's) that recasts the November midterms as a defense against foreign enemies. The speaker first invokes "a communist regime" and an Iranian regime "with nuclear missiles," then says "that is exactly what's happening right now in the United States. The enemy within, these Marxist communists and these Islamists," attaching those stakes to Democratic goals such as Court expansion and ending the filibuster. "The enemy within" is Trump's own 2024 phrase, so the post brings his frame back in a borrowed voice. The clip also shields his side in advance: it brushes off talk of "the incompetence of the Republican Party" with "I'm not here to discuss that," which fits a preemptive rationalization in a week of record-low approval. The fused enemy (Marx, Khomeini and the Democratic Party as one "civilizational revolution") is splitting at full strength. Its charges against opponents ("deconstruct the Constitution," "change the election procedures") mirror critiques of his own administration, which fits projection by proxy. The concern is that the opposition party is equated with regimes the military is "built up" against, during an active Iran standoff. The call to action, though, stays at the ballot box.

## A cable-studio monologue, posted bare on deadline night

The clip is a studio monologue, most likely Mark Levin's. The speaker holds up props ("a skinny little book like this," "The Holy Scripture. It's true... That's this"), addresses "Mr. and Mrs. America," and climbs a ladder of rhetorical questions, all habits of Levin's show. That identification comes from style alone, since the transcript never names the speaker. Trump does not speak in the clip and the post adds no words. What he did was put a long argument in front of his followers at 9:43 p.m. Eastern on September 30, the night of the government funding deadline and five weeks before the midterms.

## The clip moves foreign enemies onto a domestic party

The monologue opens with two threats the audience will readily accept, "a communist regime" and "the Iranian regime... with nuclear missiles," and then hands that threat to a domestic party: "What if I told you that is exactly what's happening right now in the United States? The enemy within, these Marxist communists and these Islamists." The list that follows is made of Democratic institutional goals: winning the House and Senate, packing the Court, ending the filibuster and the Electoral College. The structure is a bridge from a war frame to an election frame, so that a November vote takes on the stakes of national defeat: "Do you realize that is what's on the ballot in November?"

Some items have a real basis. Democratic proposals to end the filibuster and enlarge the Court have circulated, and the National Popular Vote compact exists. Others do not. No Democratic leadership position calls for abolishing the Senate, and "Democrat Party Politburo" is invective. The speaker makes these claims, so they are discussed here and left out of the fact checks.

"The enemy within" is Trump's own phrase from the 2024 campaign, when he applied it to the "radical left" and floated using the military against it. By publishing a clip that reuses it, he gets his frame back in a second voice that carries a constitutional lawyer's authority.

## The passage that excuses his own side

One passage does specific work for the poster: "they will tell you about the incompetence of the Republican Party. They will tell you about the incompetence of the messaging... I'm not here to discuss that." The week's events include record-low approval polling, and the midterm outlook is poor. The clip moves the stakes from the party's performance to civilizational survival. That is rationalization carried out by proxy: the explanation for likely losses is moved off his side before the losses arrive. The trigger reads as preemptive. The post points to no single injury, although the week supplied several: the court order restoring CNN, MS NOW and Politico access, the SNL segment, and the boos at Medinah.

## One fused enemy, and accusations that mirror critiques of him

The clip's world holds two populations. One is "we, the people, you, Mr. and Mrs. America." The other is an enemy that fuses Marx, Engels, "the Ayatollah Khomeini" and the Democratic Party into a single "civilizational revolution" that wants "to conquer the entire world." Opponents with unrelated aims merge into one bad object, which is splitting in its fullest form. The charges aimed at that object, "deconstruct the Constitution," "destroy its independence," "change the election procedures," are ones critics have made of his own administration. That fits projection voiced through someone else. The projection reading rests only on the match in content, and the post offers nothing that confirms or refutes it.

Archetypally, the clip casts its audience as Founders-in-waiting at the 250th anniversary. It tells a restoration story in which the Declaration and "the Hebrew Bible" stand for order and the opposition stands for chaos. Europe is offered as the cautionary case ("they're busy conquering... especially Europe right now"), which feeds the fear appeal.

## Where the danger comes from

The clip names a domestic target and equates it with regimes the US military is arrayed against: "We have an entire military build-up to try and ensure that that doesn't happen." It then labels that target "the enemy within." Two parts of the stochastic pattern, target and grievance, are present. The third is missing, because the call to act stays electoral throughout ("what's on the ballot"). Nothing urges force. The concern is the category. A sitting president is circulating the claim that the opposition party is a fifth column aligned with Iran and communism during an active naval standoff with Iran over Hormuz. What keeps this short of a call to violence is that the only mobilizing ask is to vote.

## Who pressed post

The day's other posts place him on the East Coast (New York for the Lee Jae Myung meeting, otherwise Washington), so 01:43 UTC is 9:43 p.m. Eastern. That is outside staff hours. Several other text-free media posts sit around it on September 30 and October 1, the shape of his evening repost runs. The Korea investment post from the same day reads as staff copy, which is a reminder that the account mixes hands. With no written text, the only question is who chose the clip, and the evening timing and repost pattern lean toward him.

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**He pushes a 'maybe you blow them up' Iran clip at night, then says he ended the Iran threat 'in one night'**

He posted in two long stretches. The first was a late-evening run that included a rapid dump of week-old flattering headlines. The second was a daytime run that ended with him on the road to an Oklahoma event after bad weather grounded his aircraft. Iran was the story that didn't hold together: at night he pushed a clip musing that "maybe you blow them up," and the next afternoon he said he had ended Iran's nuclear threat "in one night." With the midterms a month off, much of the day went to polls and blame, waving off bad polls while touting good ones and pinning prices on the "Dumocrats." The sharpest moment came last, a revenge video casting him as a lion and New York's attorney general as a jackal, followed minutes later by a cheerful note that he was driving to Oklahoma rather than cancel.
