## What the media says

**Video transcript** (5:17), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> Oh boy, it's a climate week clash as world leaders gather in New York to celebrate their sustainability accomplishments. Climate activists crash an AI event accusing tech companies of fueling climate change watch. All right, joining me now is Mark Morano from climate depot dot com. We love that site executive editor there. And he was featured as a speaker during climate week. Okay. So let me get this straight. Yeah. You were the speaker at the climate conference. Yes. My organization, Steve act, we actually signed me up to be a speaker and the group allowed it. Then about three weeks later they realized, wait a minute, this guy doesn't fit in here and they didn't cancel me. They actually said we're committed to free speech. So I was able to speak at a panel and I mentioned explicitly that they have to stop. It was about instilling climate action into the youth. I said, you need to stop scaring kids. I use their words. We need diversity, tolerance. We need dissent. We need to allow professors to dissent on this. I talked to him about offshore wind whales. I talked to him about how EVs aren't green. We went to, I went to the entire thing and amazingly the audience agreed. It's hard to think back, you know, so many years ago when literally any professor who opposed the idea of climate change was, you know, basically thrown out of the profession. I mean, it was, we really, there really was a tyranny around this ideology. So explain to me this clash now, because you have Bill Gates in a fight with Al Gore. Bill Gates, who was a big climate guy and now he's not because of AI. Yeah. Well, these students are seeing protests. They know instinctively that AI is killing the climate hoax. Bill Gates came out right before the last UN climate summit and said, climate is not a catastrophe. We need human flourishing. This made heads explode. Al Gore shows up at a UN climate summit attacking Bill Gates as being wrong, as being bullied by Donald Trump. And these activists know that Larry Fink, ground zero for the whole financial scam of climate change from BlackRock, has publicly announced that AI cannot be powered by solar and wind. You need dispatchable power like fossil fuels, coal, oil, gas, nuclear. And so. That's so interesting because Larry Fink was pushing all the climate stuff. All of it. But now that it interferes with AI now. Okay. So that's very revealing. So the students are correct that their agenda's being ripped out by their fellow activists. You know, they're right. So AI just means that it's doomed for them. Yeah. In a lot of ways. Okay. So let's talk about affordability because it's interesting. They're at the climate conference. They see this vulnerability of affordability. They think it will hurt the right. So they're, they're like fighting for affordability. But how do you get affordability if you're not for fossil fuels? Because you need cheap fossil fuels if you want prices to come down. Well, they get it very simply through a fantasy engineering. They say solar and wind are coming on. All we have to do is basically ban fossil fuels and solar and wind will just take over because of this magical like how Al Gore always says like, yeah, there'll be an explosion of technology. Same thing they did with cars. They wanted to ban the gas powered car and they thought EVs would just overtake. EVs never got higher than 7%. And even the Toyota CEO said, I think we're about at max, you know, max. So what we're seeing is the implosion of the whole, as you said, climate hoax. How much of this has to do with president Trump? I don't think he gets enough credit for having destroyed this movement. We have to say this in the last 50 years, this was FDR Ronald Reagan style action. Just look at what Donald Trump did on the climate event over 300 actions as president to unleash American energy. And here's the key thing that Donald Trump did. Permanence. He's pulling us out of the 1992 Rio earth summit treaty that George H. W. Bush got us into. That's unprecedented. We're officially out in February, makes it much harder for a future president AOC and or Gavin Newsom to get us back in. And he's also ending this endangerment finding, which is, which is essentially regulating carbon dioxide. We inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide as humans. That exhale is regulated as a pollutant under the clean air act. And even though the clean air act never mentioned it, so he's trying to get unelected bureaucrats to no longer have the power to regulate all aspects of our economy from meat eating to gas stoves, etc. So, so he's doing a level of permanence that even Trump 1.0 didn't go after. Oh, yeah. I don't think he gets enough credit for what he's done in that space. I'm really glad you're bringing that up. And I think it's an important topic for people to consider as we move into this midterm election. He is absolutely transformational and it was a tyranny. It's, it's hard to think back on how things were. Mark, you've always been on the forefront of this and we thank you for, for, for doing the, the good work of going into the climate conference and facing those people. Thank you so much for joining. Thank you, Rachel. You got it.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-09-26T12:49:43.952Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

An eight-word caption — "A MUST SEE ON THE CLIMATE HOAX. President DJT" — fronts a twelve-minute interview whose closing minutes credit him with having "destroyed this movement," rank his energy actions as "FDR Ronald Reagan style," and praise their "Permanence." He asserts none of that himself. Publishing it puts historical-legacy praise before his audience while leaving no grandiose sentence in his own hand, a validation route that stays deniable.

His one contribution is the label. "THE CLIMATE HOAX," capitalized and definite, treats the temperature record as a known fraud and converts an empirical question into an accusation of bad faith; the clip then names the alleged perpetrators, including "the whole financial scam of climate change from BlackRock." Agreement is offered as a membership condition rather than argued, which is the epistemic-closure pattern rather than a factual dispute. Splitting is visible in the amplified material: dispatchable fuel against "fantasy engineering," dissent against "a tyranny around this ideology."

The narrative shape is vindication. Insiders are shown abandoning their own project — Gates "was a big climate guy and now he's not" — with him named as the pressure that did it, so past accusations of denialism resolve into having been right first.

Posted at 8:15 a.m. Eastern in his morning-television window, with his own signature and verbless caps, the post is his. No named individual is attacked in his words, and nothing implies action against anyone.

## Eight words of his own, twelve minutes of someone else's

The caption is a fragment with no verb — "A MUST SEE ON THE CLIMATE HOAX" — followed by the signature "President DJT." What he wrote establishes two things: a directive to watch, and the title he wants attached to the directive. Everything argumentative in the post is spoken by other people.

The segment is a business-news interview with Marc Morano of Climate Depot, hung on Climate Week in New York. Its last movement is the reason to publish it. The host asks, "How much of this has to do with president Trump?" and the guest answers: "I don't think he gets enough credit for having destroyed this movement... this was FDR Ronald Reagan style action... over 300 actions as president to unleash American energy. And here's the key thing that Donald Trump did. Permanence." A caption that says only "MUST SEE" puts that assessment — destroyer of a movement, ranked with two presidents, author of something permanent — in front of the audience without him having to assert it himself. The praise arrives pre-laundered through a third party, which is the form of validation-seeking that leaves no grandiose sentence in his own handwriting.

## "Hoax" doing work that "wrong" would not

He does not write that climate policy is costly or that the movement overreached. He writes "THE CLIMATE HOAX" — capitalized, definite article, treated as a settled name for a known thing. A hoax requires perpetrators and dupes, so the label carries an accusation of bad faith and converts a scientific question into a question of who is lying. The clip supplies the perpetrators the label implies: "Larry Fink, ground zero for the whole financial scam of climate change from BlackRock," Al Gore's "magical" faith in an "explosion of technology," professors who once faced "a tyranny around this ideology."

Denial at this level is not a slip of emphasis; the distortion is structural, because accepting the caption requires rejecting the instrumental temperature record wholesale. Published four days after his UNGA remarks reprised the same theme, it reads as maintenance of a position rather than a fresh reaction, and the audience's assent to "hoax" functions as the price of in-group standing — the same epistemic sorting the clip itself performs when it says activists "know instinctively that AI is killing the climate hoax."

## The defection story

The segment's structure is a contamination narrative aimed at the other side, and that is what makes it flattering rather than merely congenial. Bill Gates "was a big climate guy and now he's not," Fink "was pushing all the climate stuff. All of it," and Gore is reduced to "attacking Bill Gates as being wrong, as being bullied by Donald Trump." The insiders are shown abandoning their own project, with him named as the pressure that did it. He is cast as the vindicated outsider whose position held while its opponents' collapsed — a setback-to-comeback arc where the comeback is other people's surrender, and where being called a denier converts retroactively into having been right first.

Splitting runs throughout: cheap dispatchable fuel against "fantasy engineering," dissenters against "tyranny," with nothing in between. The self-schema is the man who said the unsayable and outlasted the consensus; the other is a financial-ideological complex that never believed its own claims.

## Timing, signature, and what the caption can't tell us

12:15 UTC is 8:15 a.m. Eastern, and he had been in the New York–Washington corridor through UNGA week and the Xi state visit. That is his morning-television window, and the post has the shape of a reaction to a segment just watched: a shouted imperative, no context, no link text, the video doing the work. The "President DJT" sign-off and the unpunctuated all-caps fragment are his own habits, not the polished third-person framing an aide produces; the day's earlier posts include one in unmistakable first person ("Despite my big Election Win"), so the account was in his hands.

Eight words is too small a sample for anything about language production, and none of the interview's wording is his. Nothing here derogates a person by name in his own voice, and nothing identifies a target or implies action — the post asks the audience to watch and to believe, and stops there.

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**He answered a Republican congresswoman's criticism without writing a word, republishing strangers' attacks from accounts with as few as seven views.**

He posted 82 times, and most of it was not his own writing: wordless video reels of other people praising him, pasted links from a single friendly news site, and screenshots of strangers. The morning ran on one grievance, that his coverage is almost entirely negative despite his election win, and it hardened over five hours from an argument into a flat demand that the offending outlets be barred from the White House. At midday he denied a report that a Florida candidate he had endorsed was dropping him from campaign materials, named nine news organizations as "sick people," and said something had to be done about it. The afternoon was ordinary by his standards: the Tennessee-Texas game, a rollback of fuel economy rules, a promise of $5,000 to every adult if Republicans win. Then he spent the last half hour republishing anonymous attacks on a Republican congresswoman who had criticized him, several from accounts almost nobody reads, without adding a word of his own.
