## Post text

> That is why I am hereby calling on Governor Walz, Mayor Frey, and EVERY Democrat Governor and Mayor in the United States of America to formally cooperate with the Trump Administration to enforce our Nation's Laws, rather than resist and stoke the flames of Division, Chaos, and Violence: 1. Governor Walz and Mayor Frey should turn over all Criminal Illegal Aliens that are currently incarcerated in their State Prisons and Jails to Federal Authorities, along with all Illegal Criminals with an active warrant or known Criminal History, for Immediate Deportation. 2. State and Local Law Enforcement must agree to turn over all Illegal Aliens arrested by Local Police. 3. Local Police must assist Federal Law Enforcement in apprehending and detaining Illegal Aliens who are wanted for Crimes. 4. Democrat Politicians must partner with the Federal Government to protect American Citizens in the rapid removal of all Criminal Illegal Aliens in our Country. Some Democrats, in places like Memphis, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C., have done so, resulting in safer streets for ALL. In addition, I am hereby calling on the United States Congress to immediately pass Legislation to END Sanctuary Cities, which is the root cause of all of these problems. American Cities should be Safe Sanctuaries for Law Abiding American Citizens ONLY, not Illegal Alien Criminals who broke our Nation's Laws. All of these requests are rooted in COMMON SENSE, and will provide the best possible circumstances to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! The Trump Administration is standing by, and waiting for ANY Democrat to do the right thing, and work with us on these important matters of MAKING AMERICA SAFE like it is in all sections of our Country where we are, together with Local Leadership, participating and involved. DONALD J. TRUMPPRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-22T07:16:35.667Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

This aide-drafted formal statement is a strategic counter-offensive to the Minnesota general strike, where 50,000+ people marched against ICE operations. Rather than acknowledging the mass citizen protest, it reframes the conflict as one between the Trump Administration and Democratic officials, denying agency to the protest movement. The post deploys systematic dehumanizing language ("Criminal Illegal Aliens," "Illegal Alien Criminals") repeated throughout, and employs DARVO by positioning the administration—which initiated the ICE operations triggering the protests—as passively "standing by and waiting" for cooperation. The splitting defense is prominent: cooperation equals safety, resistance equals "Division, Chaos, and Violence," with no middle ground. The demand to eliminate sanctuary cities and require local police to assist federal enforcement represents a significant escalation during an active mass protest, elevating danger indicators. The call for congressional legislation to end sanctuary protections, combined with demands that local law enforcement participate in federal immigration operations, would fundamentally alter federal-local relations. The post's controlled, strategic tone—contrasting with the emotional intensity of the situation—suggests careful staff crafting designed to project authority and reasonableness while making maximalist demands. The omission of any reference to the 50,000-person protest is itself psychologically significant: acknowledging it would grant legitimacy to collective defiance.

## Psychological Analysis: Formal Policy Demand Post (2026-01-25)

### Context
This post is a structured, formal policy statement responding to the massive Minnesota general strike (50,000+ marchers) against ICE operations. It reads as an official presidential directive dressed in social media format—numbered demands, formal language, and a closing signature block.

### Authorship
This is almost certainly aide-drafted (likely Scavino or policy staff). The hallmarks are unmistakable: numbered policy points, complete grammatical sentences, formal constructions ("I am hereby calling on"), legal terminology, and polished rhetorical structure. The timestamp converts to approximately 5:35 PM ET—business hours. The closing "DONALD J. TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" signature block is characteristic of official statements drafted by staff. However, Trump likely reviewed and approved the content, and the Capitalization Pattern (Criminal Illegal Aliens, Immediate Deportation, COMMON SENSE) bears his stylistic imprint or a staffer mimicking it.

### Psychological Dynamics
The post is a **counter-offensive** to the Minnesota general strike. Rather than addressing the 50,000+ protesters directly (which would elevate them), it reframes the conflict as one between the Trump Administration and Democratic elected officials—a classic dominance move that denies agency to the protest movement itself.

The **narcissistic trigger** is clear: the Minnesota strike represents a massive, visible act of collective defiance. The response is not rage (which would suggest injury) but rather a calculated assertion of authority—suggesting this was processed through staff and strategic communication rather than raw emotional reaction.

### Defense Mechanisms
- **Projection**: Accuses Democrats of stoking "Division, Chaos, and Violence" when the administration's ICE operations triggered the protest
- **Splitting**: Binary frame—cooperate with Trump = law and order; resist = chaos and violence. No middle ground acknowledged
- **Rationalization**: Frames maximalist enforcement demands as "COMMON SENSE"

### Rhetorical Analysis
The post deploys several sophisticated propaganda techniques:
1. **False dichotomy**: Cooperation vs. "Division, Chaos, and Violence"
2. **Repetition/branding**: "Criminal Illegal Aliens" repeated 3x, "Illegal" appears 6x
3. **Social proof**: Memphis and D.C. cited as Democrats who cooperated
4. **Dehumanizing language**: Consistent use of "Illegal Alien Criminals"—the word "alien" dehumanizes, "criminal" criminalizes entire populations
5. **DARVO elements**: The administration conducting raids is positioned as the party "standing by, and waiting" for cooperation—reversing who is acting and who is reacting
6. **Appeal to law**: Frames all demands as mere law enforcement rather than policy choices

### Danger Assessment
The call to "END Sanctuary Cities" and the framing of immigrants as uniformly criminal, combined with the demand that local police assist federal enforcement, represents an **escalation** in the context of an already-tense standoff with 50,000+ protesters in the streets. The language is controlled but the policy demands, if enacted, would significantly expand enforcement operations in communities already in open resistance.

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |
|-------|---------|----------|
| "Some Democrats in Memphis, Tennessee and Washington D.C. have cooperated with federal immigration enforcement" | **Mostly True** | Several Democratic mayors have cooperated with specific federal detainer requests, though characterizing this as full cooperation overstates the extent |
| "Sanctuary cities are the root cause of all of these problems" | **Mostly False** | Sanctuary policies limit local-federal cooperation on immigration but research shows no consistent link between sanctuary policies and increased crime rates |
| "Cooperation results in 'safer streets for ALL'" | **Half True** | Research on sanctuary city crime rates is mixed; some studies show sanctuary policies do not increase crime and may improve public safety by encouraging immigrant cooperation with police |

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Minnesota Crisis Consumes the Day as Mass Protest Meets Strategic Denial**

Trump spent the bulk of his day fixated on the Minnesota general strike against ICE, posting about it five times in various forms -- from praising enforcers to outright criminalizing the state to issuing formal demands for Democratic cooperation. A long, agitated post defending his White House ballroom renovation from a preservation lawsuit stood out as the most emotionally heated moment of the day. Two brief asides about China "taking over" Canada provided the only break from an otherwise single-track agenda. The evening wrapped with a carefully crafted policy ultimatum to Democratic officials that never once acknowledged the tens of thousands of people actually in the streets.
