## What the media says

**Video transcript** (3:11), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> The fraud has marked the end of Tim Walts's political career. It should also be the end of Gavin Newsom's because the scale of what has occurred in California is unlike anywhere else. And the governor says, bring it on, well, every time we have had an investigation into fraud in California, the results have been absolutely incredible in terms of both the scale of the fraud and the negligence of Newsom in allowing it. I mentioned the $24 billion in homelessness spending where the auditor found that they lost track of the money and now there have been individuals indicted for committing fraud in connection with those homeless funds, homelessness funds. There was just another audit that came out two weeks ago that found that the number of high risk agencies that have serious risk of waste, fraud, abuse or mismanagement has doubled during Newsom's tenure that we're losing billions still in unemployment fraud and fraud related to SNAP benefits and Medi-Cal determinations and a whole host of other areas. You know, the state auditor found the $32 billion in unemployment fraud back during COVID. So every time this has been looked into, we've just found out the problem is even worse than we thought before. So Newsom better be careful what he wishes for. He certainly has done nothing to control fraud. And everywhere you look here, I think you're going to find things that absolutely shock the conscience. Yeah. And to that point, you're going to need the governor will have to it at some point, whether through him or another official, someone he delegates this to, he's going to have to hand out over potentially hours, recipients names, addresses, social security numbers, dates of births involving subsidized childcare services to prove that there are actually American citizens that are receiving these subsidies. There will have to be some sort of cooperation. How would the governor go about circumventing that? I mean, if you want, if you wanted to not cooperate? Well, I'm sure he'll Stonewall in every way he can, just like he did that with in connection with the investigation into the unemployment fraud that we've already tried to do here. But you know, the reality is that when you look at the mistakes that he's made, not only are these investigations uncovering the scale of the fraud, but just the unbelievable negligence on the part of the Newsom administration. To give you one example, with the unemployment fraud, you had a lot of criminal syndicates, you had state prisoners that were stealing money, and it was no sweat. It was easy for them. The state actually mailed checks to penitentiaries to state prisons, where the fraudsters were easily able to game the system. But the ultimate proof of the fraud we have in California and the scale of it is the fact that Gavin Newsom in the course of five years increased our state budget by $124 billion. That's a 50% increase in five years, and yet everything in California has continued to get worse. We lead the nation in unemployment, in homelessness, in poverty, in illiteracy. The risk goes on, and that's because citizens are simply getting nothing in return for those tax dollars. Don't forget U-Haul use. And U-Haul use, of course. Appreciate that. Congressman Kevin Kiley joining us today of California. Have a great weekend. Thanks, Congressman.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-09-08T20:06:41.474Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Post Overview

This is a media-only repost (no original text) of what appears to be a cable-news interview segment featuring Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) discussing alleged fraud in California's homelessness, unemployment, SNAP, and Medi-Cal programs, and criticizing Gov. Gavin Newsom's fiscal management and response to a "bring it on" challenge regarding a fraud investigation. Because the subject wrote no words and does not appear to be the speaker in the transcript, this analysis treats the **selection and amplification** of the clip — not its wording — as the behavior under study. Stylometric and typographic evidence (central to authorship attribution and cognitive-marker tracking) is unavailable for this post.

## Level 3 — Narrative Identity (inferred from selection, not authorship)
By amplifying this segment, the subject positions Gavin Newsom (and, by association with the clip's opening line, Tim Walz) as the **contrasting other** — corrupt, negligent, fiscally reckless custodians of a "failed" blue state. This fits a recurring narrative pattern in which Democratic governors/officials, particularly potential 2028 rivals, are cast as the source of institutional rot the subject positions himself against. No redemption or contamination arc is present in the subject's own voice; the framing is supplied entirely by the amplified content.

## Level 2 — Characteristic Adaptations
The choice to amplify this specific clip, on the same day as an "RT" reading "Totally RIGGED ELECTION!!! These people must be in JAIL," suggests a thematically consistent preoccupation with fraud/rigging as an explanatory frame applied across targets — used both to delegitimize a domestic political rival (Newsom) and to explain his own past electoral grievances. This is consistent with an **agency/power motive** oriented toward discrediting a possible future national-level opponent, rather than a communion-oriented post.

## Defense Mechanisms (tentative, applies to the act of selection)
- **Splitting**: implicit good/bad framing (fraud-ridden blue-state governance vs. unstated contrast to the subject's own record) — moderate confidence, since the "splitting" content originates in the clip, not the subject's words.
- **Projection** (low confidence): amplifying allegations of large-scale fraud against a rival on the same day as reasserting his own "rigged election" grievance is notable but should not be overread absent his own text.

## Rhetorical Techniques (of the amplified content)
Hyperbole ("shock the conscience"), large round-number statistics used for shock value, ad hominem framing of Newsom personally, and an implicit fear appeal about government mismanagement. These techniques belong to the interview subject/host, not the poster; their relevance here is limited to what the subject chose to circulate to his audience.

## Danger Assessment
No eliminationist language, dehumanization, or calls to mobilization. This is standard adversarial political content. **Danger level: none.**

## Authorship Attribution
No stylometric evidence exists (no original text). Location context: the subject was mid-transit to/at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (UTC+1) following an Air Force One mechanical issue and overnight departure; 16:00 UTC corresponds to roughly 5:00 PM local Davos time, or late morning U.S. Eastern time — both within typical business hours rather than the late-night/early-morning window associated with higher-confidence authentic personal posting. The post is also structurally consistent with the day's other bare retweets (no caption, link-only formats), suggesting a staff-driven content queue during a travel-heavy news cycle (one-year anniversary briefing, Davos departure). This evidence bears only on who selected and queued the clip, not on who "wrote" it, since there is no written content to attribute.

## Longitudinal Note
Comparison with baseline posting patterns on travel days would strengthen confidence in the aide-queued hypothesis; the same-day cluster of bare reposts and no-text posts is suggestive but not conclusive without broader pattern data.

## Authorship Analysis

**Aide-Written** (score: 30%)

### Indicators

- No written text to provide stylometric evidence; attribution rests solely on timing and posting pattern
- Posted during business hours in both plausible timezones (Davos ~5pm local, or US Eastern late morning) rather than the late-night/early-morning window associated with higher-confidence authentic posting
- Part of a cluster of same-day bare media/link reposts with no original commentary, consistent with a staff-run content queue during a high-tempo travel day (Davos departure, anniversary briefing)
- This score reflects who likely selected/queued the clip, not who wrote it — there is no written content to attribute

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Anniversary day curdles: a victory lap spent relitigating 2020, with a 1:30 AM rage spike and a NATO-savior boast posted amid tariffs on NATO**

On the one-year anniversary of his second inauguration — a day the White House had staged as a victory lap, complete with a proclamation, a "365 Wins" document, and a 104-minute press briefing — Trump spent his 40 posts mostly relitigating old grievances instead of celebrating. He was up past midnight posting about Greenland and NATO before hitting the day's angriest moment around 1:30 AM, calling Minnesota protesters trained insurrectionists and demanding jail or deportation for them. After a normal night's sleep he returned late morning with a rapid-fire hour of roughly two dozen posts, nearly all of them recycled videos about 2020 election fraud, immigration, and Minnesota, several carrying dehumanizing language from other speakers that he simply passed along. The strangest four minutes of the day came at midday: he blamed Biden for America's crime problem, then declared that NATO would not exist without him — on the same day his tariff threats had eight NATO allies in an uproar. When his plane suffered an electrical failure and had to turn back, he said nothing about it at all.
