## Post text

> Looks like Senator Thom Tillis, as usual, wants to tell the Nation that he’s giving them a 68% Tax Increase, as opposed to the Biggest Tax Cut in American History! At the same time, he is unable to understand the importance of a Debt Extension, which Republicans gave to the Democrats just prior to the November 5th Election, because of its significance, and how important it was for the future of the U.S.A. Sadly, the Democrat Politicians probably won’t reciprocate on a Debt Extension because they’re nasty people who actually hate our Country. Tillis is also willing to throw the very important Tobacco Industry in North Carolina, “out the window,” for reasons nobody seems to understand. He loves China made windmills that will cost a fortune, ruin the landscape, and produce the most expensive Energy on Earth. I can’t believe that the Great People of North Carolina, a State that I love and won all three times, and a State that I just brought back with money, blood, sweat, and tears, from the recent tragic floods, when Sleepy Joe Biden let them DROWN, right up until the end of that Administration, without doing anything — I was given an A+ Rating for the job we did in bringing it back, and Tillis, despite being a Republican, was MISSING IN ACTION — North Carolina will not allow one of their Senators to GRANDSTAND in order to get some publicity for himself, for a possible, but very difficult Re-Election. America wants Reduced Taxes, including NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, AND NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY, Interest Deductions on Cars, Border Security, a Strong Military, and a Bill which is GREAT for our Farmers, Manufacturers and, Employment, in general. Thom Tillis is making a BIG MISTAKE for America, and the Wonderful People of North Carolina!

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-22T02:24:22.315Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

This late-night attack on Republican Senator Thom Tillis is a textbook example of Trump's loyalty enforcement mechanism. Triggered by Tillis's opposition to the "Big Beautiful Bill," Trump deploys total rhetorical war against an in-group defector—a pattern more intense than attacks on out-group opponents, consistent with narcissistic rage at perceived betrayal.

The post's most psychologically revealing feature is its structure: a mid-sentence, ~80-word digression from the Tillis attack into self-praise about Hurricane Helene relief, complete with self-assigned "A+ Rating" and contrast with Biden who "let them DROWN." This compulsive supply-seeking—hijacking one's own argument for self-aggrandizement—demonstrates how narcissistic needs override even strategic communication goals.

The splitting defense is comprehensive: Tillis is wrong on every issue (taxes, debt, tobacco, windmills, re-election); Democrats "hate our Country"; Biden was negligent; Trump was heroic. No nuance survives.

Multiple factual distortions serve the narrative: the "Biggest Tax Cut in American History" (false), "68% Tax Increase" (misleading framing), wind energy as "most expensive on Earth" (false), and Biden's hurricane response as letting people "DROWN" (hyperbolic distortion).

The danger level is elevated not for violence but for democratic norms: a sitting president publicly threatening a senator's re-election prospects to enforce legislative compliance represents authoritarian pressure on independent legislative function.

# Psychological Analysis: Anti-Tillis Attack Post (2025-06-29)

## Overview
This post is a sustained attack on Republican Senator Thom Tillis for opposing Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" tax and budget legislation. It exemplifies Trump's characteristic approach to intra-party dissent: total war combined with self-aggrandizement.

## Authorship
Strongly authentic. The ~9:48 PM ET timing, massive run-on sentence structure, emotional reactivity, and stream-of-consciousness tangents are hallmark Trump. No aide would produce this chaotic structure.

## Personality Analysis

### Level 1 (Traits)
- **Agreeableness**: Extremely low—combative, zero accommodation of dissent
- **Neuroticism**: Elevated angry hostility
- **Extraversion**: High assertiveness and dominance-seeking

### Level 2 (Motives)
Pure power and dominance motive. The post is designed to punish disloyalty and enforce conformity. The Hurricane Helene digression reveals compulsive supply-seeking—even mid-attack, self-praise takes priority.

### Level 3 (Narrative Identity)
- **Protagonist role**: Savior of North Carolina ("money, blood, sweat, and tears")
- **Contrasting other**: Tillis (disloyal), Biden (incompetent), Democrats (hateful)
- **Contamination sequence**: Trump saved NC, but Tillis is now betraying it

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |
|-------|---------|----------|
| "Biggest Tax Cut in American History" | **False** | The 2017 TCJA ranked approximately 8th in size as percentage of GDP. Reagan's 1981 ERTA and several others were larger. |
| "Won North Carolina all three times" | **True** | Trump won NC in 2016 (49.8%), 2020 (49.9%), and 2024. |
| "Biden let them DROWN" | **Mostly False** | Federal disaster response to Hurricane Helene was criticized as slow but FEMA did deploy resources. 'Let them drown' is extreme hyperbole. |
| "Windmills produce the most expensive Energy on Earth" | **False** | Onshore wind is among the cheapest sources of new electricity generation globally per LCOE analyses. |

Overall Veracity: 30%

## Danger Assessment
Low-moderate. The post functions as political intimidation but lacks eliminationist language or calls to action beyond voting.

## Receipts (1)

### moderate — other (3 months later)

> "Won North Carolina all three times"

**vs.**

> "Won North Carolina 'all six times, including Primaries'"

The candidate claim states 'Won North Carolina all three times,' referring to three general election wins (2016, 2020, 2024). The source claim explicitly states 'all six times, including Primaries,' making the count of victories a central factual assertion. Claiming three wins in one post and six wins (by adding primaries) in another is a direct numerical inconsistency about the same topic. While both can describe the same underlying events from different counting conventions, the posts present mutually incompatible totals as standalone facts, which a reasonable reader would find contradictory.

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Senate Victory Lap Punctuated by Targeted Destruction of Republican Dissenters**

The day was dominated by the Senate advancing Trump's signature "Big Beautiful Bill," triggering an extended victory lap that spanned nearly every post. But the celebration was interrupted repeatedly by targeted attacks on Republican senators who voted against it — particularly Thom Tillis, who was attacked four separate times before announcing he wouldn't seek re-election. The mood was overwhelmingly triumphant and self-congratulatory, with bursts of sharp anger directed exclusively at members of his own party. Late-night posting through 1 AM gave way to an afternoon blitz of shared senator quotes and interview clips, capping off what he called a "Record Week of Wins."
