## What the media says

**Video transcript** (2:11), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> Well it goes without saying that leaking that type of information, whatever the information, whatever side it comes out on, is outrageous. It's treasonous. So it ought to be investigated and whoever did it, whoever's responsible for it should be held accountable. It could hurt lives in the future. This leaking is a completely unacceptable thing. But let me give you, because I've read all the damage assessment reports from not just our government, but from other governments, and I'm not going to get into anything that's top secret. But let me tell you for sure what happened here. There were three distinct facilities in Iran that we were concerned with, Isfahan, which is a conversion facility. You cannot weaponize unless you have what's called the conversion process at the beginning of enrichment, and then a conversion process to metallicize the material at the end of enrichment. That conversion facility, which as far as we know is the only facility in Iran that can do this, was completely destroyed at Isfahan. It's above ground. It was hit with a 30,000 pound bunker buster, and it could not survive that hit. So they have no conversion opportunity, and that means they cannot weaponize even if they've enriched to 90 percent. Then there are two other nuclear reactors in the Tans. One above ground and one below ground. The below ground one we know we eviscerated, and the above ground one, which had been hit by the Israelis and had been substantially damaged, we put another bomb on top of it just to make sure that it was eviscerated, and we know for a fact it was. Fordo was the last enrichment reactor that was operating there, and we put 12 bunker buster bombs on Fordo. There's no doubt that it breached the canopy. There's no doubt that it was well within reach of the depth that these bunker buster bombs go to, and there's no doubt that it was obliterated. So the reporting out there that in some ways suggests that we did not achieve the objective is just completely preposterous.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-22T02:18:19.272Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Analysis: Witkoff Quote on Fordow Strike Success

### Post Overview
Trump shares a video of envoy Steve Witkoff asserting the Fordow bunker-buster strike "OBLITERATED" the target, dismissing contrary reporting as "preposterous." This is a proxy defense — letting a subordinate make the forceful claims rather than doing so directly.

### Authorship
Posted at 8:30 PM ET, likely at Mar-a-Lago or White House. Evening but not late-night. The post is a simple quote-and-video share with no typos or emotional embellishment — consistent with aide formatting, though Trump does share video clips himself. The lack of personal commentary or ALL CAPS editorializing (beyond quoting Witkoff's emphasis) leans aide-assisted.

### Psychological Analysis
The post functions as **narcissistic supply maintenance** and **preemptive defense** against narrative erosion. By amplifying Witkoff's combative denial of incomplete success, Trump addresses the narcissistic threat posed by reporting that questions the "spectacular military success" framing. The use of a proxy is notable — it allows aggressive dismissal of critics while maintaining presidential distance.

Witkoff's language ("OBLITERATED," "completely preposterous") mirrors Trump's own rhetorical style, suggesting selection of this clip was deliberate — it says what Trump wants said, in the way he'd say it.

### Defense Mechanisms
- **Denial** via proxy: contrary reporting is "preposterous"
- **Distortion**: framing contested results as unambiguous success

### Rhetorical Techniques
The post uses appeal to authority (Witkoff as eyewitness/insider), hyperbole ("OBLITERATED"), and dismissal of contrary evidence. The quote format creates a testimonial structure.

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |
|-------|---------|----------|
| "12 bunker buster bombs were dropped on Fordow" | **Unverifiable** | Specific munitions counts from classified military operations are difficult to independently verify. The U.S. did strike Fordow with B-2 bombers. |
| "Fordow was OBLITERATED and the canopy was breached" | **Unverifiable** | Effectiveness of strikes on the deeply buried Fordow facility has been contested in reporting. The facility is built into a mountain under significant rock cover, making damage assessment complex. |

Overall Veracity: 50%

## Authorship Analysis

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Obsessive "OBLITERATION" Narrative Consumes NATO Summit Day as Rage Escalates Against Media Scrutiny**

Trump spent the day at a NATO summit in the Netherlands but was almost entirely consumed by defending his Iran strike narrative. He obsessively repeated the word "OBLITERATION" across more than a dozen posts, marshaling quotes from officials, allies, and Israeli sources to validate the strikes' success. As media skepticism from CNN and the New York Times mounted through the afternoon, his tone escalated sharply — culminating in a vicious personal attack on a CNN reporter and a call to shut down Voice of America. He closed the night by projecting his own legal grievances onto Netanyahu, demanding Israel drop corruption charges against its prime minister.
