> The U.S. Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade. Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America? Is it purely a hatred of “TRUMP?” What other reason could it be? I was new to Washington, and it was suggested that I use The Federalist Society as a recommending source on Judges. I did so, openly and freely, but then realized that they were under the thumb of a real “sleazebag” named Leonard Leo, a bad person who, in his own way, probably hates America, and obviously has his own separate ambitions. He openly brags how he controls Judges, and even Justices of the United States Supreme Court — I hope that is not so, and don’t believe it is! In any event, Leo left The Federalist Society to do his own “thing.” I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations. This is something that cannot be forgotten! With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others. They always must do what’s right for the Country! In this case, it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from other Countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get. It is the difference between having a rich, prosperous, and successful United States of America, and quite the opposite. The ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade is so wrong, and so political! Hopefully, the Supreme Court will reverse this horrible, Country threatening decision, QUICKLY and DECISIVELY. Backroom “hustlers” must not be allowed to destroy our Nation! The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs. In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around D.C. for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly. If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same! This decision is being hailed all over the World by every Country, other than the United States of America. Radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America. Under this decision, Trillions of Dollars would be lost by our Country, money that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. It would be the harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation. The President of the United States must be allowed to protect America against those that are doing it Economic and Financial harm. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-22T01:45:46.449Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

This lengthy post constitutes a clinically significant narcissistic injury response to the Court of International Trade ruling striking down IEEPA tariffs. The post cycles through multiple defense mechanisms: splitting (Leo from ally to 'sleazebag'), projection (accusing judges of being 'political' while demanding favorable rulings), denial (claiming trillions in revenue), and distortion (framing judicial review as existential threat to presidential power). Most notable is the attack on Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society — a dramatic example of devaluation of former idealized objects who failed to guarantee judicial loyalty. The narcissistic state oscillates between grandiose (sole architect of national prosperity) and vulnerable (betrayed, persecuted by radical judges). The post's framing of constitutional checks and balances as 'destroying Presidential Power' and the demand for Supreme Court intervention 'QUICKLY and DECISIVELY' reflect authoritarian tendencies consistent with malignant narcissistic features. Reality distortion is significant: tariffs have not generated 'trillions,' tariffs are paid by domestic importers not foreign countries, and judicial review is constitutionally normative. The danger level is elevated due to systematic delegitimization of judicial authority and framing of legal processes as existential threats requiring urgent action. The 'backroom hustlers must not be allowed to destroy our Nation' language, while not directly inciting, constructs enemies in terms that could motivate action by followers.

## Psychological Analysis: Post ts_114593880455063168

### Context
This post is a direct response to the Court of International Trade's unanimous ruling striking down Trump's IEEPA-based tariffs on May 28-29, 2025. The Federal Circuit subsequently stayed the ruling, giving Trump a partial reprieve — but the post reveals the depth of narcissistic injury from the initial defeat.

### Authorship Attribution
**Score: 0.8 (likely authentic)**. The post was made at 8:10 PM ET, consistent with evening posting from Mar-a-Lago or similar East Coast location. The stream-of-consciousness structure, emotional intensity, extended tangential digression into Leonard Leo grievances, and characteristic stylistic markers (scare quotes, ALL CAPS emphasis, rhetorical questions) strongly indicate authentic authorship. The formal closing ("Thank you for your attention to this matter") is slightly atypical but has appeared in Trump posts addressing legal matters.

### Narcissistic Injury and Rage Response
The court ruling constitutes a significant narcissistic injury — a direct judicial repudiation of executive authority Trump has personalized. The response is a textbook injury-rage cycle:

1. **Minimization/Denial**: Claims tariffs are generating "many Trillions of Dollars"
2. **Externalization**: Blames judges, Leo, Federalist Society, "backroom hustlers"
3. **Catastrophizing**: Ruling will "completely destroy Presidential Power"
4. **Demand for rescue**: Supreme Court must act "QUICKLY and DECISIVELY"

### The Leonard Leo Attack: Splitting in Action
The most psychologically significant element is the extended attack on Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society. This represents classic **devaluation of a formerly idealized object**. Leo was once instrumental in Trump's judicial appointments — a point of pride. Now that those judges have ruled against him, the entire relationship is recast: Leo is a "sleazebag," a "bad person" who "probably hates America." This all-or-nothing recategorization is textbook splitting.

The phrase "This is something that cannot be forgotten!" carries the implicit threat characteristic of narcissistic grudge-holding — it signals future retaliation.

### Constitutional Framing as Narcissistic Extension
Trump frames the constitutional separation of powers (Congress's tariff authority) as a personal attack on "Presidential Power." The conflation of self with institution is a hallmark of narcissistic governance — the presidency exists as an extension of the self, and any check on it is experienced as a wound to the self.

### Reality Distortion
Multiple claims are demonstrably false or grossly exaggerated:
- Tariffs have not generated "trillions" — and tariffs are paid by U.S. importers, not foreign nations
- Judicial review does not "destroy Presidential Power" — it is constitutionally normative
- The claim that "every Country" celebrates the ruling is unfalsifiable hyperbole
- "Harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation" is extreme exaggeration

### Danger Assessment: Elevated
The post systematically delegitimizes the judicial branch, frames constitutional processes as existential threats, and constructs a narrative in which unnamed "backroom hustlers" and "Radical Left Judges" are "destroying America." While not directly inciting violence, this rhetoric constructs enemy targets and articulates grievances in terms that could activate followers. The demand for immediate Supreme Court action carries the implicit subtext that the normal legal process is insufficient.

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |
|-------|---------|----------|
| "Many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the U.S.A. from tariffs" | **False** | U.S. tariff revenue in FY2025 was projected at roughly $600-800 billion in the most aggressive scenarios — far below 'many trillions.' Moreover tariffs are paid by U.S. importers, not foreign countries. |
| "The full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has stayed the order" | **Mostly True** | The Federal Circuit did grant an administrative stay of the CIT ruling, consistent with the known events provided. |
| "Leonard Leo left The Federalist Society" | **Mostly True** | Leo stepped back from day-to-day Federalist Society operations to focus on his network of dark money organizations, though the characterization is Trump's spin. |
| "The ruling stated he would have to get Congress approval for tariffs" | **Mostly True** | The CIT ruled Trump exceeded IEEPA authority; tariff power traditionally resides with Congress under the Constitution. The ruling found the emergency declaration insufficient, effectively requiring congressional authorization. |

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Courts Strike Down Tariffs; Trump Retaliates by Raising Them Higher**

Trump opened the evening with a lengthy, heated reaction to a court ruling that struck down his tariff authority, lashing out at judges, Leonard Leo, and the Federalist Society in unusually personal terms. By morning he had shifted to a confident, self-congratulatory tone, reframing the U.S.-China trade compromise as an act of personal mercy and filling the rest of the day with a steady stream of endorsements, firings, and a farewell press conference for Elon Musk. The day ended defiantly at a U.S. Steel event in Pittsburgh where he announced a doubling of steel and aluminum tariffs -- effectively asserting the very authority courts had just challenged. The overall mood was dominated by grandiosity, with the court ruling the only real crack in the armor.
