## What the media says

**Video transcript** (9:04), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> But first, thank you, America. That's the focus of tonight's angle. I'm so happy. I was so nervous a few weeks ago. A flight attendant whispered those words in my ear this morning. An hour later, another stranger -- I don't know, I was about 35 or so with a wife and a few small children -- approaches me and says, "What a great Thanksgiving this one's going to be." No. I've heard this time and again in recent weeks, and you know why. Of course, I get it. It's a self-selecting group. The Trump supporters are in a good mood. But I still think America is feeling more hopeful this holiday. People are breathing a sigh of relief. They can actually speak their minds and not worry, perhaps, about getting fired or getting penalized or getting canceled. And isn't it time to stop fighting and start having some fun? A constant state of turmoil and fury should not be our natural state. No, no, no, no. I am ashamed to call myself an American. In fact, I no longer call myself an American. Wake up! This is f***ing America and this is sad. It's so sad, really, and so hilarious, but it is mostly sad. And just think of how the anti-Trumpers invested in Judge Mershawn's sentencing of Trump in Manhattan. I want the judge to give him six months. I worked in the West Wing to be eligible to work in the West Wing. You have to qualify for a top secret security clearance. Felons can't get top secret security clearances. When you spend a year in prison in New York or under, you serve in Rikers Island. Okay? Ooh, the audience goes. I love watching these clips now. Thank God this Thanksgiving that Americans did not fall for that twisted and wishful thinking, including, by the way, young people. We should be so grateful to voters 30 and under who turned out for Trump in numbers we haven't seen since Reagan. It turns out, young people, they don't want to go through another four years of declining opportunities and high prices. Why should they? Today, they're giving Donald Trump's transition handling a staggering 65 percent approval. And, by the way, not just young people, more Hispanic and African-American voters turned out for Trump and tuned out the lies. They see MAGA more as an opportunity and not as a threat. But, bumbling Biden, he sold it so hard. Extreme movement of America, the MAGA Republicans, led by a defeated president, is trying to steal history now. And, thank God, enough Americans are over Obama as well. We do not need four years of a wannabe king, a wannabe dictator running around trying to punish his enemies. America is ready to turn the page. We are ready for a better story. Georgia, we're ready for a president, Kamala Harris. And, speaking of talents past their expiration date, I want to thank God that Oprah is going to somehow squeak by this holiday season with the paltry payday her production company made from Kamala's campaign, Poor Baby. After all, she's such a political savant. We don't get to sit this one out. If we don't show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again. And thank the good Lord for the voting public who put Donald Trump over the top and who are still happy with their choice. A new Emerson poll shows 54 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Donald Trump now. That is a record high for him. Now, the list of what we should be grateful for goes on and on. Now, remember, some of the so-called political experts warned that candidate Trump should stick to the economy and the border and stay away from the culture war issues. Well, as usual, Trump relied on his gut, and he ignored their advice. We will get critical race theory and transgender insanity the hell out of our schools. We will keep men out of women's sports. That's like a no brainer. And it turns out we can be very thankful that it looks like Trump broke woke. The largest retailer in the United States is dumping its diversity, equity and inclusion charade. Walmart is pulling back on diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Why the changes? What we're trying to do is to ensure that every customer, every associate feels welcome here to shop and to feel like they belong. And we're going to continue to make the best decisions we can that makes everyone, our customers, our associates feel like this is an environment they can shop in and thrive in. All right. That's a really long-winded way of saying we're listening to our consumers now who think woke is a joke. Trump doesn't just know how to read the room, people. He reads the country. Case in point, his announcement yesterday that he's planning significant tariffs to crack down on fentanyl and other border related issues. Thank God. Now, remember, tariffs are to free trade absolutists what sunshine is to vampires, but real people see their utility and the leverage that tariffs provide. According to that same CBS news poll, 52% of Americans support using tariffs on imported goods. Smart. Trump now has everyone's attention and suddenly I predict we're going to see even fewer migrants and less fentanyl coming across the border. More on China's blustery response later on in the show. And we'd be remiss on the angle in not being supremely grateful for Elon Musk, not only for his generous support of Trump in the final months of the campaign, and that was generous, but for his foresight in buying Twitter. I think it's a very tough call about whether or not Republicans could have won without him and X. Free speech won the day and the election and deranged never Trumpers who urged that Trump be censored and they were into pushed Musk and others like RFK and Tulsi Gabbard and Nicole Shanahan out of the Democrat party and into the Trump coalition. And of course, there would be no coalition without Trump himself, the master communicator. President Trump, I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said either. Look, Trump, the fighter, Trump, the pragmatist, Trump, the peacemaker. I will end the war in Ukraine, which would have never started if I was president. And I will stop the chaos in the Middle East. And of course, Trump, the meme generator. He makes politics fun again. And shouldn't we start taking that whole pursuit of happiness thing seriously at this point? I think sometimes as conservatives, and it's true, we're always on the lookout for the traps, the obstacles, the challenges, the potholes, the landmines. But this should be a time for hope. We have achieved amazing victories this year, victories that few predicted in January 2021, not even I. And now we have an incredible opportunity, the best in decades, to build a better world for our children and our grandchildren and expand this coalition to all 50 states. And speaking of kids, I am really thankful for my children, Maria, Dimitri, and Nico. Yeah, teenagers drive me crazy, of course, but what would life be without that kind of crazy? And I'm grateful for you, the viewers, and that's the angle.

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-21T18:37:03.121Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

# Analysis: Truth Social Post — 2024-11-27, 20:16 UTC

## Overview

An extremely low-content post consisting solely of an attributed quotation from Fox News host Laura Ingraham ("America is feeling more hopeful this holiday.") with an accompanying video attachment. The post contains no personal commentary, no stylistic markers of authentic Trump authorship, and no clinically notable content in isolation. Analysis is necessarily limited by the sparseness of material.

---

## Level 1: Dispositional Traits

With only eight words of non-authored text, direct trait inference is unreliable. The *selection* of this particular quote, however, is trait-consistent: the implicit message — that America's improved emotional state flows from Trump's electoral victory — is consistent with baseline high extraversion (desire for public emotional impact), low agreeableness (self-referential framing), and the grandiosity facet that pervades the broader corpus. No neuroticism markers are detectable.

---

## Level 2: Characteristic Adaptations

**Dominant motive: Agency / Status.** The quote functions as ambient status reinforcement — an external authority confirms the emotional dividend of Trump's return to power. This is a textbook supply-aggregation behavior: rather than claiming "I have made America hopeful," a loyal surrogate makes the claim, and Trump amplifies it. The implicit causal chain (Trump wins → America feels hopeful) is left for the audience to complete, which increases buy-in through audience participation.

**Schema revealed:** The world is responsive to Trump's presence. His return to power has measurable emotional consequences for the nation. This schema requires no argument; it is simply asserted via the quoted medium.

---

## Level 3: Narrative Identity

- **Protagonist role:** The benevolent returning savior, whose presence alone elevates national mood.
- **Narrative sequence:** Redemption — the electoral victory has transformed national affect from anxiety/despair to hope.
- **Identity claim (implicit):** "I am the source of American hope."
- **Contrasting other:** Absent in this post; no enemy is named. This is the rare all-positive pole of the usual hero/villain dyad, consistent with the post-election honeymoon phase.

---

## Level 4: Clinical Indicators

**Narcissistic dynamics:** Mild supply-seeking in grandiose phase. Post-election period represents a peak supply state — external validation is abundant and this post is a low-effort relay of that supply. No injury, no rage, no vulnerability markers.

**Defenses:** Idealization of a trusted media ally is the primary observable mechanism. The information environment is curated to include only validating voices.

**Cognitive markers:** Insufficient authored text for any meaningful linguistic analysis. N/A.

---

## Authorship Attribution

**Likely aide-authored (confidence: medium).** UTC 20:16 = ~15:16 EST at Mar-a-Lago, solidly within business hours. The post is a bare media relay with no personal voice, no typos, and no emotional markers. It fits the pattern of other same-day posts that are bare URL shares (Fox News clips, YouTube links), contrasting sharply with the clearly authentic Kellogg nomination post (same day) which features characteristic capitalization, exclamation marks, first-person assertion, and emotional investment.

---

## Rhetorical & Propaganda Techniques

The mechanics are simple and effective: surrogate validation delivers a self-congratulatory message while maintaining plausible humility. Holiday framing fuses political optimism with seasonal warmth, creating an emotional halo effect. The brevity is itself a rhetorical choice — nothing to rebut, nothing to critique, a pure positive-valence unit.

---

## Fact Verification

| Claim | Verdict | Evidence |
|-------|---------|----------|
| "America is feeling more hopeful this holiday" | **Unverifiable** | Framed as a characterization of collective national mood rather than a discrete measurable claim. Post-election November 2024 consumer confidence and sentiment indices showed modest upticks following the election result, providing partial directional support, but 'America' as a unified emotional collective is not empirically operationalizable. The statement is best understood as a normative political assertion rather than an empirical claim. |

Overall Veracity: 50%

## Danger Assessment

**None.** No threatening language, no targets, no eliminationist framing. This is a benign supply-aggregation post in a post-victory maintenance phase.

---

## Summary

*Not generated — post does not meet threshold for clinical significance. Content is too sparse for meaningful longitudinal deviation analysis.*

## Authorship Analysis

**Aide-Written** (score: 25%)

### Indicators

- UTC 20:16 converts to ~3:16 PM EST (Mar-a-Lago / Palm Beach timezone, where Trump was based as president-elect during this period)
- Business-hours post timing strongly suggests aide curation
- Zero personal commentary — purely a media relay with attached video clip
- No typos, no emotional punctuation, no stream-of-consciousness style
- Pattern matches other same-day posts that are bare URL or media shares (Fox News clips, YouTube links), suggesting a coordinated aide-managed content queue

## Psychological Profile

### State

**Grandiose State**

**Trigger:** Supply Seeking (Fox News media ally Laura Ingraham)

Sentiment: +0.82

### Clinical

**Malignant Narcissism:**
- Narcissistic: 30%
- Antisocial: 0%
- Paranoid: 0%
- Sadism: 0%

**Defense Mechanisms:**
- idealization (immature)

**Cognitive Complexity:**
- Complexity: 10%

**Parasocial Techniques:**
- Third-party validation: outsourcing the self-congratulatory claim to a trusted surrogate, providing plausible deniability while delivering the same narcissistic payload
- Implicit causality: 'hope' is contextually tied to the election outcome without stating it directly, inviting followers to complete the attribution themselves

## Fact Checks (1)

_The model's verdicts from 2026-03-21._

> America is feeling more hopeful this holiday

**UNVERIFIABLE**

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Midnight Victory Lap: Post-Election Trump Savors Vindication in Thanksgiving Eve Media Blitz**

Trump spent the eve of Thanksgiving in full celebration mode, firing off a rapid burst of posts just after midnight from Mar-a-Lago before going quiet for the rest of the morning. The tone was uniformly triumphant -- amplifying Fox News hosts declaring his legal battles over, mocking the "dictator" label as a failed hoax, and sharing favorable coverage of his border and tariff agenda. The only substantive policy move was the afternoon announcement of General Keith Kellogg as Ukraine-Russia envoy. It was one of the calmest days on record: no anger, no grievances, just a winner taking a holiday bow.
