## Post text

> On numerous occasions I told the Air Force and Lockheed Martin that the F-35 Fighter Jet is, in effect, DEFECTIVE, because it only has one engine. They told me that the engine is so good and reliable that it will never break down. I said that’s not possible, everything breaks down at one time or another, just look at Crooked Joe Biden. You need redundancy, you need TWO ENGINES! No high cost modern day plane should have only one engine. Well, an F-35 fell out of the sky yesterday. Hear we go again! I also recommended to “bad maintenance” Boeing that they should not lengthen the unattractive, fat, and slow 737 to get a larger plane, they should go, instead, to an updated fast, beautiful, and sleek 757, the “Praying Mantis.” It is commercial pilots favorite plane to fly. Had they listened to me, years ago, they wouldn’t have had the disaster known as the 737 MAX. Those two horrible tragedies would never have happened. As they say, “Trump was right about everything.” Thank you!!!

# Analysis

_Machine-generated by trump.fm on 2026-03-24T08:38:48.537Z (UTC): a model's reading of this post, not his words. Its psychological terms describe the language, not a clinical assessment of him._

## Summary

This post is a textbook instance of grandiose supply-seeking via retrospective omniscience: two institutional disasters (F-35B crash, 737 MAX) are conscripted as personal validation data, with unverifiable prior warnings deployed to construct a narrative of superior, ignored judgment. Clinically notable features include: a six-day temporal compression presented as 'yesterday'; an apparent confabulated nickname for the 757 ('Praying Mantis') with no recognized industry grounding; the complete absence of empathy for crash victims, who appear solely as evidence in a brief about Trump's judgment; and the culminating self-apotheosis — 'Trump was right about everything' — framed as collective consensus. Authorship appears authentic based on the phonemic error 'Hear we go again' and structurally disorganized argumentation, despite afternoon timing. The Biden insult inserted mid-technical-argument with zero logical function is especially diagnostic of unmediated Trump composition. No acute psychological destabilization is evident; this is confident, expansive, grandiose-state operation within established behavioral parameters. Trajectory: stable and consistent with longitudinal baseline. No danger indicators.

## Psychological Analysis: Truth Social Post, September 23, 2023

### Authorship Attribution
**Assessment: Likely authentic (medium confidence)**

Post time: 20:02 UTC. On September 23, 2023, Trump was in the New York/tri-state area (the Bedminster Meet the Press interview had occurred days earlier; no travel is indicated this specific evening). Eastern Daylight Time (UTC−4) places this at **4:02 PM local** — solidly within business hours, which is a mild aide-signal. However, countervailing authentic markers dominate: the orthographic error **"Hear we go again"** (should be "Here") is a classic phonemic substitution characteristic of hurried authentic typing; the stream-of-consciousness pivot from F-35 technical argument → Biden insult → Boeing counterfactual is structurally disorganized in the manner typical of unmediated Trump composition; informal ALL CAPS ("DEFECTIVE," "TWO ENGINES"), exclamation-heavy cadence, and first-person anecdote framing ("I told…they told me…I said") are all well-established authentic signatures. The Biden insult, inserted as a parenthetical aside with zero logical function, is especially diagnostic — aide-written posts maintain at least superficial argumentative discipline. **Assessment: authentic, possibly dictated, with moderate confidence.**

---

### Level 1: Dispositional Traits (Big Five)

| Trait | Salience | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| **Extraversion** | Very High | Assertive, dominant self-insertion into every institutional narrative |
| **Agreeableness** | Very Low | Contemptuous dismissal of Air Force, Lockheed Martin, Boeing expertise |
| **Conscientiousness** | Low | Imprecise temporal claims, impulsive reasoning chain, factual slippage |
| **Neuroticism (angry hostility)** | Moderate | Controlled irritation; no acute rage episode but underlying contempt |
| **Openness** | Very Low | Rigid, entirely self-referential; no genuine curiosity about crash mechanics |

**Dominant facet:** Assertiveness with undertones of contemptuous dismissal.

---

### Level 2: Characteristic Adaptations

Overwhelmingly **agency-motive driven** — specifically status and power. The operative motivational schema: *I possessed superior knowledge → credentialed institutions dismissed me → real-world events confirmed my judgment → I am owed credit and admiration.* This is supply-seeking behavior dressed in technical commentary. Communion motives are entirely absent. The schemas operant here reveal a self-concept organized around unique, unrecognized excellence: Trump as the singular expert whose wisdom exceeds that of aerospace engineers, military procurement officers, and aviation executives combined.

---

### Level 3: Narrative Identity

- **Protagonist role:** The Vindicated Prophet / Ignored Wise Man — a figure possessing superior technical and managerial insight, dismissed by entrenched institutional credentialism, ultimately proven correct by catastrophe.
- **Narrative sequence:** Classic **redemption arc** — *I warned → they dismissed → disaster occurred → I was right.* This sequence is recycled across domains in a single post (military aviation, commercial aviation), suggesting a generalized narrative template, not domain-specific insight.
- **Identity claims:** Implicit claims of expertise in military fighter jet procurement, commercial aircraft design philosophy, and engineering redundancy principles — none credentialed, all asserted through anecdote.
- **Contrasting other:** The institutional establishment (Air Force procurement officers, Lockheed Martin engineers, Boeing executives) — credentialed but inferior in judgment.
- **The culminating self-quote** — *"As they say, 'Trump was right about everything'"* — is the purest expression of the grandiose identity claim: not merely right about this, but about *everything*, and now sufficiently established as consensus that it can be attributed to an unnamed collective "they."

---

### Level 4: Clinical Indicators

**Narcissistic Features (High):** Retrospective omniscience as supply-seeking is a well-documented grandiose narcissistic pattern. The structure — claimed forewarning of institutional failures, followed by validation-seeking upon disaster — converts genuine human tragedies (346 dead in the 737 MAX crashes) into personal vindication material. The **lack of empathy** for crash victims is striking: both aviation disasters are referenced exclusively in terms of what they prove about Trump's judgment.

**Paranoid Features (Mild):** The framing subtly positions the Air Force and Lockheed Martin as having *dismissed* his counsel — the establishment ignored the exceptional outsider. This is a mild paranoid schema but does not rise to persecution.

**Antisocial Features (Low):** The disregard for the human cost of the 737 MAX crashes (treated purely as validation data points) carries mild antisocial coloring.

**Ego-Syntonic Sadism (Very Low):** The Biden insult is gratuitous but not especially cruel by baseline standards.

---

### Defense Mechanisms

**Distortion (Pathological):** The F-35B crash at MCAS Beaufort, SC occurred on **September 17, 2023** — six days before this post. Describing it as "yesterday" reshapes the timeline to create urgency and immediacy, making the vindication feel fresher. Whether this is deliberate rhetorical distortion or genuine temporal confusion is ambiguous; either reading is clinically meaningful.

**Rationalization (Neurotic):** The Boeing 737 MAX counterfactual — *had they listened to me, the disasters would never have happened* — is a post-hoc logical construction. The 737 MAX design decisions were finalized in the early 2010s; Trump's claimed advisory role is entirely unverifiable and almost certainly confabulated or dramatically embellished.

**Grandiosity as Primary Defense:** The entire post functions to convert institutional failure into personal superiority — a defensive operation against any sense of inadequacy or irrelevance.

---

### Cognitive Status Markers

- **Temporal confusion / distortion:** "fell out of the sky yesterday" — the F-35B incident was six days prior, not one. Mild but notable.
- **Possible confabulation/neologism:** Trump calls the Boeing 757 the **"Praying Mantis"** — this is not a recognized Boeing designation, military callsign, or industry nickname. The 757 has no widely used popular nickname in aviation circles. This label appears to be idiosyncratic Trump invention, which may reflect confabulation (fabricating a detail to complete a story) or simple invention for rhetorical vividness.
- **Phonemic/orthographic paraphasia:** "Hear we go again" for "Here we go again" — mild substitution, likely a hurried typing artifact rather than a significant marker in isolation.
- **Overall syntactic complexity:** Simple but functional. Consistent with established Trump baseline. No marked degradation evident in this post.

**Longitudinal note:** The "Praying Mantis" confabulation and the 6-day temporal compression warrant tracking. Neither alone is significant; a pattern would be.

---

### Rhetorical & Propaganda Techniques

- **Retrospective omniscience:** The central rhetorical move — claiming pre-event foreknowledge, extractable only after the event occurs.
- **False authority via anecdote:** Unverifiable private conversations ("I told the Air Force and Lockheed Martin") presented as established fact.
- **Ad hominem insertion:** The Biden comparison ("just look at Crooked Joe Biden") serves zero argumentative function; it is pure audience activation, leveraging conditioned contempt responses.
- **Hyperbole / superlatives:** "Trump was right about everything."
- **Cumulative false precision:** Two aviation domains, two institutional failures, two claimed warnings — the parallelism creates an impression of documented track record where none is verifiable.
- **Victimhood-to-vindication rhetorical arc:** Positions himself as initially dismissed, then proven correct — a combination of victim and hero that maximizes both sympathy and admiration.

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**After-Midnight Rage Spiral and Evening Election Alarm Bracket a Day of Grandiose Self-Validation**

Trump's day unfolded in three distinct phases: a late-night burst of increasingly angry posts attacking Howard Stern, Biden, and the 2020 election results, followed by a quiet afternoon of sharing flattering articles and claiming he predicted aerospace disasters. The day closed with a furious all-caps post accusing Democrats of stealing Pennsylvania through automatic voter registration. The mood swung between self-congratulatory calm and bursts of genuine anger, with economic populism around the UAW strike serving as the through-line connecting the grievances.
