# Analysis

## Analysis: RT of Sebastian Gorka Post (2022-08-14)

This is a low-content retweet/boost of a post by Sebastian Gorka, a loyal media ally, with the brief comment "Thank you for your confidence, Sebastian!" The original post content is not available but given the context (days after the Mar-a-Lago FBI search), Gorka almost certainly expressed support for Trump regarding the search.

### Timing & Authorship
Posted at 02:41 UTC on August 14. Trump was at Mar-a-Lago (Bedminster, NJ actually — he was at his New Jersey golf club during this period based on the FBI search having just occurred at Mar-a-Lago). EDT = UTC-4, so this was posted at ~10:41 PM ET. Late evening posting is consistent with authentic Trump activity.

### Psychological Context
This is one of several thank-you RTs during this period — a supply-seeking pattern where Trump amplifies supporters' praise during a period of significant narcissistic injury (the FBI search). The politeness and brevity suggest routine engagement rather than emotional processing.

### Pattern
Part of a cluster of grateful RTs interspersed with combative original posts about the raid. The RTs serve as narcissistic supply collection — gathering and amplifying supportive voices to counterbalance the threat posed by the FBI search.

## That day

_From trump.fm's machine-generated digest of the day, not his words._

**Six Days After FBI Search, Trump Sustains All-Day Siege Narrative Against Federal Law Enforcement**

Trump spent virtually the entire day fixated on the FBI's search of Mar-a-Lago six days earlier, cycling between late-night grievance posts and a sustained morning thread attacking the Bureau's legitimacy. A brief cluster of self-congratulatory retweets around poll numbers and supporter praise gave way to an extended morning assault on the FBI's history and motives, including insinuations that agents may have planted evidence. The day closed with a post describing "great simmering anger" among supporters — language that simultaneously described, endorsed, and amplified threatening sentiment during a period when DHS had already warned of rising threats to law enforcement.
