It's almost impossible to miss the new banner bearing President Trump's face that just went up here at the Justice Department. If you've been in Washington in recent months, you've seen similar ones at the Department of Labor or the Department of Agriculture, for example, but this one seems to strike a different chord given it's the Department of Justice. Historically, administrations have tried to stress a level of independence between the West Wing and the White House and their Justice Department, arguing that politics doesn't influence who is being prosecuted, but it's safe to say that line has been erased since President Trump has taken office in his second term. We've seen him directly pressure the Attorney General to prosecute people who he perceives as his political enemies or people who have led prosecutions against him. The Justice Department says this banner is in honor of America's upcoming 250th birthday celebration, but if you look at this banner closely, it also echoes what President Trump himself has said, talking about the slogan, "Make America Safe Again."

And these people come from the wrong places. They're coming from very bad places. There's no checks. There's no balances. It's a disgrace. What's happening to our country is a disgrace. We have to close the border, let people come in, but they have to come in legally. -Mr President, how do you conduct a mass deportation? -Say it. -How do you conduct a mass deportation? That'll be very evident. It'll go very quickly. I will tell you that. It'll go to deportation. We're going to get the criminals out of our country right away. Our country is being invaded, and many of these people are criminals. They're criminals. How can anybody do this? There has never been a president that's done such harm to a country as this president has done to our country. He's the worst president we've ever had, and I'm looking forward to November 5th. Let's bring in former FBI special agent and ABCL, Jonathan Gilliam. Jonathan, good morning to you. Lots of different Trump cases to talk about this morning, but let's start in Georgia and this possible attempt to look into impeachment proceedings against Fulton County DA, Fonny Willis. What do you think about that? Do you think that's going anywhere? I don't know. It could, you know, but the, the politics in Georgia, as we've seen with their governor, um, some of these people are anti-Trump, so I'm not sure exactly where it will go. And even the wording of the state Senator and the way that he laid that out, uh, showed that if he can get the people to go along with him, then it could have legs. I mean, the sheer fact that they released an indictment before a jury had actually, uh, been seated and given, uh, their judgment on the indictment, it was released publicly. I mean, this, it's unbelievable. I want to say how this is connected to Jack Smith, who is a federal prosecutor or a special, uh, prosecutor. And then we look at the judge that's involved with the federal indictments. All of these individuals have shown political bias in their careers recently, even, um, that against Trump and against conservatives and the legal system, as we used to know it, as we can see now is completely shoved out the door. We have judges who are, uh, who are not, uh, impartial. They are partial. We have prosecutors, uh, both federal and, uh, at the state level, who show that, uh, they will go and try somebody based on politics and opinion. Our legal system is in dire straits right now. And Trump is a perfect example of, of a victim of this system. I'm glad you mentioned Jack Smith. And I think this timeline we're about to show bears out what you're saying. Trump's defense team wants his separate federal election interference trial. I.e. The Jack Smith, one of the Jack Smith cases to begin in April, 2026 prosecution proposing January 2nd of next year. If we could keep this wall up for a moment, you see January 2nd is the potential trial. Then you have the New Hampshire primary. Then you have the Iowa caucus, excuse me, then the primary, then you have Nevada caucuses, more primaries than March 4th potential Georgia trial. Then you have super Tuesday, then you have two more trials. Obviously you see this interspersing. And when you lay it out like that, Jonathan, how else can you explain Jack Smith and the other prosecutors, quite frankly, rush to get Trump inside a courtroom with any other explanation? Then they're trying to mess up his campaign. What we're seeing right here, and that is so telling of what you're seeing right there, they've had literally years to bring all of these issues that they have with Trump to the forefront of the court system. And now they want to do it immediately. Time is of the essence. As far as they have shown in their opinions, time is of the essence that they have to have him in court during a presidential election season. If you would have tried this from the conservative standpoint against Biden or against Hillary Clinton when they were running, the left would have had heart attacks all over the place. The reality of what we're dealing with right now is it's so interesting that January 6th occurred. If you ask all the people that were there on January 6th that actually went into the Capitol building, no matter what you want to call it, they were there not to change government, but because they saw that government was broken and illegal things were going on and they had questions about the election. And interestingly, since that day, what the left and many other Republican politicians have done is illegal, unethical types of maneuvering to keep the very man that these people were saying was given a bad voting system and lost the election because of that, whether it's true or not, the left has gone and actually impeded his ability now to run in the next election. Jared, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz. One thing I forgot in my laundry list there, Greg, was, you know, using the dirty Russian disinformation dossier for not one but four Pfizer warrants to spy on candidate Trump, later President Trump. That went on for a full year. But when you look at it all together and then you look at what happened today, I'm 99.999% certain this will get thrown out. But what is your reaction to all of it? Big picture. Oh, this case will not stand up on appeal. It'll get tossed out the conviction reversed. And, you know, you saw this today, this Orwellian theater of the absurd with the prosecutor condemning Trump and using the kind of language that's normally referred to hardened criminals or serial killers, not somebody who is convicted of a bookkeeping error and then the DA through his own little pity party in court because Trump accused him of lawfare and he whined how they were being attacked for enforcing the rule of law. Now, what they did was they abused the law. They distorted statutes. They shredded Trump's due process rights. This was the most abominable and oppressive act of lawless abuse by a prosecutor and a judge that I have ever seen. It was shameful. It was disgusting. And so Trump was right when he told Michonne today, this was a political witch hunt to damage his election chances. And by the way, that is a crime. 18 USC 241 and 242, conspiracy against rights, deprivation of rights under color of law. You are not allowed to conspire with others to injure someone's constitutional rights. That is a felony. And I think it's imperative for the incoming Department of Justice to launch a comprehensive investigation into this because I think there was a lot of collusion going on between these lawfare prosecutors. I'd like to get to the bottom of that big picture, everything that happened today, professor, and and all that has gone on since the day this man came down that escalator at Trump Tower. Well, first, I want to thank you for urging Republicans not to sink to the level of what the Democrats did and to use only the law and the Constitution. Nobody's above the law, but nobody should be prosecuted just because of who they are. So thank you, Sean, because you carry an enormous amount of weight with the Republicans. And this is so important. What we saw today was a scam, a ploy. It started with Judge Marchant telling in advance what his sentence was going to be. I've been doing this for 62 years. I've never been told by a judge what the sentence is going to be. When I go into the courtroom with my client, I tell him to bring his toothbrush because he doesn't know whether he's going home or going to Rikers or some other lockup. The only reason Marchant said in advance what he was going to do is to try to persuade the two justices of the Supreme Court not to take the case now. And they use that fact. And they said the reason we're not taking the case now and stopping the sentencing from going forward was because the judge said in advance that he's not sentencing him to prison. So this was a ploy and the two justices, unfortunately, fell for the ploy. This is the worst thing that's happened to the American criminal justice system since McCarthyism and the civil rights abuses back in the 1950s and the victims of the American people. Trump, yes, it was hard. He said very honestly that it was tough for him, but he prevailed. He won and the American people won because they rejected lawfare. You know, I invented that term back in the 60s. I'm proud or ashamed of it. Yeah. It's a little bit of a miracle that all this did go away. And I also mentioned the Russia hoax. I also mentioned FISA abuse. I also mentioned top secret classified information that Hillary Clinton had and Joe Biden had. And they did not, they were not covered under the presidential records act. Their homes, their offices were not rated. They were not spied on. If there was Russian disinformation, it came from Hillary Clinton. She bought it. She paid for it. The government used it when they were warned not to use it. This, these are not small levels of abuse here. This is systemic abuse of the legal system we're talking about weaponization. That's the right term. That's the essence of lawfare, that it doesn't look at the crime. It looks at the person. And if it wants to see the person defeated for office, it goes after him. That's Stalin, that's Lavrenti Beria. Show me the man and I'll find you the crime. But they couldn't find the crime. They searched high and low to find the crime in New York. They made him up. They couldn't find one. So they made it up. That's even worse. Yeah. Because it could happen to any of us. Greg. Trump won the lawfare of war waged against it because Americans were paying attention and they're smart and they saw this for what it was. It was a contemptible weaponization of the law by Democrats to win an election. But in the process, Sean, they destroyed themselves with their own blatant corruption. Voters resented it. They vented their anger at the ballot box. This is the ultimate jury verdict in America. So Trump should actually be sending a thank you card, Alvin Bragg and Juan Marchant for unwittingly helping him win reelection. But the real loser in all of this is the New York legal system.
