And the whip hoax was born. But it wasn't just a hoax, it was Kamala's Trojan Horse, manufactured to justify importing hundreds of thousands of Haitians into the country with little vetting. That is why, also, starting with our administration, we gave TPS, Temporary Protected Status, to Haitian migrants, 55,000. And then, more recently, we extended Temporary Protected Status to over 100,000 Haitian migrants, for that very reason, that they need support, they need protection. Fast forward three years, and more than 300,000 Haitians are living here legally, thanks to Harris Biden. How's that working out? Let's go to Springfield, Ohio, the new epicenter of Kamala's Middle America migrant crisis. In 2020, Springfield had a population of 60,000. Over the next four years, 20,000 newcomers showed up, now a quarter of the town's Haitian. And the people of Springfield aren't happy. I'm angry that my friends and family are packing up and moving away. I'm angry that foreigners are using up the resources that were set up for the Americans that reside here. I'm angry that another country's flag was being flown in our city. I'm angry when I see our businesses and recreational areas littered with garbage, left by people that do not know or understand our laws and culture, and are making no attempt to learn about them. And let me be clear, this is not about race. This is about people being given the privilege of coming here from another country and having no respect for our people, our land, or our life's work. Americans feel unprotected and unsafe. I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard screaming at me, throwing mattresses in my front yard. Look at me. I weigh 95 pounds. I really challenged you guys to get out here and do something. These Haitians are running into trash cans. They're running into buildings. They're running into they're flipping cars in the middle of the street. And I don't know how like y'all can be comfortable with this. Like I don't know like who's getting paid from it. I feel like I honestly feel like someone's getting paid from it in the background. Last year, a Haitian migrant in Springfield drove a minivan down the wrong side of the highway. A school bus swerved out of the way and crashed, killing an 11 year old student on board. Not only has Biden Harris made this country more dangerous, they've made it more expensive. Well, got off the phone with the insurance company and was told that my insurance went up because of the cost of doing business in my area. Me and my wife have good driving records, no accidents and over. I mean, she's never had an accident. So I live in Springfield, Ohio, where the influx of Haitians are. And we have had a enormous amount of car accidents because they don't know how to drive. We got to do something about it. One third of our population is now Haitian immigrants, undocumented people. Springfield, Ohio, isn't a sanctuary city. Nobody, Republican or Democrat, voted for this. So how did it happen? And how many more Springfield's are we going to tolerate?

Republican voters overwhelmingly are saying they plan to vote for Trump in the primary next year. With neighboring Florida Governor Ron DeSantis only getting 10% of the support. Yeah, Louisiana has that closed primary system, so we're not going to see independents that are a little softer on Trump. We're seeing a core of the Republican Party, and that's where Trump is actually getting some of the highest numbers we've seen in our primary polling at about 75% support. Despite numerous indictments in recent weeks, Louisiana Republicans are sticking with him. I keep reading all these stories about Trump being indicted, but you certainly wouldn't be able to tell by how Republicans act in Louisiana. They're standing by his side. These indictments are barely acknowledged, and look, there are a lot of folks who are running entire campaigns based on their affiliation with Donald Trump, chief among them Jeff Landry, our attorney general. Landry, securing that Trump endorsement, has given him a competitive edge over all other Republican candidates. So the Trump name does carry in Louisiana.
