We have a Fox News alert. James Brennan and James Comey are likely regretting going all in on the Russia hoax now because DOJ sources are telling Fox Digital that the FBI indeed has launched a criminal investigation into the former CIA director and former FBI director for potential wrongdoing related to the Trump-Russia probe and all the alleged false statements made to Congress. The full scope of the investigation is unclear right now, but two sources describe the FBI's view of the duo's interactions as, quote, "a conspiracy." Here to break it down, Jonathan Turley, George Washington University law prof and Fox News contributor. Jonathan, we've been hearing for some time about Brennan's alleged perjury over his role in the Steele dossier and the advancement of that and perhaps understanding that that was not credible. Your reaction tonight to this stunning development. Well, it's obviously a major development. These are two of the top people in the American intelligence system. And there have been these long unanswered questions about what they told Congress. At points, they both seem to adopt the surgeon Schultz approach of I knew nothing. If only I knew I would have done something that didn't strike many as being very credible. Both of these tend to be somewhat of micromanagers. They take pride in the fact that they followed the details of their departments. And it all comes down, particularly to a period in 2017, an intelligence community assessment at ICA that went out and viewed the Steele dossier, that infamous dossier funded by the Clinton campaign as credible. And that in fact, Steele was credible. They knew that was not true. The CIA had already said that it had great misgivings about the Steele dossier. Even though the Clinton campaign was denying to reporters that it funded the dossier, it was in fact funded through the law firm of the Clinton campaign that the Clinton campaign used. And so there's a lot of questions here as to why particularly Comey, for example, signed off on these FISA warrants, these secret court warrants to conduct this surveillance. The other thing, by the way, they knew very early on was that Carter Page, who was such a significant figure in the Steele dossier and the whole Russian hoax, was not only not a Russian spy, but was actually a CIA asset. And so the CIA told the FBI, "You're on the wrong road here. You're going after someone who is assisting us." All of that somehow got buried. And what came to the surface was the Steele dossier, which was not only not verified, it had been really shredded by many people in the intelligence committee. Yeah. And Comey claimed that it was Papadopoulos, that poor, poor, hapless kid. That Papadopoulos, his interactions with the Russians started the whole thing. And it was long before the dossier. But this was Comey testifying back in 2020 about this. Watch. It was done by the book. It was appropriate and it was essential that it be done. Okay. So you're proud of it? Overall, I'm proud of the work. There's no indication, and the inspector general would say it if he found it, that people were doing bad things on purpose, but that doesn't make it any less concerning. This was an investigation that was appropriately predicated and opened, that had to be opened. Jonathan, it had to be opened. Supercilious doesn't begin to describe him. So dismissive. Now, I remember listening to a testimony and just almost falling out of my chair. I mean, virtually everything he said was untrue. In fact, the IG reports shredded the FBI and said that they didn't follow protocol, that they ignored counterintelligence, that they pushed the Steele dossier forward. And these were two of the key individuals who did that. So the question is, does any of this trick the wire to perjury? And both of these are sophisticated players. You'll notice that they're very careful in how they word this. Comey is very careful to say that there wasn't basically malicious intent, not that there weren't mistakes. And time and time again, Comey portrayed himself as ignorant of all of these countervailing sources. Now, and again, the Brennan perjury questions have been swirling about for years and years. This is like one big flashback for both of us, Jonathan. Thank you very much.

New Hampshire, we don't talk about it a lot, but there were shenanigans that went on. Hillary Clinton won it only by 2,700 back in 2016. Biden somehow beat even her margin by tens of thousands, even as President Trump gained over 20,000 votes. What went on in New Hampshire, and what can New Hampshire do to make it secure going forward for 2022 and 2024? A lot went on in New Hampshire. Let me tell you, Natalie, I am running for federal office here because I want to ensure that the people of my great state have a voice at the state level and at the federal level. In 2020, in New Hampshire, there were more than 200,000 new voter registrations. By the way, we have a population of 1.3 million, so you tell me if that sounds right. We also had a 30 percent increase in absentee ballots. Of course, the Democrats like to say that was a pandemic precaution, but we know that they use that as a mechanism to get their way. We also saw in our state anomalies in our voting machines, we did an audit in one town, and the tapes from that machine could not be replicated by any hand count. I know there are great patriots in this state that are actually going and pulling the tallies for every single machine and all 136 towns that use them. I look forward to seeing the report that they've been working so hard to put together, and we're going to bring that to the national level to get to the bottom of what happened in 2020 so we can ensure that it doesn't in 2022 and 2024. It's so important. Thank you for the work that you're doing to expose what happened in New Hampshire because, again, President Trump should have won it. He did win it because you can't expand your voting base by that much and then somehow lose it. Biden more popular than Hillary. It's not believable. Last night, Trump outsmarted all of his political opponents with this single move. "One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe." Elizabeth Medina was supposed to perform in her town's Christmas parade. His opponents will claim, "These are just anecdotes, yes, but they're anecdotes that could have been prevented, and there's no denying that. These things happened. Their family is there in the room." He already knows they're not going to stand, but he then begins to bait them in just to ensure the outcome. And it is the American people who pay the price and hire medical bills, car insurance rates, rent taxes, and perhaps most importantly, crime. We will take care of this problem. We're going to take care of this problem. We are not playing games. Now the stage is set. He moves in for the kill. I've never seen anything like this in a state of the union. One of the great things about the state of the union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe. So tonight I'm inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. He's so nervous. He's literally biting his fingernails. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens. Would anyone deny that? Regardless of how you feel about Trump, rather than pointing out, they're not standing up. He's requesting that they stand up to show support for something Now he waits and lets it sink in. It's difficult to believe that half of the government could be so stupid to allow themselves to fall into this trap. A lot of thought went into how to phrase the wording of this. It was designed to trap them, and it did. It was worded perfectly. I mean, you just look how long this went on for. I wish the cameras had focused on their faces more. -President turns 80 years old, same day as this broadcast. You see him every day, almost every day. He's 80 years old, almost, as we talk right now. People talk about President's health going back to the founding of the country. How do you see it knowing you're not a medical professional? How do you see his health, his energy at this age? -Yeah, so first of all, if this is airing on June 14th, the most important day today is not the President's birthday. It's happy anniversary to my lovely wife, so this is our, I guess, 12th wedding anniversary. But, you know, my sense of the President's health is that it's off the charts good. His focus, his energy, his constant grinding. I mean, the presidency is a crazy job. You constantly have, you know, more than a dozen cabinet secretaries. You have every particular crisis that comes up. They're coming to you at all hours of the night. And the joke that I have with Scott Besant, our Treasury Secretary, is we get to call it 2.30 in the morning, and it's the President. And he's like, "Were you awake?" And it's like, "Yes, sir, I'm always awake at 2.30 a.m." And that's been my sense of the President, is that he's constantly going. I think that he feels a sense of, you know, if you're lucky, you get eight years in that job. He's one of the lucky ones. But eight years is not that long, and he's trying to make every single day count, so he's constantly pushing everybody to do as much as possible. So I think he's in great health. I think, you know, you see people, the media constantly talking about that. I guess this is just something the media is gonna talk about. But from what I've seen, I've literally never once thought to myself, he doesn't have the stamina or the energy to do this job. - Never once. - If anything, not once. If anything, he's got more stamina and energy than a lot of people in the cabinet who are 30 years his junior. And I think that's a good thing, 'cause you want a President who is able to do that grind every single day.
