Wow, Tina Peters, free at last. Have you been following this whole saga for her? Boy, she's just a patriot. A 70-year-old gold star mother from Colorado who had grave concerns about the fairness of the 2020 election. That's not illegal, although they basically made it illegal. They infringed on her free speech. They weaponized, they weaponized. But listen to this. She's gonna be free by June 1st, and the Democrat governor actually granted her clemency. You see, President Trump couldn't. This was a state conviction. President Trump was applying pressure, believe me. If he weren't in the White House right now, she would not be, well, at the doorstep of freedom in just about 15 days. This is awesome, all right? Now, she was targeted, she was a county clerk. She had grave concerns about the fairness of the election. She wanted to investigate that election. However, you don't question certain things, right? They brought her up on all kinds of federal charges. I mean, they just got carried away. And she almost paid, well, she already did pay to me, an enormous price. Already been incarcerated, money, the rest of it, her name being sullied all across the state of Colorado, and how sweet it is, right? Now, here's just a taste of what she went through, the dominant fake news media every step of the way, because Tina Peters, I mean, a Republican in Colorado, I mean, talk about deplorable. Her son had to join the military. Just everything they think about us comes through when they talk about Tina Peters. - Tina Peters, the former Colorado county clerk convicted of orchestrating a security breach of her own election computer system in 2020 in service of the lies spread by Donald Trump and his allies over vote fraud was sentenced to nine years behind bars. Peters, who continues to promote the lies that voting machines were manipulated to steal the election from Donald Trump, faced some hard truths from the judge this afternoon. - Oh yeah, lies, everything that they, everything is a lie, everything is a lie. Do they know, what do they know? They know nothing, they sit at these desks and they just shoot things off, a lie. Now, you can have these concerns, you can investigate. She genuinely believes what she believes, and a lot of people agree with her. All right, the judge, this is what, you know, sometimes the worst things happen, but they set you up for something amazing. This guy got so out of control, and if he didn't, she wouldn't be on the doorstep of freedom, okay? Look at the way he talked to her. - There are many things in my mind that are crystal clear about this case. You are no hero, you abused your position, and you're a charlatan who used and is still using your prior position in office to peddle a snake oil that's been proven to be junk time and time again. In your world, it's all about you. But at bottom, this case was about your corrupt conduct and how no one is above the law. No one in this country has absolute power. Your position as a clerk and recorder, a constitutional position, does not provide you with a means by which to do your own investigation, to not listen to the judiciary, to not listen to the executives higher than you, to not listen to the legislature who sets the law as it may be, this is nonsense. - Proven by whom? Those 63 courts? I mean, who really looked into all of that stuff? I know for a fact that people voted in that election illegally. I mean, forget the machines. Just look at the Constitution of Pennsylvania. Just look at all the rules they just threw out. COVID, they use COVID as the excuse. Hey, how about this? A Democrat governor just set her free. Jared Polis, governor of Colorado, and he is a Democrat. And this is what he had to say. And I give him a lot of credit. Well, I don't agree with everything here. She'd committed the crime. And not only that he's there, but what he has done, right? I'll never forget. Nobody really, he didn't have to do this, but he did it. There were so many Republicans who wanted to move on from January 6th. He pardoned every single one of them, right? It was beautiful. There were like four that had to be addressed later, but 1,600 people walked free that very night, his first night back in the presidency. First, we have a list of pardons and commutations relating to events that occurred on January 6th, 2021. Okay, and how many people is this? I think this order will apply to approximately 1,500 people, sir. So this is January 6th. These are the hostages. Approximately 1,500 for a pardon. Yes. Full pardon. Full pardon or commutation? His very first night back in the presidency, prime time, signing the January 6th pardons. I love that man, what can I tell you? And they walked free that very night. Now, you and I know the truth about these guys. They were set up and the 99.9% of them didn't hurt anybody, didn't break anything. And the 0.1% that may have got into fights with cops. Well, nobody looks at how they were attacked by the cops and a lot of them fought back and they threw horrible incendiary devices into the crowd of peacefully gathered people and set them off, right? It's terrible. So nearly 1,600 people charged and convicted. Now, here's something else, a $1.7 billion compensation fund potentially. It's being actively considered right now by the Trump administration. He had sued the IRS for all the stuff that he had gone through and there might be a compromise here. They're considering a $1.7 billion fund for the people who were persecuted unfairly, wrongly, criminally by the Biden administration, by Obama, by all kinds of things. And this is great. They deserve compensation. They deserve relief, redress, whatever. People like Enrique Tarrio. Enrique Tarrio, head of the Proud Boys, right? Didn't break anything, didn't hurt anybody. He had some thoughts and he wrote those thoughts down. He didn't say, "Let's go kill everybody." He didn't say anything like that. You're allowed to think. You're allowed to say obnoxious stuff if you want in America, right? They went through his house and they arrested him and they ultimately sham trial, convicted, and sentenced him to 22 years in prison. Thank God he's out. But boy, he paid a big price, a big price. I think he deserves compensation. And we still need to know more about what really happened that day. Why did the cops just stand there? Anybody remember this? We haven't played this clip in a long time, but it's really interesting. Why are you letting this happen? Why haven't you called for backup? Where is your backup? This is our damn Capitol building and y'all are letting it get destroyed on your watch. (beep) Call you, call for backup. Get some help down here. That's Chris Cuny's wife. She has a miscarriage the next day. And you know, the FBI SWAT team coming into your house, I could see that bringing on a miscarriage. This is the craziest thing ever. One of the most notorious serial killers in American history is about to be arrested. And oh, by the way, he owns 300 guns. So they don't know what to expect necessarily, but they're professional cops. And they know how to take care of this situation. In suits, discreetly, they approach them on the street and put them in cuffs and put them in a cop car. That's the way professionals do it when they're not trying to make some sort of political point. They do it safely. They do it efficiently. They do it effectively. But when you're trying to besmirch a president, a movement, MAGA, you send in the SWAT team. So, oh, look at what we had to do with these crazy January 6th people. They were such a threat to democracy, optics, and the FBI allowed, they actively participated in all this stuff. Anytime anybody gives a cash Patel a hard time about anything, think about this. The FBI must be cleaned up from top to bottom. I still say cash is the guy to do it.

Obama cut the nuclear deal and then delivered to Iran an enormous amount of cash and turned a blind eye basically to the proxies and the missiles and drones. So if you think of Iran's defense posture as being a triad of the nuclear program proxies and disruptive military capabilities, we got in one leg of the triad we got temporary and reversible restrictions and then a complete green light to the Iranians to develop everything else. So that was I think a huge mistake in American strategy and Donald Trump has reversed that and he has returned deterrence and the credible threat of military force to the equation. And for that alone I give him an A. I give him an A+ for that. It's absolutely necessary. You can hear a lot of arguments especially when talking to our European friends, they say that the Strait of Hormuz was open before the war, now it's closed, the problem hasn't been solved, it's just been worsened and so on. And my answer to that very simply is what was your plan to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon? What was your plan from stopping Iran from putting its nuclear program behind a wall of missiles and drones that was going to exact that if allowed to continue to develop was going to exact such a high price from the United States if it attacked them that we would never be able to use them, we wouldn't have the military option. So I think that what Donald Trump did was absolutely necessary if he hadn't done it, what the Americans and the Israelis together did was absolutely necessary, if he hadn't done it then every American base in the region was under threat and we were going to have a nuclear armed Iran in very short order, the price of doing anything about it was going to become prohibitive and we also had an Iran that could be the proxy of China in the event that we were to go, that China was to make a play for Taiwan, it would be able to close the Strait of Hormuz and the Baba Mandeb and so on. So I think we need to also see it in that global level. So I give him very very high marks for taking this on and expending the political capital that it took to do it.

Israel has warned the United States that Iran hatched a plot to assassinate President Trump. K.T. McFarland joins me now. K.T., they're huge posters now. We're not even going to show them, but they're huge posters all over Tehran calling for Trump's death, one offering a reward for his killing. How should we respond to this? This is really direct now, like it never has been before. You know, I've worked for four presidents and they've always, you know, assassination attempts come with the job. I even worked for Reagan when he was almost died from an assassination attempt. But President Trump, he's really fatalistic about it, and he's not faced by it. And even when he was in Anchorage, he said, "Look, it comes with the job. They've tried. I'm the number one target of any assassin in the world." And so he's in a very unique position. Not only is that the Trump derangement syndrome American potential assassins, but it's now coming from Iran, from the country of Iran. I just think what do you do about it? You make sure that the government of Iran going forward, whatever the deal is, whenever the deal is, can police its own. And you also make sure that the Secret Service is just as good as it can be. And you continue to have a strong relationship with Israeli intelligence because they're the best in the world. God bless them. I mean, if it had, you know, for all those people who dump on Israel, of course, a lot of them don't care about Donald Trump. But the fact is, is that it was that Israeli intelligence, apparently, that prevented this attack or prevented the execution of it. And that's really a good ally when they can help prevent an assassination. Meanwhile, you do have, despite all this, you have the idea of the talks continuing. And there does seem to be a tension now in the White House between VP Vance, who we know is pushing for more negotiations, and Secretary of State Rubio, who says enough is enough, which is what Donald Trump seemed to be saying in the middle of the week, in the beginning of the week. Is Trump using this as kind of a good cop, bad cop negotiating tool? Yeah, I mean, Trump likes to listen to all people, but Trump is the only guy, he's a decider in chief. He makes the decisions. And even if nobody recommends a decision, he'll take it. What I thought was really interesting, David, is what Lauren was just saying about the price of oil. Watch how the negotiations have affected the price of oil. So before the war, it was about $70 a barrel. When the war starts, goes up to about $120 a barrel. And that was, that was putting a lot of pressure on the world economy and gasoline prices in the United States, et cetera. Then you have this ceasefire and price, price of oil goes way back down down to about 70. And now where are we? What did Lauren just say? $76 a barrel? No, no, no, no, no, no. $72 a barrel. Okay. $72 a barrel, $76 yesterday. So despite the fact that we're back at war and despite the fact that President Trump has said we're going to hit him hard, et cetera, and we are hitting them hard, oil is not the leverage and the blackmail that Iran had before. Why is that? Because in the period of the ceasefire, a number of countries have started buying American, right? They've been buying oil from Alaska, from the Gulf of America, and American oil, crude oil exports have gone up 30% just since the war began. The other thing is that the Middle East allies, the Saudis, UAE, especially, Iraq, they're building pipelines and fast tracking those pipelines. So with every day, Iran's ability to blackmail the world with the Strait of Hormuz goes down. K.T., you worked with the great Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Kissinger always was hoping, I think one of his dreams was that eventually there would be some kind of deal between Israel and the Arab countries that would kind of isolate Iran, put Iran in a pocket. It seems that Donald Trump, through the Abraham Accords, has worked this out, or at least that we have the basis for all of that working out. And these tensions now with Iran are the final proof of that, because you see the UAE leaving OPEC, et cetera. It seems like things are working in the direction that even Kissinger wanted to go for. You know, in the fullness of time, it's taken a long time. It has. But if you had said that you would have a situation where the United States and Israel and the Gulf Arab countries were working together, fighting together, not just trading, but fighting together against Iran, nobody would have believed you. And yet that's the new Middle East. I think that the whole Iran war is important as it is and important as Iran's nuclear weapons and getting rid of them was. The end result of this is a complete change of the chess board in the Middle East. We now have a lot of really close friends and allies, and that's the big takeaway.
