The media's coverage of this story has already proven to be very predictable. Every single report that we've been able to find immediately tells the reader, even in the headline, that this is political retribution, that the only reason this is happening is because she went after Trump. Remember that the media never force fed its audience that narrative, anything like that, when Trump himself was hit with 91 felony charges as he ran for president after an entire lifetime of having no legal trouble at all. He never saw a Donald Trump number one enemy of the deep state hit with multiple felony charges as he runs for president. That was never a headline in Reuters or anywhere else. And Carrie Lake joins us now to talk about this. What a moment to see that federal charge against one of the worst out there. I think like a lot of Americans, I started to think, well, maybe it won't happen, even though I've heard the news about all of the problems with her mortgage documents. I mean, that's real basic stuff. She's a top law enforcement officer. She should be thrilled that this administration is following the law, the letter of the law to a T. And the good news is I actually think that Tish is going to look really good in orange. I think it might be her color. Hey, nobody's above the law, Carrie, as we learned so many times from Tish James. They're calling this retribution, and sure, why not? Let's call it retribution. But there has to be this for what they did. And that's the point. You remember how much time Trump spent sitting in court, how hard they tried to humiliate him? And again, he goes 78 years. He never has any legal trouble. And all of a sudden, he has 91 felonies at 79 years old. And you're telling me that's not political. This is necessary. The people that did this, this needs to happen to them. Otherwise, they'll just do it again. If a lesson isn't learned here, then these people will just get worse and they'll do it again. Well, I don't think it's retribution at all. I think it is law and order. It's justice. There was a wrongdoing here. It sounds like it's a solid case. We're going to get more information as the days unfold. And I think it's going to be an open and shut case, a real easy one. It's all there in the documents, and nobody forced anybody to sign a document. And so when you fill out these documents, it's really hard to prove otherwise that you are innocent when, in fact, the evidence is right there in front of you. You know, and we think of what happened to President Trump and the fact that he was dragged through all of this nonsense. Meanwhile, New York City devolved into just a crime haven where criminals were running the streets, killing people, maiming people, hurting people and not being prosecuted. Maybe the good news is that when Tish does go to prison, there's going to be no criminals there because she didn't help lock any of them up. But I know that we are going to start locking people up who are doing wrongdoing in places like New York, in places like Chicago, L.A., and other crime-ridden cities. And it's about time that we have law and order and that the people who pay their taxes, work hard, can walk on the streets and not have to be surrounded by criminals, including potentially someone like Tish. - It really is just a reminder of just how dirty the inner workings of these big blue cities are, I mean, how corrupt the people that get in, I mean, people like, how in the hell is Tish James, the Attorney General of New York, how did that even happen? And you see it, I mean, it's the same reason we're about to have Mamadani as the mayor of this city. It's just, the Republicans don't vote, the Democrats know they have it, so you get the worst of the Democrat Party, the primary is the election, and you end up with these horrific people that are running the most important city in the world. - Well, this is why we need to, another thing that President Trump talks about, get back to real honest elections, where we vote on election day, we don't have election month, we don't have mail-in ballots, because I think a lot of common sense voters have just given up in some of these blue states and blue cities, they say, why should I even vote? It's just rigged, it's just a mess, there's no chance, and so I hope we get to that point, because I think when we do have really true elections, one legal vote per legal voter, we don't end up with the tissues of the world, we don't end up with the mandamis, we don't end up with the Gavin Newsoms, we end up with common sense people in office, and I think that's what we're gonna start seeing. - That's well said. - I pray. - Yeah, same here. Brand new details about how Obama's CIA targeted Trump and started the entire Russia hoax. For years, we were told that tips from an Australian diplomat tipped off the FBI after a random conversation with Papadopoulos, a no-name 20-something. But according to new reporting by Michael Schellenberger and Matt Taibbi, the whole thing was a CIA setup. Former CIA director John Brennan identified 26 Trump associates to be targeted by the Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance. And then those interactions were the targets and were targeted by the FBI as suspicious. And that's how the FBI launched the Russia collusion hoax. The details of this entire operation have been stored in a top secret binder in a secret room in Washington. Trump ordered the whole thing declassified. And now the rumor is that the binder might be missing. Go to me now, one of the reporters who broke the story, Michael Schellenberger. Michael, explain how this all started with the CIA picking these 26 Trump people. Yeah, good to be with you, Jesse. Well, obviously, this is an extremely serious story and serious allegation by multiple credible sources that Public and Racket, that's Matt Taibbi's publication, have spoken to. These are people that are close to the house intelligence investigation of how the Russia collusion hoax began. The story, as you mentioned, was that, oh, we were just informed by foreign intelligence about this. Our sources tell us a very different story, which is that this was initiated by the U.S. government. It came from within the U.S. government's intelligence community, including the CIA, that they asked the so-called Five Eyes Nations intelligence agencies. That's the other English-speaking nations, including Britain and Australia, to spy on 26 Trump associates, or at least they had a list of the 26 associates that were identified. This is new information. Some people have theorized about this and speculated about it. We feel very confident that our sources were in a position to know and are very credible in this report. It's obviously a very serious allegation because this is illegal spying and it's illegal election interference. Okay, so you're reporting that the CIA got these allies to bump these 26 Trump associates, create interactions, and then call these interactions suspicious and let the FBI know they were suspicious, and that starts the whole thing. What about this binder that encapsulates this whole thing and no one knows where it is right now or Trump has it? What's that? Well, Jesse, we'll have a piece tomorrow that is specifically about the binder, but as a friend of the show and of yours on this, I'll say that there has been widespread speculation that this binder was the reason or a reason for the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, and we'll be discussing that tomorrow. But obviously, if this binder contains what we have been told that it contains, which may include raw intelligence, information showing that the U.S. government, the CIA and the intelligence community of the U.S. government, initiated the Russia collusion hoax, that it did not occur in the way that the official story including the German investigation had portrayed it, then that's extremely serious information, and it may be, if the FBI then went to go get it in order to continue the coverup of this information, that obviously adds an even more dramatic wrinkle to this. Again, we'll have more to say about it tomorrow, but this is a huge, huge story. I mean, I can't, I've been thinking about it in the history of the United States of America. Have we ever had something like this where the intelligence community was weaponized against a political candidate and using our foreign allies to do it? I think the best way to think about our current political climate in the United States is we are led by a transcendent political athlete. Donald Trump is the most effective and capable political athlete we have ever seen. Why? He understands how to connect at the one-on-one level. It doesn't get much more serious than that. The chairman of the House Intel Committee doesn't have declassification authority over these types of documents. They are made available to Congress under very tightly controlled rules. This has been a source of tension for years, and members of both parties have gone out of their way to assure that this material would be closely held and not weaponized. This was viewed as one of the most political chairs of that committee in its history. This is a truly chilling account, if true. When I first read it, frankly, I was taken aback because it's perfectly moronic to commit such a felony with a planning conference meeting with staff. That's not usually how things are leaked in Washington, D.C. What makes this different, Will, is that this was a statement made to FBI agents. The person who made this statement was no doubt aware that lying to FBI agents is not just a crime, but a crime that was repeatedly prosecuted during prior administrations, including the Obama and Biden administrations. Making this statement puts you at risk. That's why someone's lying here, and someone's a felon. Let's just for a moment hypothetically take this whistleblower at their word. Let's assume for a moment that it's true, professor. What kind of punishment follows for leaking classified information? This is a very significant punishment. You can have, in addition to having multiple counts, you can easily go 10 years in terms of a sentence, if not more, depending on the circumstances and the number of violations. Each of these leaks is an individual violation. Each of these documents would likely be charged as a violation. That type of count-stacking is precisely what Mueller and others did. Remember, these are very similar to the types of claims made against Donald Trump and Mar-a-Lago that he removed material and properly stored them. There were also allegations that he might have revealed them to third parties. This is much more serious in that, in one sense. Trump was accused of negligence in most of these counts. This would be a premeditated criminal act to release classified information to damage one's political opponents.

So what is Chuck Schumer, who just spoke here on the Senate floor a few minutes ago, had to say, "Well, he put out a press release and he said that historically bad nominees, his words, deserve a historic level of scrutiny." Here are the facts. Senate Republicans have confirmed now 109 sub-cabinet nominees. Every single one of those 109 sub-cabinet nominees have been filibustered by the Democrats. Yet only seven of them received more than 10 minutes of debate on the Senate floor. They've chosen to waste the time, but not to discuss the credibility of any of these nominees. The average Democrat debate was two minutes, 87, zero Democrat debate. Only seven of them went for more than 10 minutes. In other words, the Senate Democrats declined to come to the floor to discuss 75 percent of these sub-cabinet nominees that ultimately were all confirmed by the United States Senate.
