Video transcript 2:41

Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism. Donald Trump is a great threat to our democracy. The greatest threat the world faces. Destructive to our democracy. To go out and put a bullet in Donald Trump. He has to be eliminated. That he is a misogynist, homophobic, racist. Eliminated. Someone's on top of the roof, look. You want me to tell you something about Donald Trump that the media doesn't know? How about this? He's a wonderful human being. My father's a man who has a heart of gold. And it's a side that a lot of America does see and a side that the media doesn't want you to see. This is a guy running for president. He had no place else he would rather be than right there with his granddaughter in her pre-K class. He's a very generous, honest, nice guy. He's done a lot of incredible things for a lot of people, but he's not willing to take credit for it. My only child, he was hit head-on by an illegal alien with two felony convictions. And I started to become suicidal. As I was telling him about losing my best friend, I could see him tear up. Donald Trump didn't just save my life, he helped me share my Dominic. He is actually very relatable. Hello, everyone. When you break him down, he's actually just a regular guy. Great athlete, loves to watch sports. He's a really good golfer. He's crushing hot dogs on the course. What's your specialty? He's an all-American type person. He loves good, casual food. He does like his chocolate bars. The deals we have with other countries are unbelievably bad. He can't stand to see things not done the right way. You should be rewarded for competence and capability in doing a job. When you look at what he's gone through, I'm trying to break him, I'm trying to kill him, but he's still out there fighting. This guy has been tested in every possible way. It's inspiring. I'll call him on the phone as a friend and be like, "Hey, you good? How you doing?" Mm-hmm. Unphased. He threatens this entire system of the corruption that is the U.S. government. With all of these forces coming against him, not for a moment did he ever show that insecurity or fear that someone might feel when they don't know what's gonna happen to them tomorrow. And that is who Donald Trump is.

Thank you to Greg Kelly, of Newsmax, for this wonderful piece on sedition — A MUST WATCH!

Video transcript 10:24

-This is the one that weaponized, not me. She weaponized. I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me. They talk about democracy. I'm a threat to democracy. They're the threat to democracy with a fake Russia-Russia-Russia investigation that went nowhere. -We have a lot to get to, Lindsay. -Their words, their actions, did get President Trump shot in 2024, shot, almost killed. A man was murdered. So much we don't know, right? I know this. The rhetoric that the swamp is engaged in and their activities, they want him dead all over again. What we saw from those Democrat Congress people in that disgusting video where they are calling for insubordination -- that is my read on it. They're calling for military and intelligence and basically deep state revolution against President Trump. It's not going to work. President Trump took the oath, the oath that they all brag about. President Trump took the oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. He did on Inauguration Day, and he will do it. You know, everybody who brags about taking the oath, if you actually understand the Constitution, ultimately, if they work for the federal government, their ultimate job is to assist him, the executive branch, the people in the military, to ultimately to assist him and to carry out his orders. Now, what we saw was, I thought, an open call for sedition. We'll get into that later, but you saw how President Trump reacted strongly and appropriately to what those Democrats said. This is really bad and dangerous to our country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. Seditious behavior from traitors. Lock them up, question mark, President Donald John Trump. Seditious behavior, punishable by death. He is pointing out, in that Constitution, a brag about that this is the penalty for treason, for sedition. We're allowed to do it. And what they are encouraging the military to do, and if anybody in the military listens, listens, are fine men and women in uniform. And we have, what, a million? I think two million plus the reserves? How many will listen to these members of Congress as they boast and brag about how important they are, where they come from, the military, the intelligence community? This is Senator Mark Kelly, somebody I actually briefly admired years ago. The man is without scruples, without morals. I am sorry, his words. And now what he's saying about what President Trump said. President Trump points out sedition is punishable by death. It's interesting, his reaction. It's actually fascinating and it's incriminating. Watch. - Hey folks, Donald Trump called for my execution. - No, he didn't actually. He just pointed out that the penalty for sedition is death. It seems that he's pleading guilty to sedition, punishable by death. Sedition is. So you're essentially admitting to sedition. How about that, Mark Kelly? Another bizarre, these people, they're killing themselves on social media. They all want to be like Trump. They don't know how to do it. Next, please. - Now I served 25 years in the United States Navy. I flew 39 combat missions. I flew into space four times. - And nobody cares. Nobody should care. The days of being impressed with that kind of stuff. What have you done for us lately? That's good for your resume. That's good for you to get what you want. I'm sorry, the swamp did this to themselves. After they dragged those phony Capitol Hill cops in front of Congress, after Colonel Vindman and General Milley, I see a uniform. I hope for the best, you know? In theory, I support service. I admire service, but I can't trust them. Don't be blinded by the uniform of the brass anymore. Nobody should. Next. - Never once did I expect that at some point the President of the United States was gonna threaten me with being hanged because of something I said. - Something I said. You just said something, right? This is just a freedom of speech issue. Again, he says sedition is punishable by death. You're deep down. You know what you're doing is seditious. Not that deep down. It is, it is. And you know, for something one said, didn't you guys lock up President Trump, impeach President Trump for his words, his words peacefully and patriotically, huh? You guys impeach Tim and try to throw him in jail because of words that weren't illegal. What you guys are doing, that's illegal. I'll get to what the original offense, but more from this Kelly guy playing the victim right now. - Folks, we have a constitution. We have First Amendment constitutional rights of free speech. I know a little bit about political violence. My wife, Gabby, was nearly assassinated. She was shot in the head because of political violence. She nearly died. - I am sick of the bragging. Everybody's become a braggart about their experiences. If their experience is somehow more important than your experience or my experience, don't play that. It's not gonna work anymore. And what happened to Gabby Gifford in 2010, I'm sorry, we're in a different place right now. I understand she's better. That's great. It's irrelevant. He mentions the constitution. This is getting very, very evil and they're hiding behind the constitution. It's a great, the constitution's great, but they're deliberately misrepresenting it and using it for corrupt ends. Next. - Just this week, he did this. Threatened our lives, said we should be hanged because of something we said. This is dangerous. All right, so let's get back to what they said. And it wasn't just something they said. You can actually get in serious trouble for saying things if you tell people to rebel against a sitting president of the United States. This man and his Democrat colleagues, right, each with deep state roots. We're supposed to trust them more 'cause each one was in the Navy or the Central Intelligence Agency. Hey, we trust you less, okay? If you are in the CIA, the deep state, we don't like you guys anymore. We should not trust you based on what you've done. And right here, this is sedition. - I was a captain in the United States Navy. - Former CIA officer. - Former Navy. - Former paratrooper and army ranger. - Former intelligence officer. - Former air force. - We wanna speak directly to members of the military. - And the intelligence community. - To take risks each day. - To keep Americans safe. - We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now. - Americans trust their military. - But that trust is at risk. - This administration is pitting our uniform military. - And intelligence community professionals. - Against American citizens. - This is firing up people, all right? This is getting people agitated, nervous, people in the military. And they've heard this about President Trump before from the fake news. And what do they call for? Like us, you all swore an oath. - To protect and defend this Constitution. - Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren't just coming from abroad. - But from right here at home. - Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. - You can refuse illegal orders. - You must refuse illegal orders. - The people in the military already know about illegal orders, all right? They learn about them. They learn about Meli, the Meli massacre, what happened there, right? This is not happening in today's military. But what you're encouraging these troops to do, to question their superiors. A lot of them, it's not their job to evaluate the Constitution. It's not. It sounds righteous, mm-mm. And what happens when on their own judgment, they start disregarding orders? Where are they going to turn? The Congress pretends that they have some sort of authority here, that they have some sort of cushion for these guys. They don't. - No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution. - We know this is hard. - And that it's a difficult time to be a public servant. - But whether you're serving in the CIA. - The Army. - The Navy. - The Air Force. - Your vigilance is critical. - And know that we have your back. - What does that mean? She's kind of saying that like this is, we are going to take care of you. You work for us, that's not true. They shouldn't be talking to the military. I mean, is this unofficial or official? It looks awfully official. They identify themselves as members of Congress. And they're telling them something to do. The only occasion they should be talking to members of the military is in congressional hearings. And those are scheduled, right? We have a forum for this kind of give and take. But for the members of Congress to go around, the civilian and uniform leadership of the Pentagon, to tell the military to disregard orders, to evaluate orders as to their legality when they're playing with fire. President Trump already got shot. They want it to happen again. They want something worse to happen again. This is not over everybody. These people committed the crime. And let's see where this goes.

California Congressman Kevin Kiley he is sounding the alarm in his home state saying under Governor Gavin Newsom's leadership it has become the quote "fraud capital of America." And we have team coverage our national correspondent Alana Austin is on Capitol Hill with more on the investigations into Tim Walz but we start with correspondent Heather Myers who has more on what is going on in California a rainy day out there on the west coast. Heather what can you tell us? Well good afternoon to you Katrina and Andrew this latest report was issued by the state auditor and that's a nonpartisan position that state auditor now puts eight state agencies on the high-risk list of agencies to watch out for for things like fraud and mismanagement as well as waste here's a look at that 92 page report newly added to the high-risk list is California's food stamp program if the state doesn't get the improper payments under control it could cost an extra two and a half billion dollars also on there is the Department of Finance which was tasked with giving out COVID relief funds critics say 32 billion dollars of that was taken by fraudsters then there are infrastructure issues like California's deteriorating dams and also the high speed train that's already cost taxpayers 18 billion without a single section of track complete other reports site 24 billion dollars spent on the homeless issue that critics claim the state lost track of more recently there's a report that says California cell phone users paid a surcharge for years to upgrade the state's 911 system here's Congressman Kevin Kiley talking about what happened to that plan that after spending 650 million dollars on that system the state is totally scrapping it and starting over completely wasted the money because the technology doesn't work mind you we are very close to Silicon Valley in Sacramento and yet the government can't figure out how to make basic technology perform

The People of Aberdeen, in Scotland, are dancing in the streets because the new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has stated that he will be opening up, all the way, the invaluable North Sea Oil! It is one of the Greatest Sources of quality Oil on Earth, has hundreds of years of Capacity left, with much not even found yet, and will make the United Kingdom, from a Poverty Stricken Disaster, to one of the Richest Countries anywhere in the World! Britain pays Norway Billions of Dollars a year to buy its Oil, which they get from a less valuable part of the North Sea — How ridiculous is that! Also, word is that the UK is going to move the old and horrible looking windmills, which loom over and destroy the City of Aberdeen. That will be a big day for the Country, and will be very much appreciated by everybody. Such great potential in the UK, but it all starts with OPENING NORTH SEA OIL. WE LOVE YOU SCOTLAND! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Video transcript 1:35

I think the president should try to create a three, four, $500 billion tax equity fund and help eliminate the electricity costs of 50 to 100 million American households. - Amazing. - If you actually go to solar and storage for every 15 million homes, you take a terawatt hour of demand off the grid. That's an extra terawatt hour that you don't need to build. So the reason why I like solar and storage is you make these folks so self-reliant. Now all of a sudden we're actually catching up to China faster than we would have otherwise. We actually get a two for one. The consumer homes don't have that anxiety anymore. They don't have the bill. And because they're generating their own power, they're off the grid. And now what that means is that extra terawatt hour can actually go to the commercial and industrial applications, including these data centers. The president preserved the ability to make those kinds of investments and be taxed advantaged for doing it in the one big, beautiful bill. - And if we want to live in the age of abundance, can we want to bring the bottom half of the country up and we want affordability? Where do people spend their money? Food, groceries, their rent, and their electricity and utilities. So it doesn't come out of Americans pockets and their taxes. It comes out of corporations, which are printing money. If you want to talk about redistribution of wealth, this is a way for the great American max seven corporations to give something back to Americans. We will look back and I think that we will want to have seen these big companies who are unbelievably profitable step up on behalf of American homeowners.

Video transcript 12:56

And for years, Trump supporters, patriots like I imagine many of you at home, but also people who just love your families and your country have been told that you're garbage or that you're deplorable, which is maybe the most liberal description I've ever heard. Deplorable is just not a word you typically hear from conservative America. So there's that. But for years now, many of the most powerful Democrats in the country have said this about you, and everyone on the left pretends that this is normal behavior, which of course it's not. I'll work as hard for those who don't support me as those who do, including those chumps of the microphone out there. You could put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. Donald Trump's got this big rally going at Madison Square Garden. There's a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it. They have become a cult to a thug. Should make you mad. Think about what the right has been called on an almost daily basis for more than 10 years. Deplorables, garbage, chumps, fascists, extremists, Nazis, racists, Islamophobic. That's the new one. Sexists, white supremacists. These are awful people, and I mean that honestly. And they say all of this because you support Donald Trump. You might not even like Donald Trump, but you voted for him because maybe you liked his policies, and that should be okay. Either way, all of that should be okay. Think about that. But you were called all of that because you voted for someone and because of what you value, who you are, and what you care about. Sorry, but don't fight with federal agents, and you won't get shot. It's pretty simple. It shouldn't be controversial to say that, and I'm sorry if I don't think that criminals who have no legal or moral right to be in this country aren't my neighbors. I don't want them as neighbors. Sorry if I support deportation. This is our country, and it shouldn't be controversial to say that. And it was the same thing on January 6th, a false flag operation probably, but also a day that was not a good one for Republicans. We can say that, but it was also a protest that lasted for four hours, and it was over. And even the most serious critics of January 6th, the insurrection, will admit that in their private moments, even Democrats. At its core, it was a group of Americans fighting on behalf of a cause that we should all still be fighting for, free, fair, honest elections. That shouldn't be controversial, where people show up to vote with an ID instead of mail-in ballots and drop boxes and all of that COVID crap that was put in place that never should have been put in place in the first place. We were told January 6th was a threat to our democracy. We're told that every week, every day. Was it? How? Could somebody explain how it was a threat to our democracy? Seriously, how was it a threat to our democracy? And then compare that to what we've seen in Minnesota, not for four hours, for more than four months, for years, if you want to go back to George Floyd, who's now the patron saint of Minneapolis, St. George. So who's the real threat to democracy? And I mean that seriously. The January 6th protesters, rioters, or the people destroying property and businesses and hotels and attacking federal agents on an almost daily basis, the people trying to run over federal agents, all in the name of foreign criminals who have no legal right to be in this country. People pushing this country into a civil war. That's how serious this is. People destroying the social fabric of this nation. So I'll ask it again. Who is the real threat to our democracy? I'll let you decide at home. But according to Democrats in Washington and in the media, January 6th was a day that we almost lost America, which is utterly preposterous, utterly preposterous. But you won't hear a single Democrat condemning what's happening in America right now in an American city day after day after day. Just this week, three Democrat presidents all came out in support of the chaos in Minneapolis and the rioting on behalf of foreign criminals, which is very ironic because all three of these presidents also supported exactly what Donald Trump is doing in Minnesota at one point in their careers. All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected, but in every place in this country are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. We all agree on the need to better secure the border and to punish employers who choose to hire illegal immigrants. The reason that cities ignore the federal law is the fact that there is no funding at the federal level to provide for the kind of enforcement of the federal level you need. Senator Biden, yes or no, would you allow the cities to ignore the federal law? No. No. These three men, these three actors should be applauding what Donald Trump is doing right now, but they can't because it's Donald Trump and Donald Trump is evil according to the left. And now Democrats are back to using their favorite word again and again and again. Kristi Noem must be impeached. In the event that she is not terminated, we are prepared to initiate impeachment proceedings against her. Kristi Noem should resign, and if she doesn't, Congress shouldn't teach her. Fine, be fired, or be impeached. Kristi Noem has disgraced herself. More than 162 House Democrats have called for impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, okay? And Republicans like Tom Tillis and Lisa Murkowski have joined that group siding with Democrats, which is even more cowardly because none of them mentioned impeachment during the four years of Joe Biden. We didn't hear any of these people calling for the commander in sleep or his circus act of an administration to face impeachment no matter what they did. Think about that. Alejandro Mayorkas let in more than 15 million foreign nationals. He let them cross the border with impunity. They came into this country, gang members, rapists, murderers, and to this day, we still have no idea who they are or where they are. People from over 100 different countries with no skills, no jobs, no plan for a job. Most don't speak English, most don't care. And some are good people, sure. But does that really matter? Why are they here? And think about the Americans who've lost their lives because of Alejandro Mayorkas, and they fought to keep him in power. This impeachment is baseless. It is unconstitutional, and it should be defeated. Impeaching a cabinet member without any evidence of high crimes or misdemeanors, that is the breach of public trust. Let's be clear, Secretary Mayorkas is a good man, a patriotic man, and a hardworking man doing the best he can. Is it patriotic to let 15 million foreign nationals into your country? I don't think that's patriotic. I actually think that's the opposite of patriotism. Nobody said a word about impeaching Alejandro Mayorkas, but now Democrats are calling for Kristi Noem, who took over for Mayorkas to be impeached because she's trying to clean up his mess, and that can be messy. Sorry. It can be messy arresting people. It was the same thing for Lloyd Austin, our secretary of defense under Joe Biden, the man responsible for the Afghanistan withdrawal, Afghanis hanging off American planes as they took off in Kabul. This is Joe Biden's legacy. Here's Lloyd Austin for you. Billions of dollars in US military equipment, ammunition left behind. It's now in the hands of terrorists. Bagram fell. The US embassy fell. America lost Kabul and lost Afghanistan. 13 American soldiers were killed at Abbey Gate, a military failure that we haven't seen in generations, not since the Vietnam War, but somehow Lloyd gets to keep his job. The historic evacuation of 120,000 people was remarkable, and I commend the administration for that, but it was remarkable, even though it got off to a hazy start. Nancy, a hazy start? That's your career right there, a hazy start. 13 Americans were killed. Also Joe Biden could get us out of Afghanistan before the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, all because we elected a president with dementia. He didn't know what he was doing. Neither did Lloyd. Neither does Nancy. And not only that, not only did they lose Americans, but Democrats were proud of it. They celebrated it. Just like they were proud of Merrick Garland, the first attorney general in the history of our country to weaponize the Department of Justice and target a former American president, Donald Trump. For the first time in our nation's history, this never happened before. After Merrick Garland, four Trump indictments, 90 charges, the raid on Mar-Lago, all orchestrated by this guy right here, Merrick Garland. It should make you mad. Against Joe Biden's political opponents and Democrats celebrated literally like he was some kind of hero. My wife treats me like that when I take the trash out. But seriously, has anybody ever clapped for you like that? My goodness, this guy is a total disaster, and people are clapping for him, and they're clapping because that was thought of right then in that moment as mission accomplished. But no matter what Joe Biden or his cabinet did, Democrats stayed united behind him. There's a lesson there, because Republicans never do this. Republicans, they just, as soon as the going gets tough, they literally get going. Lisa Murkowski. No matter what happened, a four-year period, unlike anything we've seen before, and Democrats supported their intrepid leader. And now because of Alex Priddy, the anti-ice activist, with a history of screwing around with federal agents, who had a loaded gun with 60 rounds of ammunition and fought with federal agents, because of that guy Republicans are now turning on Republicans. I think that what she's done in Minnesota should be disqualifying, she should be out of her job. I mean, really, it's just amateurish, it's terrible, it's making the president look bad on policies that he won on a strong message about immigration. And now nobody's talking about that. They're not talking about securing the border, they're talking about the incompetence of the leader of Homeland Security and the other people, the Vino, whatever his name is, he needs to go back to California, get his retirement papers in government. These people are amateurs. Okay, so that's Tom Tillis, North Carolina Republican Senator, and Tom, the borders closed. And there will be a fair investigation, an honest investigation into what happened. But if this goes the other way in November or in 2028, it's not going to be just Kristi Noem. If Democrats win in November, it's going to be a whole lot bigger than that, I guarantee it. I want Stephen Miller to be the number one in the Nuremberg trials when this is done. When this is done, I want Stephen Miller to be the first one who has tried and convicted and dangles. Think about that. The Nuremberg trials where Nazis were tried for their crimes after the Second World War, many of them were executed, some were shot, hung. And who's the real threat to democracy? Is it the right? And to anyone who says January 6 was a threat to our democracy, it was a bad day, I'll grant you that. Was it really a threat to our democracy? To anyone who says that, I raise you Minneapolis right now. And to anyone calling for Kristi Noem to resign, I raise you Lloyd Austin, Merrick Garland, and Alejandro Mayorkas.

The State Republican Convention is important, not only to the state but also the nation, whereby we as conservative Republicans, capitalists who believe in our country, who believe in our military, who believe in freedom, come together as a party to talk about the things that will sustain our future. Sustain our future of our schools, our families, and our opportunity to make America the greatest nation in the world. I am so proud, as the congressman from the 17th District, to know that we make a difference. We make a difference to families, to our communities where we live in, and to the state. And I want to thank the patriots who have come to Houston, Texas, for the State Republican Convention to make sure that we work together, and we sell the fight, and remember, we have not gotten tired of winning. -Number 12.

Let's bring in Victoria Coates, Vice President of National Security and Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation. You probably heard Senator Jack Reed talking to Shannon Bream a little bit earlier in the hour. He said this potential deal with Iran that the Trump administration appears ready to sign is not giving us anything that we didn't have under Barack Obama. Your reaction. Well, good afternoon, John. Good to be with you. I think Senator Reed is in a rather difficult position as a card-carrying supporter of the Obama-era Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the JCPOA, which failed miserably. You know, he's trying to cover his back here and say, "Oh, this deal isn't going to be any good because we already had all this with the JCPOA." That is just categorically false. For starters, we don't know what's in this deal. And I think everybody on X should take a deep breath and stop freaking out about a deal we haven't seen yet and, you know, being in a race to be wrong. But let's look at what we do know. We do know President Trump was the only president willing to take major military action against Iran in advance of any negotiations and to take also major economic action against them to decimate their economy. This gives him leverage President Obama never had in those. And what's more, we're hearing very clearly out of the White House no cash up front like the Obama people did and dismantle the nuclear program. Don't enshrine it in some deal so they can restart it again later. That's what Senator Reed is trying to defend. But apparently there's going to be some kind of a 60-day negotiating period after the agreement is signed. You know, what's to say? What's to prevent Iran from, you know, dragging its feet and at the end of 60 days saying, "Oh, we didn't really mean it. We don't want to do this deal." I think what happened last week is what prevents that from happening, the additional strikes from the United States where, as Secretary Hegseth was saying, we can strike whatever we want whenever we want in Iran. And they know that now. They might not have fully taken that on board before Operation Epic Fury and before the U.S. went back in last week to take out some more, you know, missile launchers, some more radar systems, and we can keep doing that. So it's entirely up to them if they would like to do the sensible thing and actually come to this good deal for the Iranian people. Or do they want to just keep on being obstreperous? And I'm hearing a lot of reports about political fracturing inside Iran. It may be we don't have to do that much to push the situation over the edge. Yeah, so much of their leadership has been decimated. It's kind of hard to know who is in charge right now, but I guess it's the guy who is basically in command of the Revolutionary Guard there. Yeah, that would be Vahini. And so he controls the guns, and that's a pretty good place to start if you want to be in power in Iran right now. But we also have the new supreme leader who's showing potentially signs of life, Mashtaba Khamenei, the son of the old one. And, you know, the president has been saying that he's somebody we might be able to come to an arrangement with. But my big question tonight, John, is it does it even matter what's in this deal? Is Iran too damaged both in terms of their infrastructure and their economy to be able to recover regardless of what's in this deal? I think that's a very real possibility. So let's see what comes out. But they have a just world of problems regardless of what's on this piece of paper. UN Ambassador Michael Walts, as you might expect, is defending the Trump administration's position here. He says this is way better than any negotiating the Obama administration did. Listen. Under the JCPOA, under Obama's deal, there was not anytime anywhere verification. They could determine or even delay the inspectors. And most importantly, they could just call a site a military site, and then it was off limits. And number two, you're not going to see, you know, these pallets of cash moving up front. It is going to be pay for performance. So it seems that after 47 years, the Iranians maybe are realizing there's a new sheriff in town. I think so. And I would add to Ambassador Walts' list, you know, number three, which is I haven't seen any sunsets on this deal. And if there were any, they would be a whole lot longer than 10 years. Say we had Senator Reid's dream. We'd stayed in the JCPOA. Well, guess what? It expired last year. So that wouldn't even be in effect at this point. That's a non-deal. And so that is not a permanent solution as Ambassador Walts was also saying. It didn't get rid of all of this infrastructure. They kept it. And then after President Biden came in in 2021, they activated all of the sophisticated centrifuges. And that's when they spun up their highly enriched uranium. So I think what President Trump has done, which is demonstrating overwhelming, devastating military and economic superiority, has given him the leverage to negotiate something meaningful, but also to damage the regime so badly. As I said before, I don't know that they can recover. We'll see. Victoria Coates from the Heritage Foundation. Thank you.

because their cost is too high they will lower those costs. I don't think that is how it works. That is exactly how it works. It is your specific job. Sorry to belabor this, I know so many people on both sides of the aisle have have asked you about the department's decision to remove nursing, teaching, social work and other critical occupations from the definition of professional degrees and capping their ability to receive federal loans. I know that in my home state of Minnesota we're expecting to face a shortage of 30,000 nurses in the next four years and I know that your home state of North Carolina it is expected to see a shortage of 15,000, 13,000. Our nurses obviously are limited in their capacity, they're overworked and they're worried so I know you said the decision is final but I'm just trying to figure out if you can answer why did you move forward with an action that you know is going to be creating a problem or worsening a problem that already exists. Well first of all let me correct one thing. We did not remove any of these professions from a professional category, they were never never characterized in the law, in the statute, as a professional category. So as these caps were put into place and many professions were then being reviewed as to what constituted a professional category guided by the definition of a professional degree from Congress. So that was the overview that the that we looked at as we are writing this new rulemaking with the with the overall goal of putting caps in place that are going to reduce the cost of college. How is that happening? Well I have a couple of articles here already that there are colleges. What do they say? They are saying that they have that they are looking at reducing the cost of their graduate program. I know but looking is not addressing the problem that we are currently seeing. What I am asking you is that you've made a decision that is currently making the problem worse. That is not correct let me let me push back on that. Are you saying the numbers in Minnesota that we're seeing or in North Carolina are not real? Well what I'm saying to you is there are shortages in those states primarily in the undergraduate nursing program which is not affected by this new rule and this new cap. Undergraduate programs are not affected at all. I know but can you... So the shortage is not a result of this cap being put on. The shortage of nursing is that we don't have enough applicants into the nursing programs that that are you know coming through our universities. So instead of helping with the problem you've decided to make it worse? I don't think you were in when I talked about another way to get to an RN and expedited program you can get a two-year certificate and then take the exam to become an RN. My sisters or nurses I do know how those things work. I'm asking you about this specific classification that you created that lowers the cap. We didn't remove that from a professional designation. I know but address the cap issue when it comes to the... I just did because it does not impact. But you said you were trying to lower the cost of tuition how does that happen? Because there are already colleges that are lowering the cost of their graduate programs. What are those colleges? There's a college in in California University of California in Irvine and Purdue University in Indiana. And is it for business or for nursing? They have lowered them right now and for their business programs. But we're talking about nursing ma'am. Well I hope that they'll look at other programs. Because business is not something that you had an impact on. I don't have control over which programs they're doing but if they have fewer applicants coming into their universities and they realize part of the reason is because their cost is too high they will lower those costs. I don't think that is how it works. That is not how it works. Your specific job is to try to make sure as the head of the Department of Education to make education accessible for Americans. When you create policies that make education unreachable for Americans that want that education then you are failing at your job. No when there have not been caps on programs and universities have been allowed to charge whatever they wanted and the student loan program allowed them to borrow up to whatever that university said was the cost it was time to take action and to put caps in place that are going to start. Yeah but your caps only create a funnel through the private borrowing system. That's not true. Yes that is what it will do. How else would somebody if I wanted to get a professional degree and I'm capped and I can't borrow then I have to from a public source then I have to go private and that is what your administration is really trying to do is trying to help enrich others on the backs of the American people.
