So earlier this week, there was a ceremony at Arlington Cemetery for the 13 Americans killed in the Abbey Gate bombing as the United States fled Afghanistan in humiliating fashion. The two people responsible for the carnage did not attend, but Donald Trump did attend that event. And of course, Trump is the only one who's taking heat from the media tonight, desperately trying to keep alive PBS's reporting of an altercation between a Trump staffer and a cemetery official that day. New York Times Maggie Haberman claiming the family of a dead green beret is upset by Trump's team filming near his grave site without their permission. Kelly Barnett was there this week with Trump. She is a gold star mother. Her son, Staff Sergeant Taylor Hoover, was killed in the Abbey Gate suicide bombing, and she joins us tonight. And thank you so much, Kelly, for coming on and joining us. It does seem clear to me that the media wants to protect Biden and Kamala politically. They bear the responsibility for the chaotic exit. They bear responsibility for what happened to your son. So this story is what we get after what we saw and a beautiful ceremony that we saw this week. I want to ask just to start, did you witness any of this alleged tension between the Trump team and the cemetery officials? No, thank you for having me and letting me have a voice. No, I heard about it later that evening and the first thing in the morning. We heard nothing. Everything went so smooth. Trump's team was completely respectful. The Arlington staff was completely respectful. I heard nothing. The claim here is that Trump is politicizing his visit to Arlington and that day that he spent with you. They clearly want Americans to think that Trump is using the 13 killed as some kind of political pawn. When you speak to him, and I know that you have, and I know that he's rather close to all of these families, do you sense that or is there an authentic, you know, concern there from him? No, he is 100 percent authentic. This year I reached out to him. My dad is 80 years old. He has a deep respect for Trump. My son had a deep respect for Trump. I said, oh, this would be great. This is my dad. He said that this is probably his last time to be able to travel there. I wanted him to lay the wreath and I said, this would be a great opportunity. It would be great for our family to have this memory. So we brought him in. Trump was nothing. It was not political whatsoever. He was asking me about Taylor, talking about the family, how we were doing. You know, we'd have, you know, we would talk about, you know, how we felt that day and it was a beautiful day and that it was a joyous day. You know, he told me to, you know, not to cry, that if this was happy, that Taylor was happy and it was a good day, nothing political. This is all just a, you know, they're throwing daggers at us, ghost our parents. You know, we've already been through so much. I, you know, can't they just stay in their lane and mind their businesses had nothing to do with politics whatsoever? When you go to Arlington, I know it's sad and I know it's very somber to be there. But does it make you proud to honor your son? And I mean, that is such a beautiful place and it's such an important place. It is like a sanctuary for me to go there and to sit is a beautiful place. You know, usually I have the place to myself and I can sit and reflect and talk to him. It's just a beautiful somber place, you know, and I know that people keep bringing up this stupid photo. That photo was for me. Trump was walking away and I said, hey, can I get a photo? You know, around Taylor's head, headstone really fast with my family and my friends. It was supposed to be for me. Arlington is the one that took that picture and leaked that photo. They're the ones that gave it to NPR and started this whole thing and that breaks my heart because I love going to Arlington and I've had nothing but great things and great experiences with the staff there. And this breaks my heart that they're allowing their employees to act this way because that is definitely a sanctuary. It's a sacred place for me to be with my son. The politically charged nature of it, you're right, makes no sense, has no place here. It's just, you know, it's you guys have been through a lot, as you said, and your kids are all heroes. What happened that they should not have happened. And it's an embarrassment to I think this administration and I think that's why we have this so politically charged because we're coming up against an election. But I want to thank you so much for coming on tonight and sharing that story with us. And thank you so much for your son. And you should be immensely proud and he belongs in a place that's as beautiful as Arlington Cemetery and it is an incredible place. And thank you so much for coming on. Thank you so much. Well, Donald Trump was in court yesterday and jury selection, they narrated it. Seven jurors were sworn in for this hush money trial. Eleven more are needed. But don't you think that's quick to get seven? Especially after the first day. Yeah, exactly, exactly. A tech worker, an English teacher, an oncology nurse, sales professional and software engineer and two lawyers. But look what Trump did. He left the courthouse and went up there to Harlem. In front of that bodega where the man who no longer works there, remember he was working there, Jose Alba. And a guy comes in and is trying to steal stuff from him. Tried to kill him. Tried to kill him and so Jose kills him. And Jose was charged with murder, went to Rikers. Those charges were dropped after everyone in New York and all of our Fox viewers were complaining. Well, they couldn't go back to work because he was getting hassled on a daily basis. Right, that was Alvin Bragg, right? Right, and we saw the video when this happened back in 2022. And so yesterday, Mr. Trump says he was invited by the Bodega Association to stop by. They say they've got a real problem there. But essentially, they're using a little campaign strategy. He is, he, the former president, is trying to turn the tables on the DA here in Manhattan who is prosecuting him in the Hush Money porn star trial. He's saying, look, Alvin Bragg came after me. It's a fake case. Why is he coming after me when he should be going after actual people who are breaking the law? Here's the former president. This is all politics. This is coming out of the White House. And you know, it makes me campaign locally, and that's okay. [CROSSTALK] We're doing better now than we've ever done. So I think it's having a reverse. You know what, all I want is fairness. And these people have to be treated better, the Bodega Association. Bodega's, because every week they're being robbed two, three times. It's crazy. It's crazy. And you know what, the police can do it. They can stop it. But they have to be allowed to do their job. >> Four more years, four more years, four more years. >> This is Harlem, New York. >> Yeah, I didn't do their DNA, but that does not look like a, that looks like a very diverse crowd. >> It is, because that's Harlem. And you know, Joe Biden has a fatal flaw here. He keeps saying, you know, he's a billionaire. You can talk about where he's from all day, but it's about what candidates represent and who they represent. And when you see diverse people out there saying four more years, Harlem has been broken. Do you think those businesses want more taxes? Do you think they're comfortable with the crime happening in this city? As Alvin Bragg, the only time you see his face is when he's going after Donald Trump. There is no sympathy for the victims there. You don't hear anything about, from the current president, about taking the housing from the seniors in Harlem and putting the legals in there. You think Donald Trump is gonna support that? >> You know, just to look at the difference in Joe Biden and Donald Trump, look, he's like chanting with them and holding up his fist, going around shaking hands, taking pictures with these individuals. Joe Biden just- >> He talked to the press. He actually answered their questions, and you know what, I'm pretty sure those questions were on pre-screen. There were no cards. And he doesn't embrace, he knows he's in the middle of a gag order. He knows he could easily say, guys, I gotta get myself in trouble here. But he goes, no, no, I'll take it. >> And number two is what I think is important, is that Donald Trump can go to other places. Like, how about the subway station where Danny Penny was forced to just bring into action and save those people? >> He might. You think every day after court, he's gonna choose a different location in New York? >> Right, and today is an off day because they are making progress. And Brian, your question about whether or not, you know, why they seated so many jurors yesterday. Because the day before, the judge said, look, if we don't pick up the pace on this, we're not gonna get Wednesdays off. So suddenly both sides agreed on those seven people. But they still need like five more and a bunch of- >> We want our time off. >> He wants one. The judge wants Wednesday off. >> Yeah. >> They all want Wednesday off. >> But I think it cannot be lost on us, that the President of the United States, former President of the United States, is being forced to campaign in this region alone. Because this judge cannot wait to put the trial at a different day. I think when the former president says that his election interferes, I think there's some credibility there, and there's a point there. Why are they staging all these trials to where he cannot campaign in another state when Joe Biden gets to be in Pennsylvania? >> Yeah, and maybe this is the only one, it's okay. It's rampant in the streets. And Republicans in certain localities did a pretty good job capitalizing on that. >> One of the jurors that was excused, she said inside the courtroom, the jurors were pretty even for Manhattan, which is surprising. >> One of the things that she said, and I think it's important to note, is that some of the people were saying that they watch Fox. Just because they say they watch Fox doesn't mean that they're Republican. We have more Democrats that watch our network more than any other- >> But that same person said they watch MSNBC and they read the New York Times. >> So one watches, I so want to listen to The Breakfast Club with Charmin and the God. The other works at Disney, that could be dicey. And the other one reads the Daily News. The Daily News is the most anti-Trump newspaper in the country and it's great competition. >> Look at this, okay, Daily News here. They get their news from Google and TikTok. These highly political Biden lawsuits and indictments shouldn't be allowed to start until after the election is over. Who would ever think a thing like this would be allowed to start?
