You know, it's always an honor for me to be in the Oval Office with the greatest president of my lifetime. Yes, I said it, and I meant it. You know, I was just, I just got home last night. I toured the border in California, Arizona, and Texas. I did it on a four-wheel drive, I did it on the river, I did it from the air. Hundreds upon hundreds of miles of border. I didn't see one illegal alien. Not a single one. I've done this since 1984. I worked for six different presidents. No one has done more than President Trump. What he has done is gave us the most secure border in the history of this nation. Hard to stop. I went to hundreds of miles of border and didn't see one illegal alien. Incredible, considering the Biden administration, we had 10,000, 12,000 a day. Most released in the United States. I'm proud to be with these patriots behind me. I'm already proud to be in the Oval Office of the President, but being with these heroes, I met some of these soldiers down on the border. And actually, a shout out to Fort Drum, New York. We got some 10th Mountain division here, so at least upon it, Claudia 10, we all love Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain. So look, this is a game changer. I want to make something perfectly clear. Could we get attacked all the time being inhumane? The Biden administration is much more humane. It's just a bunch of crap. Because there's been studies done that 31% of women that make that journey through the cartels get sexually assaulted. They get raped. And not just the women, children too. I've done numerous investigations in that. Sex trafficking was a historic highs with an open border. Fat no, historic highs that killed a quarter million Americans. No inspected terrorists that came across the border. Record historic. What happened under Biden administration was the most inhumane thing I've seen in my lifetime. Now that the border is 96% decline, 96% less people are coming. How many women aren't being raped? How many children aren't dying making that journey? How many women and children aren't being sex trafficked into this country every day? How many known suspected terrorists aren't just walking across that border? President Trump in this administration is saving thousands of lives every month. Hard to stop. That's just a stone cold fact. I'm just proud to be a part of this. I work with Steve Miller every day. Steve Miller is one of the most brilliant people I've met in my entire life. President Trump bought together one hell of a team here and the success proved. We all working together, one team, one fight. We're not done yet. We're going to keep going and I guarantee we can continue saving thousands and thousands of lives. You have been involved in numerous negotiations around the world. Why should people have any confidence in your capacity to succeed here? You were involved in the Gaza negotiations, but Gaza remains a wasteland. There's been real no progress there. Iran, you were involved in those negotiations. The war is still going on. You've been involved in several rounds of negotiations. In this conflict, it's only getting more intense. So you're relaunching negotiations now. What's the likelihood they will succeed when other negotiations you've been involved in have not? So, Richard, first of all, it's nice to actually see you in person. I've seen you on television for years, but I guess we're usually more domestic, so I don't see you in the flesh. First of all, I think these are some of the hardest problem sets in the world, and I think that you have to try and you have to bring to it. Obviously, Steve and I bring different approaches to these things, but we work very well together as partners. But we're not bringing our approaches. We're really representing President Trump, and we're doing it the way that he wants to see these things done. And working with President Trump in the first term, obviously, we achieved a lot of unthinkable things, whether it was achieving the Abraham Accords, which nobody thought was possible. We achieved the USMCA, the biggest trade deal in history. We made a great deal with China. And the list just goes on and on. We just celebrated the World Cup in America. That was a deal that I led on President Trump's behalf to win for America. The same thing with the Olympics that'll be coming up. So you have to take on hard things. You mentioned Gaza. Right now, a year ago, that war was going on. There were 20 live hostages there and 28 bodies of dead hostages there, and a war that nobody thought was going to be achieved as well. It took a long time. Steve and I worked very hard on that for a while, and then when we found the opening, we were able to use the work that we'd been able to do, both building the relationships and then creating different frameworks for how to achieve that. And then we were able to take advantage of that and drive it to a conclusion, which really ended it. The work that we've done since then, which again is Gaza has not worked for a very, very long time. It was basically built by NGOs and terrorists. And it's been a dystopian place for a long time. And so we've taken our time. We've built an incredible team, again, under President Trump's leadership on the Board of Peace. Now we have a plan to go forward. We've got a UN resolution that put forward progress for that. And there's a new government, a Palestinian technocratic government, that's neither the PA nor Hamas that's built a plan to go forward. You can't go in if there's guns, right? You can't send the government into a place. By the way, we're now starting to understand the scope of the militarization of Gaza. It is beyond your comprehension. And so demilitarizing it is not going to be easy. We worked with Hamas for over four months. You talk about interesting people to be working with. And they signed an agreement saying they were going to demilitarize. We're working through some political issues in Israel. I think we agree with them on the end state. They just have a crazy election. And that makes them a little irrational in certain regards. But we're very determined and we're working through these things. We've also, over the last year, surged more humanitarian aid into the former war zone. I mean, now, in Gaza, we changed the way the aid was done there. Before, I mean, they spent three times the amount per person in Gaza at the UN that they did in Syria for aid. Why? It's because it's become this whole industrial complex of aid. And a lot of it was being stolen to fund a terrorist organization. So we changed the way the aid was done. We flooded aid into Gaza. And now it has one of the lowest malnutrition rates in the world. And so we have a plan to rebuild it. These things take time. These are some of the hardest conflicts. And so the tone of your question was a little bit like, why haven't you done every single impossible thing possible? We are very honored to be able to have the opportunity to work on these under President Trump's leadership. And we're very committed to giving it everything we can. And I think President Trump has a track record of doing impossible things. I think the last administration, they didn't go to Russia. I mean, I think they had one visit with the CIA director. But there's a war. I mean, every day, there are soldiers on the front line from both sides and they want to go home to their families. And there are people in these cities who have bombs dropping and their lives are very disrupted. And they want to see that put to an end. And so if the answer was simple, then somebody would have solved it. But I think President Trump's general framework is that if something is worthy and important, it will have a big impact. He doesn't matter how much he'll get criticized by people in the press or different critics. He wants to go after it. And he's asked Steve and I to do that on his behalf. And obviously with Marco and with the whole team, which we work really very lockstep with. And we'll do our best to try to get an outcome. And so I know that if we don't try, we will not succeed and nothing will change. And it's just important to try. And that's what we're going to try to do. So I can't guarantee that there will be success. But what I can promise you and promise everyone here in Ukraine and even everyone in Russia is that on behalf of President Trump, Steve and I are going to be doing everything we can. You know what Steve's important? I hear people say, you can't say everything's going great and expect people to believe. How about you just tell the truth about what's taking place in the economy because that's not happening. Go ahead. - Okay, let's start with the big one. The median household income in the United States, the people in the exact middle have an income of about $85,000 a year. That's incredible. I mean, in almost every other country in the world, $85,000 is considered rich. So we are doing much better in terms of income than any other family, any other country. Let's look at some of these other ones. How about the fact that we have, I know the stock market is not the economy, but the wealth that is being created in 401(k) plans, retirement plans, we have by far the best stock market. Everybody wants to invest in the USA under Donald Trump. And in fact, the investment numbers are just off the charts. Trump is right. We have trillions of dollars coming into the United States for the first time that is being invested here. We are in a manufacturing book. Did you know that, Mark? We are creating more manufacturing jobs than ever before. We have a construction boom in this country. In fact, if you ask manufacturers and construction companies, they're having a hard time finding the workers to fill all of the jobs. How about the fact that crime recently hit 50 year low in this country under Trump in major cities in the United States because he is a crime fighter? I mean, I could go on and on with these. How about the fact that there are more jobs available in this country, eight million, than there are people to fill them? That's a pretty good problem to have. And it's so true. And let me ask you this. Are Republicans, deaf, dumb, and blind, do they not know how to speak and see and hear? I don't understand. Some of them will be offended by what I'm saying, but they need three, four, five basic talking points. They need to be like a chorus line, like the Democrats and go out there and hit it out of the park. Am I wrong? They've got to celebrate the good news of this economy because we know in November, which is less than two months away, we're gonna be talking about, the whole issue is about affordability. And here's a situation where America, and look, people are angry about food prices and gas prices, I get that. But the overall picture of the US economy is very healthy. And by the way, the states that have the biggest affordability problem in a country, the highest cost of living, you know what states those are? They're Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, California, Connecticut, states that are run by Democrats. The states with the lowest cost of living are states like Alabama and states like Oklahoma and states like Arkansas and Idaho and Utah, states that are run by Republicans. So if you're concerned about affordability, why would you put someone like Gavin Newsom in the White House that can't do anything right in California? - So if you're serious about affordability in the long term, you have to leave some of these states even though it's difficult. - Exactly. - And that's exactly what people are doing, isn't it? - Oh, this is the big story in America, that the center of gravity politically is leaving the Northeast, it's leaving California, it's leaving Washington and Oregon and where people are going to, they're going to the South. You're there in Florida, Florida has grown tremendously under the great leadership of your governor there, DeSantis. But now people are going to the Carolinas, they're going to Alabama. And you know what's really ironic about this, I just wrote a column on this, that it used to be, remember the old Beverly Hillbilly show where they, you know, the Clapits make all their money and they go to Beverly Hills. Now people are leaving California and they're going to Arkansas, Oklahoma, it's the reverse Beverly Hillbillies effect. - I would add one footnote to all this. These big blue states, California, New York, Illinois, you can name them, heavily populated. When you look at overall national numbers, they'd even be better. If these Democrats who drag down these states actually embraced capitalism and lower taxes and job growth and so forth, the entire country would benefit from it. So to say, oh, under the president, these things aren't happening, first things are, secondly, they'd be even better. But for these big states that are dragging us down. The Republican Midterm Convention last night, in Dallas, was a major, sold out hit, far bigger, better, and more important than anyone thought possible. It was really something, streaming all over the place, and really big numbers, despite going up against the NFL. The overall numbers beat the NFL. The Arena, which was really nice, beat its own attendance records. The place was packed! There were thousands of people outside who couldn’t get in. Screens were provided.
