**"Happy Memorial Day to all, including the Dumocrats, who disrespect our Military": the holiday opens with a jab, and ends on terms for Iran's "Nuclear Dust"**

Trump spent Memorial Day in Washington, and he began posting around 6 a.m., hours before the Arlington ceremony. He opened by mocking Republican and Democratic critics of a possible Iran deal. Then he sent a holiday greeting that accused Democrats of disrespecting the military, and his account reposted all three posts about an hour later. The rest of the day was quieter: a note thanking a "Mike" for kind words on Fox, a burst of links to fan accounts, a tariff-praise document and an India event clip. Iran was the one topic he kept coming back to. By evening he was publicly setting terms for Iran's enriched uranium, on a day when US forces also struck Iranian targets during the ceasefire talks.

## Where he was and when he posted

On 2026-05-25 (Memorial Day) Trump was in the Washington area. He took part in the Arlington National Cemetery ceremony, so all times below are EDT (UTC−4). The day had **19 posts**: 14 carry individual analysis and 5 are reposts.

The first post (ts_116632780751574963, Dana White media share) went up at **10:09 PM on May 24**. After it came an eight-hour gap until **6:10 AM**. The last activity was a paired video post and repost at **7:57 PM** (ts_116637923075105654, ts_116637923930386496). An eight-hour overnight gap followed by a ~6 AM start is ordinary for him, and nothing on this day points to sleep loss. The 19-post total is also below the May 2026 average of about 27 a day that the historian tier recorded for his record 861-post month. On volume and timing this was a lighter day than the month around it, and it does not meet a hypomanic threshold.

Activity came in clusters:
- **6:10–8:23 AM:** eleven posts. That is the three written attacks and greetings, a court-filing image, four reposts, the "Mike" note and the long Iran post.
- **8:23–11:25 AM:** no posts. The Arlington ceremony took place in this general window, though the event records give no exact start time.
- **11:25–11:27 AM:** four bare links in three minutes.
- **1:35 PM:** the tariff document image.
- **5:45 PM:** the uranium post.
- **7:57 PM:** the India clip.

## A morning of contempt that was already fading by 6:26 AM

The one post scored for rage came first. In ts_116634668906719597 (6:10 AM) he wrote "I laugh at all of the Dumocrats, RINOS, and Fools who know nothing about the potential deal I am making with Iran." He named Thom Tillis ("Soon out of office!"), Bill Cassidy ("who just suffered a massive Primary loss") and, according to the post commentary, Thomas Massie. "I laugh at" is the voice of someone looking down on critics, not someone stung by them. The post defends a deal before one exists, so any criticism is labeled ignorance ahead of time.

Eight minutes later the Memorial Day greeting (ts_116634703608757444) used the same weapon in a ceremonial form: "Happy Memorial Day to all, including the Dumocrats, who disrespect our Military." The sentence welcomes Democrats and accuses them in the same breath. The remembrance is one clause ("God Bless those that have made the ultimate sacrifice"), and he gives more room to "all of the tremendous success that it has had over the last year," a reference to military results under his own term. By 6:26 AM the tone had turned to a joke with ts_116634733606433479: "The Dumocrats have BAD POLICY, AND BAD CANDIDATES. Other than that, they are doing quite well!"

So the hostility peaked at the first post and dropped over sixteen minutes. There was no rage spiral. The targets were named officials and Democrats as a group. None of it called on followers to act against anyone.

At 7:40–7:41 AM his account reposted all three of those posts (ts_116635026366826956, ts_116635026536663377, ts_116635026701312955), along with a four-image repost of his own account (ts_116635025568002812) whose images are not described. Reposting his own dawn material about an hour and a half later deliberately kept the morning's framing in circulation before the ceremony. The same minute brought ts_116635024735126613, two images with no caption. The one described is the DOJ signature page from a court filing (Case 1:25-cv-04316-RJL, filed 05/24/26, signed for "Counsel for Defendants" under Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche). The case is not named anywhere in the post, so the reason for sharing it can't be read from the post itself.

The historian's event summaries describe the morning as "15+" posts that included AI imagery of himself and a Colbert attack. None of the 19 posts recorded for this date contains a written Colbert reference. The undescribed four-image repost is the only item that could hold such imagery, and that is not established.

## Iran as the thread across the day

Iran was the one subject he returned to, in three written posts spread over nearly twelve hours:

1. **6:10 AM (ts_116634668906719597):** the deal is "potential," made of "things that haven't even been negotiated yet."
2. **8:23 AM (ts_116635193825443617):** "Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely!" He sets a binary: "a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before — And nobody wants that!" According to the commentary, the post also demands that eight Muslim-majority nations sign the Abraham Accords as part of a settlement, citing his Saturday talks with Mohammed bin Salman. A threat of renewed, larger war is the lever, and ceasefire talks were under way. This is one of the day's three elevated-danger ratings.
3. **5:45 PM (ts_116637404995923093):** "The Enriched Uranium (Nuclear Dust!) will either be immediately turned over to the United States to be brought home and destroyed or, preferably, in conjunction and coordination with the Islamic Republic of Iran, destroyed in place." The label "Nuclear Dust!" makes weapons-grade material sound trivial. The offer of a cooperative path keeps the tone controlled, but it is still a public ultimatum on a live negotiating point.

There is a small mismatch between the first two. At 6:10 AM the substance "hasn't even been negotiated yet." Two hours later negotiations are "proceeding nicely," with specific conditions attached. Both can be true of early-stage talks, so the conflict is minor. It does show him describing the same process as unformed when he is fending off critics and as advanced when he is announcing terms.

The external context matters for the evening post. CENTCOM announced "self-defense" strikes on Iranian mine-laying boats and missile sites that day. The historian records them as coming hours after Trump said talks were moving forward, and Iran called them a ceasefire violation. The uranium post came after that, and it does not mention the strikes. Nothing in the post text shows it was a response to them. Its tone, an arbiter offering terms, reads more like pushing ahead than defending.

## Seeking praise between the Iran posts

Most of the day's other posts were about taking in praise or passing it along:

- **12:04 AM? No — 8:04 AM (ts_116635119382599342):** "Mike: Thank you for your nice words on Fox. We are on the same path. Keep up the great work. Good luck on the Show!" Media coverage read this as a private message to Speaker Mike Johnson posted by mistake, and it revived talk about his cognitive health. The post alone doesn't settle that. "Good luck on the Show!" fits a broadcaster better than the Speaker, and the authorship score (0.55) leaves room for staff. The public-DM format is the day's one real oddity, but it doesn't show confusion unless the addressee and intent are known.
- **11:25–11:27 AM:** four bare Truth Social links, three to "IStandWithTrump47" (ts_116635910005926618, ts_116635913209650795, ts_116635914092231106) and one to "dpritsky" (ts_116635915970716365). None of the linked content was retrieved. What can be said is that he chose a fan account whose name is a pledge of loyalty, three times in a row, shortly after the Arlington window.
- **1:35 PM (ts_116636418903333996):** three images, the first headed "TARIFFS BUILT AMERICA; TRUMP IS 100% RIGHT!", a "Dr. Savage Livestream Transcript" from February 2025.
- **7:57 PM (ts_116637923075105654 and repost ts_116637923930386496):** a clip from an India-related event. A caller identified as "Mr. President" says "I love India, I love India… I love the Prime Minister, he's great, he's my friend," and mentions "Sergio," who must be "representative of our country." The transcript is the clip's own words, and who is speaking isn't certain, so it shows what he chose to share and not what he composed.
- **10:09 PM on May 24 (ts_116632780751574963):** "The voice and genius of the great Dana White (UFC!)."

These posts are low intensity and consistent with his usual pattern. They are also most of the day by count, which is why the average intensity stays low despite the hostile opening.

## How the day holds together

The day has a clear shape, though not a redemption or contamination arc. It opens with contempt aimed at domestic critics and a holiday greeting turned into an insult. After the ceremony comes a long stretch of taking in praise, and it ends with two statements positioning him as the one who decides Iran's terms. The grandiose register holds throughout. It shows up as scorn at dawn ("I laugh at"), then as self-image through others ("TRUMP IS 100% RIGHT!"), then as issuing an ultimatum ("will either be immediately turned over"). The one image-only post scored mixed (the court filing) scores that way because there's so little to read, not because his mood shifted.

On thinking and syntax, the long posts are run-on but hold together, which is his baseline. The uranium post names an "Atomic Energy Commission, or its equivalent" in place of the IAEA. That fits his usual vagueness about international bodies, not a new word-finding problem. The "Mike" note is the only sign that could suggest a slip, and it is ambiguous. Complexity stays level from the 8:23 AM Iran post to the 5:45 PM one.

On danger, the day's ceiling comes from the Iran posts, which publicly threaten war "bigger and stronger than ever before" during talks. The first post's list of named officials adds to it. None of the posts names a target for supporters, uses dehumanizing language or hints at violence against a domestic figure. There is no pattern of indirect incitement.

### Narrative

Memorial Day started before dawn with Trump laughing at Republican and Democratic critics of a possible Iran deal. A holiday greeting followed that folded in an accusation that Democrats disrespect the military, and his account reposted all three posts about an hour later. After a quiet stretch around the Arlington ceremony, the day turned to praise: a thank-you note to a "Mike" that looked like a private message, links to fan accounts, a document calling his tariffs "100% right," and a clip from an India event. Iran ran through the whole day. He moved from calling the deal un-negotiated, to saying talks were going nicely with war as the alternative, to evening terms for Iran's uranium, which he called "Nuclear Dust," all while US strikes on Iranian targets were reported.

### Dominant themes

- Iran negotiations and ultimatums (1 post)
- 'Dumocrats' and GOP dissenters attacked (1 post)
- Praise received and fan-account amplification (1 post)
- Memorial Day and military credit (1 post)

### Contradictions that day

- [ts_116634668906719597](https://trump.fm/post/ts_116634668906719597): The Iran deal involves 'things that haven't even been negotiated yet'
vs. [ts_116635193825443617](https://trump.fm/post/ts_116635193825443617): 'Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely!', with specific conditions attached

### Cognitive concerns

- An apparent direct message ('Mike: Thank you for your nice words on Fox… Good luck on the Show!') posted publicly; the addressee and intent are unconfirmed
- Vague name for an international body ('Atomic Energy Commission, or its equivalent' in place of the IAEA), consistent with his baseline
- Run-on, chain-clause syntax in the long Iran posts, coherent and within baseline

> A screenshot of a text document/transcript page. The title reads "TARIFFS BUILT AMERICA; TRUMP IS 100% RIGHT! – From February 11th, 2025 –" followed by "Dr. Savage Livestream Transcript" as a subheading. Below is a block of body text (page numbered "1" at bottom right) presenting commentary praising Trump's tariff policy, framing tariffs on steel and aluminum as historically consistent with America's past, criticizing Democrats/Marxists for opposing privatization, and referencing Peter Navarro's imprisonment and his support for tariffs.

Text in the image: "TARIFFS BUILT AMERICA; TRUMP IS 100 % RIGHT! – From February 11th, 2025 – Dr. Savage Livestream Transcript We all are hearing about tariffs today, tariffs, tariffs, tariffs, and intuitively we say it's a good thing, but some people are saying, well, maybe not, maybe it's going to trigger a trade war. Why is he raising tariffs on aluminum and steel imports? What's going on? Is it a new golden age for American steel and aluminum? What's going on out there? Now, I thought it's worth talking about because it's not self-evident, and we have to study it. And before I talk about tariffs today on the Savage Nation, I hope you like my red outfit with my red Savage Nation hat, before we talk about that, I want to start with something long forgotten down the memory hole is America's former private road system. It's very important that you have to listen to this, because anything with a private component is off the table for Marxists, no matter how much it might help those middle-class working people that the left claims to care so much about. Republicans want to privatize everything, and Democrats want to socialize everything. The Democrats won't even listen to a suggestion to give the private sector a crack at anything. Neither will a lot of Republicans, for that matter. This despite everyone acknowledging that the government has failed on virtually every level. So Trump is now passing what is common sense, and you'll find out today that it's not so novel. Tariffs were part of this country from the beginning. But we know that Trump substantially raised tariffs on steel and aluminum just recently. It was just Monday to a flat 25%. He said without exceptions or exemptions. He wants to aid struggling industries in the United States, but it also sparks what? A trade war? No, I don't think it'll spark a trade war. In fact, the best article on this topic was written by Peter Navarro, who incidentally was put in prison by Biden and his gang for many things he didn't do, but no doubt because he was certainly in favor 1"

**Image 2** (document), described automatically; these are a machine's words about the picture, not the poster's:

> This is a screenshot/scan of a printed document page (page 2 of a multi-page document), showing a block of body text with no images, photos, or graphics. The text is a statement or transcript discussing Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs, framing them as part of an "America First" policy, crediting Trump with reinstating 2018-era tariffs, and blaming Biden-era policy along with China, Russia, Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, and Australia for undermining U.S. steel and aluminum industries through subsidies, transshipment, and import surges. It cites specific statistics (domestic steel capacity utilization at 74%, an 80% sustainable threshold, aluminum production down 30%, smelter utilization near 50%) and references a Canadian government subsidy to "Acellar Maital's" facilities and a Century Aluminum smelter idling in "Horsville, Kentucky" in June 2022.

Text in the image: "of America first. aluminum and steel are not just pillars of the domestic economy, but they're foundational to our national security. They're very important, and that's why Trump signed proclamations, pardon me, to restore and strengthen the Section 232 tariffs he boldly implemented in 2018. He's going back to what he did in 2018 all over again. What he wants to do is save the steel industry. He wants to save us from what Biden did to us. Leveraging Biden's weaknesses, China and Russia, would trans-ship steel through Mexico and Canada? Japan, amidst its declining domestic demand, would target the American market with high-value specialty steel products that undercut U.S. producers. Canada's government put nearly a billion dollars into Acellar Maital's facilities, and what they did was they transitioned their outdated blast furnaces into modern direct-reduced iron-electric arc furnaces to create better steel at lower prices. These massive government subsidies in Canada gave Canada's national steel champion an unfair competitive advantage over our own steel companies. I can tell you more about it, including what Mexico did to us under Biden. I can tell you what South Korea did to us under Biden. But you need to know the bottom line. What are tariffs and how do they work and who pays for them? Do you know that domestic steel capacity utilization has dangerously dropped to 74% well below the sustainable 80% threshold that we need to make sure that we can make enough steel for our military and national defense in general. America's aluminum producers have been equally hard hit. Australia has doubled its primary aluminum exports to the U.S., while foreign competitors including adversaries like China and Russia aggressively have used transshipment loopholes through Mexico and Canada to evade and circumvent tariffs. That is why Trump acted this week to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum. As imports have surged, domestic aluminum production has fallen by 30%. Listen to this carefully. Smelter utilization rates have dropped to nearly 50%. In June of 2022, who was president then? In June of 2022, Century aluminum idled its Horsville, Kentucky smelter. Alcoa announced 2"

**Image 3** (screenshot), described automatically; these are a machine's words about the picture, not the poster's:

> A screenshot of a page (numbered "3" at bottom) from a printed document or transcript, containing plain black text on a white background about steel and aluminum tariffs. The text discusses smelter closures, Trump's reinstated 25% steel tariff and increased aluminum tariff, transshipment through Canada/Mexico, derivative product tariff evasion by China/Russia, and an accusation that Ukraine ships semi-finished steel through Poland to avoid Section 232 tariffs and anti-dumping duties, name-checking Zelensky.

Text in the image: "the permanent closure of its Washington state in Talco smelter. In March of 2023, while magnitude 7 medals in Missouri curtailed operations at its New Madrid smelter in early 2024, it's one thing after another. The country was dying under Biden, and it all reduced the number of active primary aluminum producers in the U .S. So to strengthen and reinvigorate our pillar steel and aluminum industries, President Trump has reinstated the across -the -board 25 % tariff on steel imports and raise the aluminum tariff from 10 % to 25 % while eliminating all country specific exemptions and alternative agreements. You've got to hear about China and Russia, because they and other foreign nations, including some you never heard of, were using Canada and Mexico as transshipment hubs. The Trump 2 .0 tariffs are going to ensure that all imports, regardless of their processing location, are going to be subject to tariffs through the use of North American melt and poor and smelt and cast standards for steel and aluminum, respectively. I think you've got the picture. Trump is 100 % right, okay? The Trump 2 .0 tariffs cracked down on the shell game of using derivative products to evade tariffs. Countries like China, Russia, and others now ship semi -finished steel or aluminum into Mexico, into Canada, or the EU, where it is lightly processed, and then they get around it. Now, here's the kicker. Before I go on this topic, you're not going to believe this. You're ready for this one? Ukraine, corrupt Ukraine, corrupt Ukraine, which can't account for $100 billion of tax dollars, sends semi -finished steel to be processed in Poland, where it is exported as a derivative product to the United States, thereby avoiding Section 232 tariffs and anti -dumping duties. That's your friend Zelensky. That's what's another subtext of this whole story that's going on. So you've got to understand the U .S. Customs and Border Protection will make sure there is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide for the tariff of aiders. We're going to be stronger and we're going to be wealthier thanks to Donald Trump."

> Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely! It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before — And nobody wants that! During my discussions on Saturday with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of The United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali al-Thawadi, of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Türkiye, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, of Egypt, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, I stated that, after all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together,  it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords. Those Countries discussed are Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (already a Member!), Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain (already a Member!). It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be. The Abraham Accords have proven to be, for the Countries involved (The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan), a Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM, even during this time of Conflict and War, with the current Members never even suggesting leaving, or taking so much as even a pause. The reason for this is that the Abraham Accords have been great for them, and will be even better for everybody, and bring true Power, Strength, and Peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years. It will be a Document respected like no other that has ever been signed, anywhere in the World. Its level of Importance and Prestige will be unparalleled! It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention. In speaking to numerous of the Great Leaders mentioned above, they would be honored, as soon as our Document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords. Wow, now that would be something special! This will be the most important Deal that any of these Great, but always in Conflict Countries, will ever sign. Nothing in the past, or in the future, will surpass it. Therefore, I am mandatorily requesting that all Countries immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and that, if Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition. The Middle East would be United, Powerful, and Economically Strong, like perhaps no other area, anywhere in the World! By copy of this TRUTH, I am asking my Representatives to begin, and successfully complete, the process of signing these Countries into the already Historic Abraham Accords. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

> RT @realDonaldTrump I laugh at all of the Dumocrats, RINOS, and Fools who know nothing about the potential deal I am making with Iran, things that haven’t even been negotiated yet, weak and ineffective people like failed Senator Thom Tillis (Soon out of office!), Bill Cassidy, who just suffered a massive Primary loss, really bad Congressman Thomas Massie, a major sleazebag who lost in a landslide to a great American Patriot (Endorsed by “TRUMP”) after showing tremendous disloyalty to his Party (and Country!), and almost all Dumocrats, people that have totally lost their way, constantly supporting bad policy and even worse candidates, but are constantly critical of each and every fantastic win I have. These people should go home and rest, they do nothing but create division and loss. In other words, they are losers! The deal with Iran will either be a great and meaningful one, or there will be no deal. It will be the exact opposite of the JCPOA disaster negotiated by the failed Obama Administration, which was a direct and open path to a Nuclear Weapon for Iran. No, I don’t do deals like that! President DJT

> The voice and genius of the great Dana White (UFC!). Thank you Dana! President DJT

**Video transcript** (1:35), transcribed automatically, so names and numbers may be wrong. Speakers aren't identified, so a voice in it may not be his:

> For 250 years, this country has been defended by warriors. Men and women willing to go first, willing to take the risk, willing to do what others want. We honor the warriors of the past, the pioneers who pushed into the unknown, who changed the way wars were fought and helped shape the strength of a nation. We recognize the warriors of the present, the ones who carry that legacy right now. The people who show up every day, put in the work, and stand ready when this country needs them the most. And we look to the future, searching for the next ones ready to raise their hand, take that oath, and become part of something bigger than themselves. Because that fighting spirit doesn't belong to one generation, it gets passed down, earned, carried forward. This is a tribute to 250 years of American warriors, and the ones who will carry that legacy into the future. Fight. Fight. Win.
