Are they going to convict Donald Trump? I'm the candidate in the race who has the experience with Donald Trump. I was the chief deputy in the attorney general's office. We sued the Trump administration over a hundred times for the Muslim travel ban, for family separation at the border, for shenanigans with the census. So I know how to litigate with him. I also led the team that did the Trump Foundation case. So I'm ready to go wherever the facts take me and to inherit that case. And I think it'd be hard to argue with the fact that that'd be the most important, most high profile case. And I've seen him up front and seen the lawlessness that he can do. And you believe it should happen? I believe we have to hold him accountable. So yeah, you are right. We got two standards of justice, Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein. Being a rich old white man has allowed you to fade accountability in Manhattan. That includes Trump and his children. So I've seen a pattern of lawlessness over 20 years. And so I'm inclined to believe all I see in the public domain and know that there's, and believe that there's a path forward there to make a case.

I think you would agree that the case, at least as it's been described in the leaks to The New York Times, The Washington Post, seems ridiculous. Do you is there any indication there's coordination with the with the Biden White House or DOJ on this? Well, look, Tucker, thanks for having me. Two of my partners are involved in this case on the President Trump side. And have been meeting with the prosecutors here. So most of what we've been able to divine about this case has been by reading the entrails that is The New York Times, which is the favorite source to leak to of New York law enforcement. And so we don't know exactly what they're aiming for. But as we can see from Robert Costello's statements just now, it appears to be divorced from what the facts are and more about what the agenda is. And so this prosecution, if it comes through, is absolutely baseless. It's ludicrous. It has been rejected not only by the FEC, as you mentioned, but also by federal prosecutors and also by prior prosecutors of New York State. So this is really well past its sell by date. A, it does not fly in court. It is frivolous. And what you are looking at really, Tucker, is the mother of all election interference here, like you said in your lead into this segment. And so what I can also say is that prosecutors are meant to do not just what they can get away with in court, but they're meant to do justice. And is this justice? So there are apparently at least 10 prosecutors sitting in the room yesterday or last week, rather, when this presentation was made. So that's the amount of manpower that they're putting to hear from lawyers, hear from witnesses at the same time in New York when the real status is absolutely falling apart there. So I hope for the sake of this country and for the sake of the citizens and voters confidence in our legal system that this doesn't come to pass because it will absolutely be catastrophic for public confidence and for the rule of law in this country. And it's really historic this moment that we're facing. It is. It's historic. It's not necessarily good history that is being made. It's not that I oppose the indictment of a former president. I don't even oppose the indictment of a sitting president on a constitutional basis. But this indictment, if it is reportedly following the theories that we've been talking about, is political. It's a raw political prosecution. Now the indictment may come out with a crime that none of us have heard of. But for many months, this bootstrapping theory has been put out there. This idea that you could take a misdemeanor under New York law that has expired, that has a two-year statute of limitations, and revive it by connecting it to a federal crime, in this case, the federal election violation. Now there's a host of problems with that. First of all, it's a federal crime the Department of Justice chose not to prosecute. Bragg's own predecessor declined to prosecute. But he is attempting to bootstrap that federal crime into a state case. And if that is the basis for the indictment, I think it's rather outrageous. I think it's legally pathetic.
