You have been involved in numerous negotiations around the world. Why should people have any confidence in your capacity to succeed here? You were involved in the Gaza negotiations, but Gaza remains a wasteland. There's been real no progress there. Iran, you were involved in those negotiations. The war is still going on. You've been involved in several rounds of negotiations. In this conflict, it's only getting more intense. So you're relaunching negotiations now. What's the likelihood they will succeed when other negotiations you've been involved in have not? So, Richard, first of all, it's nice to actually see you in person. I've seen you on television for years, but I guess we're usually more domestic, so I don't see you in the flesh. First of all, I think these are some of the hardest problem sets in the world, and I think that you have to try and you have to bring to it. Obviously, Steve and I bring different approaches to these things, but we work very well together as partners. But we're not bringing our approaches. We're really representing President Trump, and we're doing it the way that he wants to see these things done. And working with President Trump in the first term, obviously, we achieved a lot of unthinkable things, whether it was achieving the Abraham Accords, which nobody thought was possible. We achieved the USMCA, the biggest trade deal in history. We made a great deal with China. And the list just goes on and on. We just celebrated the World Cup in America. That was a deal that I led on President Trump's behalf to win for America. The same thing with the Olympics that'll be coming up. So you have to take on hard things. You mentioned Gaza. Right now, a year ago, that war was going on. There were 20 live hostages there and 28 bodies of dead hostages there, and a war that nobody thought was going to be achieved as well. It took a long time. Steve and I worked very hard on that for a while, and then when we found the opening, we were able to use the work that we'd been able to do, both building the relationships and then creating different frameworks for how to achieve that. And then we were able to take advantage of that and drive it to a conclusion, which really ended it. The work that we've done since then, which again is Gaza has not worked for a very, very long time. It was basically built by NGOs and terrorists. And it's been a dystopian place for a long time. And so we've taken our time. We've built an incredible team, again, under President Trump's leadership on the Board of Peace. Now we have a plan to go forward. We've got a UN resolution that put forward progress for that. And there's a new government, a Palestinian technocratic government, that's neither the PA nor Hamas that's built a plan to go forward. You can't go in if there's guns, right? You can't send the government into a place. By the way, we're now starting to understand the scope of the militarization of Gaza. It is beyond your comprehension. And so demilitarizing it is not going to be easy. We worked with Hamas for over four months. You talk about interesting people to be working with. And they signed an agreement saying they were going to demilitarize. We're working through some political issues in Israel. I think we agree with them on the end state. They just have a crazy election. And that makes them a little irrational in certain regards. But we're very determined and we're working through these things. We've also, over the last year, surged more humanitarian aid into the former war zone. I mean, now, in Gaza, we changed the way the aid was done there. Before, I mean, they spent three times the amount per person in Gaza at the UN that they did in Syria for aid. Why? It's because it's become this whole industrial complex of aid. And a lot of it was being stolen to fund a terrorist organization. So we changed the way the aid was done. We flooded aid into Gaza. And now it has one of the lowest malnutrition rates in the world. And so we have a plan to rebuild it. These things take time. These are some of the hardest conflicts. And so the tone of your question was a little bit like, why haven't you done every single impossible thing possible? We are very honored to be able to have the opportunity to work on these under President Trump's leadership. And we're very committed to giving it everything we can. And I think President Trump has a track record of doing impossible things. I think the last administration, they didn't go to Russia. I mean, I think they had one visit with the CIA director. But there's a war. I mean, every day, there are soldiers on the front line from both sides and they want to go home to their families. And there are people in these cities who have bombs dropping and their lives are very disrupted. And they want to see that put to an end. And so if the answer was simple, then somebody would have solved it. But I think President Trump's general framework is that if something is worthy and important, it will have a big impact. He doesn't matter how much he'll get criticized by people in the press or different critics. He wants to go after it. And he's asked Steve and I to do that on his behalf. And obviously with Marco and with the whole team, which we work really very lockstep with. And we'll do our best to try to get an outcome. And so I know that if we don't try, we will not succeed and nothing will change. And it's just important to try. And that's what we're going to try to do. So I can't guarantee that there will be success. But what I can promise you and promise everyone here in Ukraine and even everyone in Russia is that on behalf of President Trump, Steve and I are going to be doing everything we can. We have been doing everything we can to try and find a way out of a mess that was created before President Trump's time, which has had a huge toll. Very targeted operation. So the way we did it, moving in and out every two days, going to different parts of the state, we didn't get the open border advocates time to gather up and interfere and spit on officers and get their YouTube moments today, send out in the media and misidentify an ICE officer and what they're doing. So it was a good operation. And like I said, well-targeted operation, it's actually closer to 2,200 aliens arrested in 30 days. So for those who say targeted enforcement operation don't work, this is an example of what does, 'cause in June of this year, ICE made a broken historic record and they arrested more illegal aliens in the month of June than any time in the history of the agency. July, they broke June's number. And yesterday I saw the numbers, August, a brand new historic number of number of aliens ICE is arresting. They're breaking records every month. - So for all the people that are saying that ICE is not moving, doing deportations, that's just not true based on the numbers, huh? - Record number of arrests, historic record numbers arrest, historic number of deportations. ICE is sitting on all cylinders and they're doing what the president promised American people, promises made, promises kept, most secure border in the history of the nation and record number of his immigration arrests and deportations. - So Tom, not everyone is happy about this. You got Hochul, the governor, and Mandami saying this. - We notify ICE that these individuals are about to be released and they should be deported. That's always been our policy for decades. You know what? Sometimes they don't even show up. ICE doesn't even do their job, they don't care. So I'm not buying what they're selling here. - What we are seeing, however, from ICE is an attempt to criminalize the very fact of being an immigrant. And we are seeing a terrorizing of immigrants across our city and frankly, across our nation. - First take on what Hochul said that ICE isn't showing up to pick up the criminals. And then Mandami says that you guys are just targeting foreigners in this kind of terrorizing them. - Look, you know, but first of all, Hochul's lying, Stone Cold lie, this past year, over 13,000 detainers weren't honored. So she says she cares about working with ICE on criminal alien public safety threats, 13,000 detainers that weren't honored. And also, she just signed legislation that says local law enforcement can't work with us. She ended a 287(g) programs and she no longer lets us, allows us to rent beds from local sheriffs. So these, you know, the 2,200 aliens we arrested, many of them we moved out of state. Immediately, we don't have a bed here in the state. And finally, I'll tell her this, listen to your own sheriffs. You got 15 sheriffs in the state suing you over this legislation that you just signed. These are career law enforcement officers that know their community better than she does. And she says, this is about local law enforcement doing, you know, keeping their neighborhood safe. 15 of her own sheriffs are suing her 'cause they're saying this makes communities less safe. As far as Mandami, look, I'm an equal opportunity deporter. I don't care where you're from. I don't care, you know, I don't care what country you're from. If you got an order of removal issued by an immigration judge, you're gonna go home. - Tom, you've sat with families that were victims of sanctuary city policies. There was a hearing yesterday about this very thing. And this is how one of the Democrats on that committee responded. Let's play it. - Ms. Fox, Mr. Coleman, I am just deeply, deeply sorry about what happened to your children. It is unimaginable. And I thank you for being brave enough to come here and testify today. I wanna just say, as Mr. Raskin pointed out, that we're here again talking about sanctuary cities. And we do have a bill that passed out of this committee and hasn't been brought to the floor. And so I am confused about that, why we're having another hearing on something where we have active legislation. - Why are we having another hearing on this? Can you believe that? We got dead Americans, victims, people that are paralyzed as a result of illegal aliens not being able to drive. - I've talked to hundreds, literally hundreds of angel moms and dads who buried their children because their children were killed by illegal aliens. Congress needs to do something. I mean, sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals. I think most American people support what ICE is doing. If you're in the country legally, which is a crime, you're in the country and you commit offense against your citizen, they should be on the table for all law enforcement. Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals. And in all, if you let ICE agents into the safety and security of the jail, like this New York operation, we got quite a few collaterals. Why is that? 'Cause I told Governor Hochul, if you lock us out of the jails, now we gotta go to the streets and find the bad guy, and when we find the bad guy, or we're in process of finding the bad guy, we won't find others. Others, they may not be a public safety threat put in their country illegally. Sanctuary cities make communities less safe. They make our officers' jobs more dangerous. And it's also more dangerous for the illegal aliens 'cause anything can happen on street arrests. So Congress needs to finally do something about sanctuary cities. It's unlawful, DOJ suing. President Trump's taking on sanctuary cities. Look, again, President Trump gave the American people what he promised he'd give 'em. We have the most secure border in Lawrence. You've been on it many times. It has never been this secure. - It hasn't been that secure. And when the President sent you to Minneapolis to take control of this operation, the entire trajectory changed. And that's credit to the President and credit to your experience as well, Tom. Look, as the president has said all along, the people of Iran, the citizens of Iran have an obligation to chart the future that they feel is best and right for themselves. But again, to the underlying point that we've been discussing, there are individuals with the military and otherwise who obviously want to be opponents and obstacles to peace. People talk about President's health going back to the founding of the country. How do you see it knowing you're not a medical professional? How do you see his health, his energy at this age? -Yeah, so first of all, if this is airing on June 14th, the most important day today is not the President's birthday. It's happy anniversary to my lovely wife, so this is our, I guess, 12th wedding anniversary. But, you know, my sense of the President's health is that it's off the charts good. His focus, his energy, his constant grinding. I mean, the presidency is a crazy job. You constantly have, you know, more than a dozen cabinet secretaries. You have every particular crisis that comes up. They're coming to you at all hours of the night. And the joke that I have with Scott Besant, our Treasury Secretary, is we get to call it 2.30 in the morning, and it's the President. And he's like, "Were you awake?" And it's like, "Yes, sir, I'm always awake at 2.30 a.m." And that's been my sense of the President, is that he's constantly going. I think that he feels a sense of, you know, if you're lucky, you get eight years in that job. He's one of the lucky ones. But eight years is not that long, and he's trying to make every single day count, so he's constantly pushing everybody to do as much as possible. So I think he's in great health. I think, you know, you see people, the media constantly talking about that. I guess this is just something the media is gonna talk about. But from what I've seen, I've literally never once thought to myself, he doesn't have the stamina or the energy to do this job. - Never once. - If anything, not once. If anything, he's got more stamina and energy than a lot of people in the cabinet who are 30 years his junior. And I think that's a good thing, 'cause you want a President who is able to do that grind every single day.

He's leaned in and tried to get clear rules and regulations passed so that American companies can thrive, American consumers can earn more money on their money. And he understands also it's an important political issue. There's a huge base, there's like 52 million Americans who've used crypto now, and they want to see clear rules. They want to see this, you know, get better financial services in the United States. It's also, frankly, a global competitiveness issue, right? I mean, China just announced that they're going to pay interest on their central bank digital currency. Some of the largest stablecoin issuers are still offshore. He wants to repatriate that capital and bring it into the U.S.
