Next we take a tanker and now we've got 2 million barrels of free oil. They don't have any way to come out ahead in the blockade game. They're wrong if they can think they can wait President Trump out and if he has to start breaking some more of their stuff to emphasize the point, we have plenty of ways to do that. They have nothing but maybe an opportunity to attack a ship trying to transit the strait. >> And they don't have a lot of time left. You heard Bessin say these oil wells, they're going to fill up and they're going to have to shuttle production soon. Anything the president blows up right now causes damage for the Iranian people and he's got the opportunity, there was a point there where I guess the defeat mongers thought they were going to convince the world that President Trump had to stop this because of the pressure. We can absorb some short term oil price jumps and the political pressure at home is not going to change President Trump's calculation. He can beat them at this game. The fewer things he blows up from here going forward, the better, but they shouldn't think for a second, he will not give them an object lesson in how to make the rubble bounce. >> And the United States and Israel have been accumulating so much intelligence over the last two weeks that whatever fighting does break out will end pretty quickly. Is that your understanding? >> Yeah, we've got all of their people identified. If we wanted to, we could take out another layer of their leadership again, but we need somebody to go ahead and quasi surrender whatever this ends up being. So if they want to try and I mean, they can't fight in the normal use of that word. They can cause damage, they can be a terrorist state breaking other people's things, but they can't take us on force. And if they want to go ahead and let the IRGC take a run at being the heads of a military as opposed to a theocracy, that will be a very short-lived event.

If you go apply for a visa right now, anywhere in the world, let me just send this message out. If you apply for a visa to enter the United States and be a student, and you tell us that the reason why you're coming to the United States is not just because you want to write op-eds, but because you want to participate in movements that are involved in doing things like vandalizing universities, harassing students, taking over buildings, creating a ruckus, we're not going to give you a visa. If you lie to us and get a visa and then enter the United States and with that visa participate in that sort of activity, we're going to take away your visa. And once you've lost your visa, you're no longer legally in the United States, and we have a right, like every country in the world has a right, to remove you from our country. So it's just that simple. I think it's crazy. I think it's stupid. For any country in the world to welcome people into their country, they're going to go to your universities as visitors. They're visitors and say, "I'm going to your universities to start a riot. I'm going to your universities to take over a library and harass people. I don't care what movement you're involved in." Why would any country in the world allow people to come and disrupt? We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree, not to become a social activist that tears up our university campuses. And if we've given you a visa and then you decide to do that, we're going to take it away. I encourage every country to do that, by the way, because I think it's crazy to invite students into your country that are coming onto your campus and destabilizing it. We're just not going to have it. So we'll revoke your visa, and once your visa's revoked, you're illegally in the country and you have to leave. Every country in the world has a right to decide who comes in as a visitor and who doesn't. If you invite me into your home, because you say, "I want to come to your house for dinner, and I go to your house and I start putting mud on your couch and spray painting your kitchen, I bet you you're going to kick me out." And that's how the mother of Sheridan Gorman, the young, loyal university student slain last year by an illegal alien, clearly feels. She testified on Capitol Hill today. And when Democrats, by the way, are forced to confront the consequences of their beliefs and their policies, they either try to change the subject, cry racism, or just disrupt the speaker, which is what happened today on Capitol Hill, on sanctuary cities, where their hearing was taking place all about that issue even before Mrs. Gorman spoke. -The same outrage you feel about Renee Goode and Alex Prettie, you should feel about Sheridan Gorman and Lincoln Riley and every angel family in this country. -I do feel that outrage. -You do not, because if you did, you would not support -- -Do you feel be outraged about Alex Prettie and Renee Goode? -You should be ashamed of yourself, maybe. -You don't go on this committee. You should get the hell out of here. You don't understand the rules of the committee. You don't understand the Constitution. -You're a disgraceful of it. -Mr. Raskin. -You're absolutely full of disgrace, supporting sanctuary policies. -Say one word about it. -Get rid of, say one word about Alex Prettie and Renee Goode. -I did. This is the fourth -- This is the fourth time you've had angel families. Thanks for telling me you don't care. -Well, liberals do care. They care about power. That's it. Gorman's daughter, to them, was just collateral damage. -I need you to think about what these policies are, and I need you to imagine this is your daughter, because I'm very sure you won't be cutting off anyone when they're speaking. You won't -- I'd be very sure you won't call this a political stunt. The grief is real. Every day, I wake up with unimaginable pain. You know what I -- You know what I wake up in the middle of the night, and I think, "Did my daughter cry for me?" She made it 40 feet. She made it 40 feet, running for her life. Did she cry out for me? She died on that pavement all by herself, lonely, bleeding on that pavement, and I will never, ever rest. I actually have to say that I am devastated. -So, she came to Washington with, obviously, her story, but a very simple question. Why are American families like hers always the ones put in the backseat left behind? -I challenge the world to sit down with me, take my hand, look me in the eye, and then explain to me, because I just don't understand. Explain why people here illegally matter more than your American citizens. Explain why sanctuary policies matter more than my Sheridan's life. Explain why cooperation with ICE was too much to ask for. -But asking our American parents to bury our children is somehow acceptable. I want you to imagine that was your daughter, not mine. What if she was yours? Would you even hesitate for one second to act, to make changes? -Remember, this was Chicago, Brandon Johnson, the mayor. But do you think he even watched this today? I doubt it. But Jessica Gorman's words were more powerful than anything that has ever come or will come out of the mouths of the squad members. -No family should ever have to bury a child, because public officials fail to put American lives first. I'm just asking you to choose us. We choose you. We choose you. Choose us. Why does my child matter less than a legal immigrant? Why? -And then earlier in the day, at the Supreme Court, the unfortunate decision handed down that we all feared was coming. In a gut punch to the weary public, five justices on the Supreme Court, including President Trump's last appointee, Amy Coney Barrett, upheld the constitutional right to so-called birthright citizenship. In the majority opinion, the Chief Justice wrote, "If Congress intended to limit American citizenship to the children of those domiciled in the United States, nothing in the succinct language of the citizenship clause conveyed that design." Words appearing frequently in the executive order -- mother, father, lawful, temporary -- are absent from the clause for a simple reason. They did not matter. Now, President Trump told us who we thought the winner was in all this, and a post on "True Social" earlier today. He said, "I would like to congratulate President Xi and the great country of China on their massive birthright citizenship win." Well, Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, called the ruling "one of the most destructive and outrageous decisions in the long history of the Supreme Court," adding that, "American citizenship is not the birthright of the world." Now, over the years, the angle has exposed various birth tourism rackets where foreigners travel here for the sole purpose of having their child on U.S. soil and ultimately getting the passports. Unscrupulous Chinese birth motels operating on the east and west coasts even have midwives who help deliver the babies, than others who help streamline the infant's passport application. A few years ago, we learned about a group in Southern California that ironically called itself USA Happy Baby. It assisted several hundred women who traveled from China to give birth to U.S. citizen babies. -19 people are now charged in this birth tourism investigation that began in 2015 with raids on an upscale apartment complex east of downtown Los Angeles. There, investigators say pregnant Chinese women were being charged anywhere from $40,000 to $80,000 for food, lodging, and transportation until their babies were born on U.S. soil and therefore qualified for citizenship. -Now, frankly, this has been happening for decades. And after today's decision, the DOJ says it will now launch a new crackdown on birth tourism. Well, that's all well and good, and we'll ask the vice president about it, but it still doesn't change the fact that in light of today's ruling, any child born here will become an American citizen, which is a point that Justice Alito made in his dissent. And Justice Thomas, in his 91-page dissent -- it was a barn burner -- he excoriated the majority for what he called the repurposing of the 14th Amendment away from its original focus of securing equal citizenship for freed slaves. And he wrote now to protect its own set of preferred rights that the Reconstruction Congress never contemplated and that cannot find support in its text. He continued, "He's not sure that today's opinion will stand the test of time." Well, let's hope it doesn't. But between now and then, a lot of damage will be done to America. Back in 2023, Pew Research reported that 320,000, or 9% of U.S. births, were of mothers that were illegal immigrants or people who only had temporary legal status -- 320,000. Now, that number, I predict, will balloon after this decision. But think about it this way. If only we had two political parties in Congress devoted to protecting us, to protecting our citizenship in our country's national security. If we had that, well, we could leapfrog the court and amend the Constitution, make it really clear for all those five justices, there's no confusion. But as things stand, the Republican Senate is so lame, let's face it, that it can't even pass the Save America Act when 80% of the country favor its key provisions. This morning, the Speaker Mike Johnson was rightly furious. -I'm sure the conclusion from this opinion is gonna be that you gotta have a -- you gotta amend the Constitution to fix that. It's a big challenge to amend the Constitution. It's only happened 27 times in our whole nation's history. -By the way, that's Mike Johnson, furious. Keeps it cool. So the voters need to light up their phone lines, their senators' phone lines, force them to explain their position on this issue. Why aren't they protecting American elections, which should, in turn, protect, not dilute our citizenship?

The Baseball Hall of Fame Committee is voting on admitting new Members TOMORROW, and these highly respected owners, executives, writers, and, most importantly, Hall of Famers, should do the right thing by finally putting Roger Clemens, known as "The Rocket," in the Hall! Roger is clearly one of the Greatest Pitchers of All Time, with amazing achievements that include winning 354 Games, seven Cy Young Awards (A Record, by a lot!), and playing in six World Series, winning two. "The Rocket" is second only to another All Time GREAT, Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, in most strike-outs. Roger Clemens is the only pitcher who has won 300 games to not have the honor of being enshrined in the Hall of Fame, which is a total travesty! The only reason he is not is because of rumors and innuendo, which were not proven. He never tested positive and, when the Obama DOJ went after him in a criminal case claiming that he did take steroids, Roger, who has always denied taking any drugs, was FULLY ACQUITTED OF ALL CHARGES. "The Rocket," a nickname he earned very early in his career because of his blazing fastball, was just as dominant before those erroneous allegations were leveled against him. I sincerely hope that the Committee uses its great judgment (Roger's opponents never proved a thing against him, and he may have the best pitching record, all told, in the History of Baseball!), and the Baseball Commissioner has the Strength, Wisdom, and Power to do the right thing, and put Roger Clemens in The Baseball Hall of Fame, IMMEDIATELY! Majority Leader John Thune and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson are doing a great job. But the Democrats are crazed lunatics that have lost all sense of wisdom in reality. It's a sick form of the now legendary Trump Derangement Syndrome, TDS, that only comes from losing too much. They want trillions of dollars to be taken from the health care system and given to others who are not deserving. People who have come into our country illegally, many from prisons and mental institutions. This will hurt American citizens and Republicans will not let that happen. It's now time for the Republicans to play their Trump card and go for what's called the nuclear option. Get rid of the filibuster and get rid of it now. We can make our country so strong, so great. We can do all the things that we wanted to do. Just a short while ago, the Democrats, while in power, fought for three years to do this, but were unable to pull it off because of Senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kristen Sinema of Arizona. Never have the Democrats fought so hard to do something because they knew the tremendous strength in terminating the filibuster and everything that would give them. They wanted to do it so badly. We have a chance to do it now and to make our country great again. They want to substantially expand the United States Supreme Court, make Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico states, thereby automatically picking up four Senate seats, many House seats, and at least eight electoral votes, and many other highly destructive things for them. But for us, we can do it. It was their idea originally, Obama and Harry Reid, in order to screw the Republicans. And now we can turn it around, and we can screw the Democrats and make our country so strong. Well, now we're in power, and we can do it, and we should do it, and it should be done immediately and this ridiculous country-destroying shutdown, among many other things. And that's the least of it. If the Democrats ever came back into power, which would be made easier for them if the Republicans are not using the great strength and policies made available to us by ending the filibuster, the Democrats will exercise their rights, and it will be done in the first day they take office, regardless of whether or not we do it. The Democrats want to end the filibuster. It will be done the first day they get into office. Don't you understand that, Republicans? In addition to all the other things that we would get, such as the best judges, the best U.S. attorneys, the best of everything, this would be a concept from years ago of then president, Barack Hussein Obama, and former Majority Leader Harry Reid, in order to take advantage of Republicans. Now I want to do it in order to take advantage of the Democrats. Because of the fact that the Democrats have gone stone-cold crazy, the choice is clear. Initiate the nuclear option, get rid of the filibuster, and make America great again. Republicans, you have to be strong. You can't be weak. We get pushed around too much. These are crooked people. You have to be strong. Get rid of the filibuster, and let's make our country great. Let's end the shutdown. It'll be ended in minutes. Stop it. Be smart. Be strong. And win, win, win.

Levin @marklevinshow THE TRUTH ABOUT WAR POWERS -- DECLARING WAR, MAKING WAR, THE CONSTITUTION, AND THE WAR POWERS ACT FACT: No president, of either party, has accepted the constitutionality of the 1973 War Powers Act. Every president has viewed it as a violation of separation of powers -- the president's Article II plenary power to run foreign policy and his authority as the commander-in-chief. FACT: The Supreme Court has never ruled on the Act's constitutionality and likely never will. Indeed, Congress itself is split on the issue, with Democrats supporting Democrat presidents and Republicans supporting Republican presidents. The War Powers Act is nothing but a political tool used by members of Congress against a president of the opposite party -- and their arguments mostly switch from one side to the other depending on who is president. FACT: The first draft of the Constitution provided that Congress would have the power to MAKE war. The delegates at the Constitutional Convention rejected that language and changed it to DECLARE war, intentionally watering it down because they did not believe a body with numerous members was institutionally capable of making such decisions. FACT: To declare war does not result in making war, e.g., if Congress were to declare war and a president refused to accept such a declaration, Congress cannot force the commander-in-chief to execute such a war. Congress declaring war, which it has done a mere 11 times (mostly during World War II) since the nation's founding, is essentially the highest means by which it can proclaim its support for a war. It is not a condition precedent to making war and never has been. FACT: The only power Congress has to prevent a military operation is the power of the purse. That said, a president who, as commander-in-chief, has authorized military action will not sign such a bill for it is intended to prevent what he has already commanded. Therefore, Congress would need a two-thirds majority of both Houses to override his veto. In other words, a president has broad power to take military action. FACT: Other than the vice president, the president is the only federal official elected by the entirety of the people.
