And welcome to this special Friday night edition of Hannity. And tonight, a reckoning at the Democratic Party and the legacy media mob after years of lies, conspiracy theories, public corruption and outright contempt for all of you, the American people, the elites. On the left, they have been totally exposed. Coming up, we're going to show you the latest insanity from the woke mob's war on Sidney Sweeney, even the vice president, J.D. Vance, is weighing in. Also, Kamala Harris is forcing her way back into the spotlight. Her word salads are worse than ever. Take a look. Poor Dougie. I, you know, for example, my birthday's in October. The election's in November. You see where I'm going? Oh, and the giggling's back. I think you should take a moment as a public service and thank Donald Trump for winning this election. Not only did he stop both Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton from ever becoming president, but thanks to President Trump, sanity is now returning to our nation's capital. Now, think about what we all endured over the last decade. For starters, almost every Democrat, every bureaucrat, every so-called journalist pushing, peddling lies, conspiracy theories as fact. In reality, Trump, Russia, collusion, Russia, Russia, Russia never happened, according to a recently declassified material from the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard. There was no evidence that Russia even wanted Trump to win in 2016, none. That was the original assessment six weeks after the election. It was one big hoax, well, bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. That's what I kept referring to over and over and over again as the Hillary Clinton bought and paid for dirty Russian disinformation dossier. Take a look at your screen. And based on the newly declassified annex from the Durham probe, it was even approved by Hillary Clinton herself and then implemented with the help of then President Barack Hussein, Obama, the CIA, the FBI. There is now a massive trove of hard evidence that Hillary Clinton, powerful federal bureaucrats and maybe even Obama himself worked in coordination. They worked together to push Russian disinformation from the Clinton campaign, why? First to delegitimize Donald Trump's 2016 win, but first to prevent him from winning, but then to hurt his presidency. And of course, the people mentioned in those newly declassified emails, they are denying any and all wrongdoing. And so is the Soros link open society. But in 2020, Hillary Clinton couldn't help but brag that the Russia hoax tainted Trump's 2016 win while also claiming, oh, I'm nothing at all at all. I did not have a single thing to do with that hoax. Not one little thing, not one little bet. Take a look. It is a sign of such desperation by the Republicans, and it also is a reminder that Donald Trump knows that the Russians helped him win in 2016. And that is almost the biggest reason he wants to go back to it time and time again, because he can't come to grips with the fact that there will always be an air of illegitimacy around the 2016 campaign. And he also is always trying to change the subject, trying to somehow cast aspersions on anyone. I happen to be one of his favorite subjects for aspersion casting, but mostly it's just pathetic. Now, in reality, both the Clinton campaign and the DNC, they were forced to pay a large fine for violating campaign laws after attempting to hide their funding of the dirty Russian disinformation dossier. So why would Clinton try to obscure payments for the dossier? The answer is obvious. This wasn't just some kind of political ad campaign, no. A coordinated effort across the federal government and, of course, with their complicit and compliant friends in the legacy media mob to paint Donald Trump as a Russian plant, which he never was despite any real evidence, just a debunked, lying dossier. And after the election, when Donald Trump won in spite of all of this, then it evolved into an effort to sabotage his presidency. And he had to deal with all of these lies, all of these conspiracy theories, for pretty much his entire first term. This dirty Russian disinformation dossier was even used as, quote, "evidence to obtain not one but four FISA court warrants to secretly—to ruin Carter Page's life," and then backdoor spy on the Trump campaign, his transition team, and, of course, his presidency. And we'll have more on that in a moment. But naturally, the New York Times, remember, they got a Pulitzer Prize for getting almost everything wrong. They're busy trying to cast all doubt on all the new evidence coming from Tulsi Gabbard, coming from John Ratcliffe, coming from the Durham Annex. In fact, they're now going back to the well one more time, and they're calling it Russian disinformation yet again, an article out today, quote, "Clinton plan emails were likely made by Russian spies, declassified report shows." Okay, I've got this article right here in front of me. The only problem is the declassified report did not show that. Nowhere in the annex, nowhere does it state the declassified emails were likely made by Russian spies. Instead, the annex revealed that, quote, "Durham consulted the FBI, which assessed that the information was likely authentic, but they couldn't corroborate exact copies of the Bernardo emails with Open Society foundations." That CIA also determined, by the way, the intel was not the product of Russian fabrications. These are career senior intel officials, not the heavy brass that had a political agenda. And at this point, is anyone surprised? The New York Times, the same piece of garbage newspaper that won a Pulitzer Prize for reporting the Russia hoax and peddling these lies, not once, not twice, but over and over again, peddled day in and day out. The same New York Times, you know, that won a Pulitzer Prize for their effusive praise back in the day of Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union. They don't care about the truth. For them, it's all about the agenda and power, and that agenda always lines up perfectly with the Democratic Party. Now, in 2016, it appears that almost every powerful entity was operating as one, all against Donald Trump. It was Clinton, Obama, Brennan, CIA, FBI, Mr. Higher Honor himself, James Comey, who couldn't seem to explain why he hid the true nature of the dossier from President Trump. You might recall. Did you tell him that the Steele dossier had been financed by his political opponents? No. I didn't, I didn't even think I used the term Steele dossier, I just talked about additional material. But did he have a right to know that? That it had been financed by his political opponents? I don't know the answer to that. It wasn't necessary for my goal, which was to alert him that we had this information. Mr. Higher Honor, everyone seemed to be on the same page, pushing the Russia hoax for years. Look at this new report from JustTheNews.com. Even then Vice President Joe Biden called publicly linked Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin right around the same time that Hillary Clinton reportedly signed off on the Russia hoax. And again, none of it was true, where's the apologies, where are the retractions, does anyone on the left or in the government or in the legacy media mob, do they regret anything? You know, the closest we got to an apology when Senator Lindsey Graham asked the people that actually used that Hillary Clinton bought and paid for Russian disinformation, dirty dossier, as the basis, bulk of information for four Pfizer wards, if knowing what they know now, would they do it again? These answers are priceless. Take a look. If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the warrant application in June of 2017 against Carter Page? Uh, no, sir. Okay. If you knew then what you know now, would you have signed the warrant application? No, I would not. Well, I believe you didn't know that what you signed was wrong. The question is, if you had known, you wouldn't have signed it. Is that correct? No. If I had known that it contained incorrect information, I certainly wouldn't have signed it. Knowing then what you know now about all the things that we've come to find, would you have still signed the warrant application against Carter Page in October, January, and April? They continue the operation, and they launder this intelligence into stuff that was meant to by the FBI and the CIA to sideline a presidency of a duly elected president of the United States of America, to sideline them. And that continued. You heard even some people on this committee further that nonsense for four years. And then the FBI is involved with pre-bunking the Hunter Biden laptop story, because they couldn't, they didn't want them to get elected again. So they pre-bunked the Hunter Biden laptop story. The American people should have been allowed to make their own judgments from that. They weren't, because the FBI called it a Russian hack and leak operation. They were meeting with social media companies every month and every week, telling them that the laptop, that they knew that they had verified in November of 2019, they knew it was real and it was his, said it was Russian disinformation. We've heard that before. And then after Joe Biden comes in, three days in, they start a censorship campaign against the country, anybody who was a conservative. And now we also know that the FBI was weaponized in this Arctic Frost investigation that tapped the phones of sitting US senators and also the Republican attorneys general association. So let's pull in two more US senators, Ashley Moody and myself, who were on the executive committee at that time, Charlie Kirk, political organizations they didn't agree with. This is not in the Soviet union in the 1980s. This is in the United States of America in the last few years. And then when they thought President Trump was on the run and there's no way people would elect him and then he announces he's running for president. Three days later, Jack Smith's appointed to get Trump. Fannie Willis brings charges against President Trump and the assistant prosecutor meets with the White House counsel's office. Why would that happen? Then you have Alvin Bragg bring his charges, the number three person at DOJ goes to work for him to get Trump all in the United States of America. This continued. And Senator Hawley asked the question, wrote it down, what is happening in this country? And I hope that MSNBC is still broadcasting this because I'm sure their viewership hasn't heard this story that's gone on for 10 years. The truth is, they never forgave President Trump for coming down the escalator at all. They didn't like him. They didn't like the disruption. And they've spent the better part of a decade, not just going after him, but demonizing half the country as fascists and Nazis and threats to democracy. And they have fueled this division in their inability to accept the fact that half of the country isn't deplorables as Hillary Clinton called her, bitter clingers as Barack Obama called them, or trash as Joe Biden called them. But they rose up and they sat in their own jury box and they saw all this stuff play out over a decade and they rejected it. And now you have come in to clean that up and you are doing a great job in doing that. And let me make this clear, there is a big difference between what happened under the Biden regime and the weaponization and then holding those people accountable. That is not weaponization. If that doesn't happen, this will happen all over again. So your job, as you talked about in your confirmation hearing, is so important that this never happens again. And holding people accountable as part of this conspiracy is absolutely your job. And I'm also taking, you don't have to comment on this, your unwillingness to answer questions that have come up, I am led to believe as a former attorney general, that that might mean there's an ongoing investigation. You don't have to talk about it. The statute of limitations may have run on some of this stuff, but not on a conspiracy. And if you're a co-conspirator in mile marker one, even if you want to get on the exit ramp in mile marker five, you are liable for the conspiracy in mile marker 10. And we are at mile marker 10. - April 2nd, 2025 will forever be remembered as the day American industry was reborn, the day America's destiny was reclaimed, and the day that we began to make America wealthy again. (audience applauding) When I'm making it wealthy, it couldn't work. - Trudeau has promised on a campaign trail and to address a growing national emergency over America's chronic and massive trade deficits. President Trump has imposed terror of some countries around the world. Trump-nomics goal is not only to reduce America's trade deficit, it is to defend American workers and factories against unfair trade practices, while encouraging trillions of dollars of investment in new American plan and equipment. The policy is working for America, and no one should be surprised by this. This is because before the word tariff became synonymous with President Donald Trump, generations of American statesmen built the foundation for today's America First agenda. Their ideas were rooted in three core principles, sovereignty, security, and the protection of American workers. Economic nationalism, also known as economic populism, isn't new. It's a return to the proven economic model that built the greatest industrial power in world history. It started with Alexander Hamilton, the original architect of American economic nationalism. In his report on manufacturers, Hamilton laid it out clearly. The United States needed tariffs to defend its young industries from British domination and to secure true independence, not just politically, but economically. Hamilton knew that if America relied on foreign powers for manufactured goods, it would always be vulnerable. Decades later, Henry Clay carried Hamilton's vision forward. His American system prioritized three things, a strong national bank, major infrastructure investment, and above all, protective tariffs. Clay said it best in 1824. The tariff is to tax the produce of foreign industry with the view of promoting American industry. That's the same logic President Trump used nearly 200 years later when he invoked Section 232 to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum to stop foreign overproduction and dumping from crushing American jobs. Like Trump, Clay faced fierce opposition, the Southern-led nullification crisis sparked by the tariffs of 1828 and 1832 nearly tore the country apart. But the principle helped protect American industry or risk dependence on foreign powers. Then came Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president. Lincoln proudly called himself in old line Henry Clay Wigg and understood the value of tariffs. During the Civil War, tariff revenues helped finance the Union Army. And after the war, they fueled a rapid industrial expansion. Lincoln knew that protecting American industry meant protecting American workers and protecting the American nation itself. Fast forward to the late 19th century, William McKinley, son of an ironworker and cycle of clay, took up the mantle. In 1890, he passed one of the highest protective tariffs in US history, with duties exceeding 50%. In his 1896 campaign, McKinley declared, "I'm a tariff man standing on a tariff platform." McKinley won, and under his leadership, the United States became the world leader in agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. He credited that success directly to the protective trade system. - This is one of the most important days, in my opinion, in American history. It's a declaration of economic independence. For years, hardworking American citizens were forced to sit on the sidelines as other nations got rich and powerful. Much of it at our expense. But now it's our turn to prosper, and in so doing, use trillions and trillions of dollars to reduce our taxes and pay down our national debt, and it'll all happen very quickly. With today's action, we are finally going to be able to make America great again, greater than ever before. - The fake news wants us to believe these are fringe ideas, but history teaches us this is the American tradition. President Trump's trade agenda, especially his bold use of tariffs, draws along this long line of economic nationalism. From Hamilton to Clay, from Lincoln to McKinley, and now President Donald John Trump, the core idea has remained the same. Put American workers first. Build American industry. Protect American sovereignty. This is the heart of the America first agenda. It's not new, it's certainly not radical. It's the most American economic policy in history. Five leaders, one philosophy. Make tariffs great again. Make America great again. Trump promises made, Trump promises always kept.
